Beautiful locatie and castle. Friendly staff. Amazing food
Room was quite small and dark

It was a beautiful rural setting. With great space and scenery. Very authentic. Beautiful buildings and an enormous bedroom suite. Magnificent organic food. And although the staff were not all fluent in English they were very kind and very helpful
It felt a bit empty. Perhaps we were ahead of the crowds. Not a bad thing. Jut not sure where the people were

charming and understated, felt like a hidden gem.
would have been amazing to have a bit of help with our bags from the car (help alongside us, we wouldn’t ever expect it) but such a small point & hopefully you don’t mind me suggesting it. A simple dish on the menue such as pizza would have been great.

From beginning to end, our stay at Borgo Petroro was truly great! The location is stunning and we had a beautiful view across the hills from our room. We were well taken care of by the attentive and friendly staff throughout our stay. We loved our time in Umbria and this was a great base from which to explore!!

wonderful, great professional team of staff, nothing was too much trouble
all perfect

Very nice location and restored Castle. The room was a little bit too small for a longer stay. It's hardly possible to open and place the luggage for 2 people in the room. The staff is very kind and helpful! So overall the prices are too high for the room size.....

Location was picturesque and beautifully quiet.
Breakfast had big range from croissants, muesli and freshly squeezed orange juice to pancakes or scrambled eggs.
We returned for dinner after our stay as the restaurant food and wine was so good

Location: Well placed for day trips to various towns and villages in Umbria.
Clean: The grounds are very well-maintained and clean. the rooms are well appointed and very quiet and comfortable. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing. We loved the bird songs at all hours of the day.
Food: The meals were excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Dinners were some of the best we had in all of Umbria.
People: Possibly the best feature of the Borgo Petroro - the entire staff was kind, patient and so inviting. From the ladies in Reception to the Housekeepers and the Server staff. The morning we were to leave each and every one genuinely gave us a warm goodbye. Wonderful people!
Nothing, everything was great.

The scenery was amazing and kept extremely clean. Staff were all so friendly and always greeted with a smile.
The location was very remote - which is great if you have a car rental. Not accessible if you do not. But that is no fault of borgo petroro!

Beautiful spacious rooms in an enchanting setting. Incredible views of the countryside. Very peaceful location. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and our room was upgraded to a royal suite with jacuzzi. This gesture was very appreciated and made our stay extra special.

Borgo is beautiful, but we missed some cozy ambiance.
In general staff was polite, but not friendly, with exception of a very nice, cheerful and helpful breakfast lady.
Having to pay extra for sauna, etc. For a location such as Borgo it is expected to be inclusive.

Rooms, surroundings, welcome, restaurant
The bar at the pool was serving bad quality cocktails for such high prices. If these are the prices you should then pair it with a top notch service and a qualified barman. The property should be Adults only to enjoy the quietness and relax. in our case there qas a family with a kid who made a lot of noise in the pool and were disturbing all the other people

Borgo Petroro was actually a castle in the 12th century, recently was transformed to a wonderful and luxury hotel with only 9 rooms. we stayed 4 nights that were magic - from the design, the exceptional and personal service of the wonderful staff, the location is great, the breakfast was really good and the our room was fantastic. don't miss the wonderful restaurant!
