It was very cozy. Really clean and tidy.

A lovely charming cottage, situated on the river front. Clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again.

Hosts were fab, really quick responses to queries & even surprised us with groceries! Cottage was lovely. They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it “in character” whilst still having all the facilities you’d need. Lovely little local stores & amazing ice creams. Even appears to have a very regular local bus service for non-drivers!
It’s also a perfect base for Cadbury’s World, WMSP & the Black County Museum etc.
We managed to time our visit with the regatta haha, so if you love rowing & racing & early starts it’s perfect! That said we only caught two days of it & the river view was worth the wake up call :)

Lovely location , well equipped for four adults.
Small double bed and soft furniture, probably OK for most

Location and the parking arrangements while we stayed at the property. We were there as a group of older gentlemen visiting the SVR for the weekend and the property is located well for Bewdley Station.
As a group of older gentlemen we came across too many down sides with this property and it's description regarding the bed arrangements amongst other things!!!!
1, The property is described as having 1 double bed in bedroom 1 and 3 Twin? beds in bedroom 2 and a sofa bed in the lounge!
The double bed is correct, but bedroom 2 has only 2 SINGLE BEDS and a pull out mattress which is best described as only suitable for children! When this pull out mattress is in use there is just NO ROOM AT ALL in the Attic!!!! Certainly not for 3 grown men. The Sofa bed is NOT to be used !!! There is a chair bed!!! We were told by the owners!!!! This amounted to 3 square foam cushions to lay on the floor!!!! But there wasn't bed linen even for this just a quilt, JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH! WE ARE PAYING GUESTS, TERRIBLE.
We contacted the owners asking for more bed pillows as there was only one per single and they were as flat as pancakes and none for the floor mattress (which by the way had a mattress protector on and no bottom sheet)or chair bed, the owners replied saying there was spare in the sideboard or bedroom cupboard, all we could find was an old feather pillow absolutely covered in other people's SWEAT STAINS, in my experience all pillows for guests should have protectors on! This is basic stuff.
This is a really important safety concern regarding the shower over the bath as it's ONLY a very basic version fitted to the bath MANUAL MIXER TAP and NOT THERMOSTATIC as it should be for paying guests! This is so very dangerous as my father found out whilst he showered and another one of us run the water to wash up downstairs! The water was scalding HOT !!! Plus it's so hard to get the water to an ok temperature in the first place, also the sink in the bathroom is next to useless, we'd never seen such a small sink.

The cottage is in the best location in Bewdley, everything is just a short walk away. The property was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The owners provided very detailed information and good tips on places to eat and visit nearby, a good choice for a couple looking for a weekend away.
It didn't affect us two but the property is very small and I wouldn't recommend it for more than 2 adults and a small child.

We stayed at Kingfisher cottage for a weekend in April for two nights. Located right on the waterfront of the River Severn, close to the road bridge that crosses over the river, and within easy walking distance of shops, car parks and Riverside trails - it is a lovely location. Car parking is in the nearby Frog Lane long stay car park (provided free of charge) and the cottage itself is very well appointed with a fridge stocked with bread, milk, cheese, fruit juice, and plenty of tea and coffee available as well. Julie and John have transformed what was an old cottage in poor condition into a very nice home. And the quality of their instructions and information before we arrived was nothing short of exceptional.
However, it is a very narrow cottage. In fact only 83 inches wide in the downstairs lounge. This means there is no dining table or chairs to eat from. There is only a narrow ledge with four bar stools, so there's nowhere to sit down and have a relaxed meal at all. Similarly, the lounge which is a step down from the dining ledge area is very narrow and this means it does not make a particularly comfortable place (or particularly warm) to sit in the evenings. Upstairs is one bedroom with a narrow 4 foot double bed and another flight of stairs leading to a room with sloping ceilings and two single beds. The upstairs bathroom has a bath, shower, wash basin and toilet but is very tight and the downstairs bathroom with a toilet and wash basin is positively microscopic! I hate to write negative reviews especially when the property is so well cared for and so many things were provided. But I have to say that although the location was great, I would not stay here again simply because the cottage was so small and narrow.

What more can I say apart from perfect little cottage,we fell in love with it before we stepped inside, located in a perfect place and a tiny drive to the safari park and many more things for the kids!! Julie and John were perfect with us and anything we needed they were just a txt away!! The cherry on top of it all the kids opening the freezer and there were ice lollies there for the children and milk for us to have a lovely cupper!! We will be booking in the near future!! If I sum it all up in one word it would be PERFECT ❤️ thank you to our host Julie and John

Perfect location, just few doors away from two pubs and a cafe and just around the corner from the town.
No drawers for clothes in the attic bedroom and no lamp by the bed.

Fantastic location and beautiful cottage.
Would have been nice to have been able to use the log burner.

Loved the location, the property was easy to access and of a good clean standard very well presented and great with river frontage, we received full details / location / recommendation's and check in details from owners which were extremely easy to understand and follow and very much appreciated

The location is absolutely perfect, stones thrown away from all our favourite places.
We liked that it had 2 toilets- super handy for a family of 5.
It was a clean well presented cottage, with a modern kitchen equipped with all the necessities.
The double bed must be a small double as there wasn’t slot of room for myself and my partner.
It would of been lovely if the wood burner worked, especially for the cold evenings after a long day out.

The bed settee was not comfortable,as you cannot use it,a comfy settee would be the better alternative.

Charming comfortable and stylish cottage situated right by the riverside and and in the heart of Bewdley.
Close to restaurants, great pubs and shops etc.
Communication with Julie was fantastic, she was always available to contact and check in was all very easy.
The cottage was extremely spotless, clean and comfortable. Very sweet of Julie and John to also leave a cake in the fridge for my arrival. Nice little touches.
I will certainly be returning.
Thank you again :)

Fantastic, great location near the Riverside and with walking distance to lots of pubs, restaurants and groceries. Only a few minutes drive from the Safari park which is well worth the visit.
Cottage was well equipped, with everything you could need. They even had fresh milk, orange juice and a lemon cake in the fridge on arrival.
Beds were comfortable and got a good night's sleep.
A very modern, stylish house, whilst keeping to the period features of an older cottage.
Highly recommended!
