The accomodation was very romantic and clean, and the owner are super helpfull. If you rent a scooter you can get anywhere pretty easily and there is a nice market on top of the stairs. We will definetley come back here!
4.0 / 5.0
The Pros: - spacious terrace with a beautiful view of the ocean and coastline.
-Beautiful and Quiet area
-Market Nearby
-Spacious apartment with a decent size bathroom
-Kitchen is functional if you choose to cook your own meals.
The Cons:
-It is a workout to get to the front door if you are accessing the apt from the lower road. Lots of steps! If you are not able-bodied enough for a decent hike to get to the unit, you will not have a good time.
-It does not seem safe to walk on the roads (narrow winding cliffside roads, no sidewalks, fast traffic), and there are no restaurants very close, so getting dinner nearby can be a challenge. Also many restaurants within 1km of the apt were inexplicably closed on a Tues/Wed night.
-There is no landline phone in the unit. We were hoping to call a restaurant for food delivery, but that was not an option.
-All the beaches nearby were closed for the season and we were not informed of this.
- Busses can be challenging to navigate from the apt.
- Kitchen ceilings are very low
- Microwave is broken
- There is a Drip Coffee machine, but filters are not available for purchase nearby (we ended up using the Moka)
-Getting a bus back to this area from Amalfi was a sh*t show. Long unorganized lines, packed busses etc.
Overall I'm glad we had the experience, but staying in this area of Amalfi is a logistical challenge. Walkability was really tough w/ narrow roads and lack of nearby restaurants.

Wonderful spot with access to nearby reserved parking and within walking distance of Amalfi

If you’re staying at this property in Amalfi, you’re lucky!! Very clean, excellent communication with the host and excellent location. The porch and the view were wonderful - we spent most of our time enjoying the view and the large porch! The kitchen was great to cook in, bedroom very comfortable (AC was a nice benefit!), all the books and help from the host were wonderful. We will be staying here again on our next visit to Amalfi!

Great little spot that is well described. Amalfi has lots of steps and this place has them as well. Take you time and plan and you will be fine. Bus worked well for us and the market was great.

We enjoyed our stay in this small vacation rental. The views from the outside Terrace are fantastic. Not really any views from the inside . Very convenient to have a little supermarket right at the top of the stairs, as well as the bus stop. I do recommend renting a car or scooter, it is so much easier to get around that way. We were here in July so it was really really hot. The apartment is equipped with everything, with a lot of attention to details. The owner helped us swiftly work out a snafu with the Wi-Fi, thank you again for that. We knew about the stairs, but underestimated it a little bit. So if you don't mind them, this is a great place to stay. Quiet and peaceful at night. The only thing, the beds are really hard. The owner is super nice and was available for any questions and even helped us get a transport on our leaving day to the harbor.

The apt is quaint and equipped with all of the essentials. The air conditioner wasn’t nearly powerful enough to cool the apt if this is important to you. It’s very hot. The owners had someone bring over a large fan which helped circulate air a few days in. They were very accommodating in helping us secure a scooter (which we highly recommend) in order to get around the Amalfi Coast. The views are breathtakingly beautiful and the food is divine to say the least. The apt location is great and close to the market and shopping.

Such a beautiful property - very central to everything, clean, unreal views. Stairs kept us fit and helped offset the pizza and pasta. 10/10 recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is clean, compact and perfectly equipped. The terrace is gorgeous and offers wonderful views of the sea, mountains and adjoining villages. Buses to Agerola and Naples can be accessed at the top of the stairs and to Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento at the bottom. The hosts are very helpful and will look after you. Sure, the stairs are hard work but they'll keep you fit! No complaints.

This place is definitely a gem! Patrizia, her husband Luca, and Nunzia are kind and receptive hosts. This place was a perfect location as well for us to have some time to explore Amalfi. Busses are frequent from the upstairs or downstairs and beaches are close by as well. Loved the terrace and view of the beautiful coast. This would be a great place to come for a family retreat along the Amalfi coast. Thanks for the accomodations!

Great location, close to bus stop with lovely view.
Incredible balcony for an evening wine while watching the sunset
Kitchen bit too cramped to cook, but lots of nice restaurants close by.

Splendida terrazza vista mare e monti

Gerne wieder....

Beautiful Amalfi coastline
The property description was very accurate and the terrace really is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast , lunch or dinner with beautiful views along the coast. Patrizia was always very prompt replying to any queries and the information she provided covering everything from how to reach the apartment to the best beaches was all spot on and incredibly helpful. We used the telephone number she provided to book a private transfer from the airport as we were arriving after public transport had stopped. This was so easy to arrange and our driver was waiting exactly where they said they would be. Nunzia who looks after the apartment was waiting to meet us despite it being nearly midnight and even with the language barrier managed to convey all the essential information about market, buses, beaches and restaurants etc. She is lovely and had even provided us with some drinks, fruit and snacks. We traveled everywhere by bus, boat or foot which is very easy to do. People aren’t kidding about the amount of steps, but all that exercise means you can enjoy more lovely Italian food and wine! Great place for exploring the fabulous Amalfi Coast.

Can't beat the Amalfi coast
Great retreat from the hussel and bustle of life. Although as stated elsewhere, only for the those in good shape. Lots of steps for every where you go. If you don't like great vistas and great cardio, don't come here and don't complain if you do. Don't expect public transportation as it will take you forever to get around if you do. Walk at least 1000 steps to the beach straight down is nice stone beach with a couple of restaurants and umbrella chairs combos. Down and to the right is a fantastic restaurant called Cielo Mare Terra which will give you a ride back after dinner. The service and food outstanding but charge accordingly for that quality of restaurant.

