Lovely place and great attention to detail

The place was cozy. Really liked the attention to detail put into designing the place and things like the entertainment set up including Netflix account ready to use.

Mooie, ruime, schone vakantieplek in een rustige landelijke omgeving.

Heerlijk rustig vakantieonderkomen met een prachtig verwarmd zwembad. Rustige, landelijke ligging maar de gezelligheid en faciliteiten van Cambridge binnen handbereik.

We wilden op dag 2 ook lekker zonnen en zwemmen maar toen was het zwembad door familie ingenomen.

Highly recommended and now our preferred go-to when we travel to the Waikato.

The location is country between Cambridge and Hamilton. It is quiet, away from the road and was easy to find. The rest of the review is from my wife :-) With all its fittings / furniture / cushions / throw rugs / extra blankets and pillows I equate it to a home away-from-home. Perfectly appointed with everything we might need in all areas - kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, laundry. It was lovely and warm without any extra heating required. Lots of windows for light and air circulation. The windows / door drapes are on the outside of the nets. A hmmmm moment that I liked but can't say why. The pool is large and clean but it was too cold for us to use during our stay despite being permitted to use it if we wanted. Lynley was an exceptional hostess.

Not a lot of hot water. The second shower was almost cold. I found the extra large bed perfect but my wife thought it was too soft. It rained hard during our stay and we didn't like driving/parking the car on the grass in case we ripped it up or killed it so we made sure to drive really slow to prevent long-term damage.

Wonderful place to be in, comfortable, clean, and suit for the occasion.

The location was beautiful and not too far from Hamilton. However, if we had to buy something we had to be aware that there is not shops around so we need to bring our own stuffs.

We stay two nights. The first we got the heater on however, we tried to safe electricity to the owner and we turn it off during the day as we were not on-site most of the day, and when we came back we got the surprise of getting into a cold unit. It would be great if next time the owner can check that so we don’t get that experience again. Herbal teas would be ideal for you to provide, i tend to drink a tea before bed but I didn’t find any tea around and as I said there were no shops nearby.

Want a five hotel experience in the heart of waipa , stay in the pool house!!

I am not one to really leave reviews but I’m definitely gonna go out of my way to leave the host of this property I review due to one of the best stays I’ve had in any accommodation that I have booked. It may only be a Airbnb or a bed and breakfast but the welcoming I got from the hosts And the luxury feel to the accommodation it is by far the best stay I’ve had over any five star hotel room . Well done to the hosts you’ve done such an amazing job.

Luxury rural retreat

This place was amazing ,beautiful decor ,comfortable bed it was a very spacious private appartment in the country . The pool was right outside the door. Loved the touch of a complementary breakfast ,perfect when you are on the move. Thank you.

Very good

A very comfortable, quiet place to stay. Excellent bed and good for relaxing at night. The pool looked nice but not the right time of the year to use. We looked at the photos and saw that there was a big fridge which suited us very well as we were on our way to a family function and had a lot of food with us. Convenient for getting into both Cambridge and Hamilton (although we had no need to travel anywhere for a meal).

Basic breakfast food provided (cereals, bread and small packets of spreads). Would have appreciated some fruit. Milk was 4 days past its use by date - although it still tasted all right.

Already planning our next trip back!

A picture perfect property with the friendliest host in the most gorgeous town! We couldn’t have been happier to stumble across this amazing place online, and will absolutely be back. Lynley was so accommodating and so lovely to talk to. If you love Three Birds Renovations / Early Settler style you will be in heaven at this beautiful property!

Our stay was a much needed mini holiday in a lovely wee house in the country.

The location was in the amazing rural country, quiet and very close to both Cambridge and Hamilton. It also meant we could safely bike around the country roads and take in all the scenery. The Pool house is very spacious and decorated in a comfy style. The bathroom is super modern with a large perfect shower and also has a new washing machine, dryer, iron if needed. The king size bed was very comfortable and there is a wide screen TV in the lounge with Netflix. The magazines and candles makes a nice home away from home touch. There is a dining table just beside the generous kitchen, which has a full fridge/freezer, bench oven and lots of appliances. Everything was laid out well for easy use, so it would be ideal for staying longer than the 2 days we stayed.

As amazing as the pool house is, there was only 2 little issues that didn't spoil the stay at all and is something that can easily be changed. It didn't have the soft fluffy towels as advertised on the website and despite having a well stocked cupboard of towels, every single one was scratchy and hard which didn't feel nice to use. The other issue which certainly wouldn't be a problem for everyone, was the complimentary breakfast. There is a preference option at booking, but I pretty much assumed at this cost a night, there would be like most motels a nice box of different teas, some real fruit and a bigger variety of little jams. There is adequate cereals and coffee, but not earl grey or herbal tea. We bought the milk/bread we like which made good sense but that could also go down as a preference at booking.

A home away from home.

Very friendly host. The shower had great pressure and the bathroom was a great size. Having a washing machine & dryer was a real added bonus as we had been away for a week. The pool house was very nicely decorated with good parking right at the door.As it was hot the fans were an excellent bonus.The breakfast supplies were good. Will try to return again. WiFi was great. Our host gave us a small gift when we left which we really enjoyed.

There had been a storm which affected the swimming pool but was OK to paddle my feet in.

Loved it! Wish I could have stayed longer

Simply stunning decor and spacious. Much better than a motel and even has a washing machine and drier which was great after being away from home for a week. I only stayed for a night but look forward to coming back in the future.

A delightful location and place to stay local for 2 nights. Plenty of space, parking, lovely linen

I enjoyed knowing that the owner had such pride in the place. The location was excellent and piece of mind on a private property with no emergency housing resident issues. I felt like it was my own place.

Lovely decor and beautifully done but hate to say that too many fake plants and wonderful scatter cushions could attract some dust which is not good for allergy sufferers. I would remove several cushions from purely a cleaning perspective.

Tasteful, stylish and romantic, we will definitely recommend The Pool House as a great place to stay

Our stay at the Pool House was absolutely great. The chalet is tastefully and stylishly decorated, was warm and comfortable, with everything provided. They even left a jar of their honey to have {Tui Bees, their own brand of honey}. We found it very relaxing, with comfortable lounge, throw rugs, big screen. Bathroom was big with washing machine provided. The bedroom was comfy. We would definitely recommend it, and would consider returning ourselves again in the future. The price was excellent value for such a nice little chalet. Great for a little getaway.

Highly Recommend

Beautiful decor and very light throughout, everything you need. Washing machine and dryer handy. Great size bathroom and the shower head is big with good water pressure. Bed very comfortable and warm. Immaculately kept. Owner is lovely.