You couldn't ask for more!
A great place to see Amalfi from. It is a unique and cultural location. The description to the apartment was very accurate so you should understand that there are stairs. This posed no problems for us and we are in our fifties. The walking gives you a great perspective of Amalfi life and the views are much better than riding in a bus. Our hosts were excellent and went the extra mike even to book a great restaurant for my birthday. Would stay here again in a second. Thank you!

Beautiful view
The apt is great. Ceiling is low over the sink is the only bad thing I can say. Not very big, but for me and my college aged girls it was fine. Steps and hills everywhere around Amalfi. Its just part of it. If they tell you its 100 steps they mean 150. Same with walking. 300 meters is 800 meters. The highlight for ua was Nunzia, she is a wonderful person. She speaks very little English, we speak very little Italian but she made us feel at home and was very helpful. Patrizia is very helpful. He message right back and is very informative. Trust him on getting too beaches and such. The Market just up the steps from the house was incredible and very reasonably priced. Peronis were only 1 euro. Incredible. I will stay there again.

It was nice. Stocked nicely
There were 165 steps down from the road and then 165 up. You do get some exercise. The home was clean and well stocked with dishes. We only had one issue with the washing machine since it is written in Italian, we couldn't figure out what to put some of the buttons on. We had stayed at another Airbnb before this one that had one but they had marked what they were for. When I contacted them, he made me feel like I was not very smart for not being able to figure it out. I was told it's a washing machine. So I just picked options and hoped for the best. The patio is amazing and it was so quiet there.

Truly wonderful. The location was stunning and the outside terrace was beautiful.
Quite an amazing location, with access to a variety of beaches. Visitors should note that there are a lot of stairs involved in getting to and from the apartment, so bear that in mind. That aside, it is a truly lovely place to stay. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect quiet spot
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was a bit far from Amalfi, but if you can manage to catch the bus that goes directly in town, you are fine. The view is magical. Would stay again for sure :)

The property was amazing. The rooftop garden is unbelievable. The apartment is small but very cozy and perfect for two people. Everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Her place is by a little market that has everything you need and bus stops nearby to take you to Amalfi, Positano, and Sorrento. You can also walk into Amalfi, it is about 40 minutes and a little scary along the skinny roads. It was nice to do it once or twice though. Patrizia was very helpful in helping us find the place, but it is a bit difficult to find the first time. The bus drivers did not seem to know where it was but once you find it he first it is no longer a problem. There is also a lot of steps, but there is a lot of steps everywhere in the region. We took the pinttours shuttle bus that leaves from the Naples airport and goes directly to the amalfi square for for 15 euros a head. Very simple and easy to find and use. From there you take a Sita bus towards Agerola or Sorrento and get off in Vettica. The buses go right by stops at times if they are too full. Under Patrizia’s recommendation we went to the Santa Croce beach. It was 20 euros for the boat ride from Amalfi to the beach ) only accessible by boat) and two sun chairs and an umbrella. Well worth the money as it is much less busy than the other beaches nearby. ( more info in her package left at the place). We also loved our trip to Positano which is easilyAccessible by the bus stop right by her place. Easily the defining feature of the place is the rooftop garden looking out over the water and lemon fields. Very beautiful for meals and wine while relaxing after a day of sight seeing. Patrizia was very nice and helpful. It was a great stay. We loved it.

Awesome Awesome Awesome
Very beautiful views of the Amalfi coast. Really enjoyed our authentic Italian experience of staying at Patrizia’s local casa. I would not have traded the time we spent in a monthly for anything. FYI.. there are many many many stairs so make sure you’re in great shape before you arrive. We walked to town very easily and we also rode the local buses (to Positano and train station) and a taxi, the experience was awesome. You’re definitely in a very safe spot here.

Absolutely Stunning
The coastal town of Amalfi boasts a great deal of tourists and is quite busy down below. It is a gorgeous scene but if one wants to escape the touristic side of things, having a home up on the cliffs with a beautiful terrace is a perfect remedy. Patrizia's home was a cute little paradise hidden away from the noise and hectic bus loops and main street. We spend the majority of our time cooking meals and drinking wine out on the large terrace that gave us an entire view of the coastline. With a perfect little market perched on the street above us - we had everything we needed to enjoy this slice of paradise.

Great location!
We stayed here for 9 nights in late June/early July. It was great! The weather was in the 80s and sunny every day. The apartment is wonderful, right near two bus stops and a market, and a short walk to a tabacchi (you can get coffee, drinks, food all day). The bed is not super comfortable (rather hard) but it is big enough for two to sleep comfortably. The air conditioner is key and cools off the house quickly! There is laundry and a 2 burner stove with pots and pans and a small refrigerator. We cooked many nights, and went to most of the restaurants recommended by the owner. Dinners out and in were amazing!! We spent a ton of time reading on the terrace and looked out at the most beautiful views of the water! The stairs leading to the apartment are very steep so get ready to exercise! You empty your trash up at the street and there can be an ant problem if you leave any food out, so just be clean! We had no any problems whatsoever. The apartment is close to amalfi but it makes the most sense to take the bus to any city, as parking is nearly impossible and if you find a spot it's expensive. (€3/hr) The only thing I wish the apartment supplied were beach towels, so bring your own if you plan on heading to a beach. I would highly recommend this property!

Views plus quiet
The apartment was very good value for money. It is actually more roomy and comfortable than it looks in the photos though anyone over 170cm has to bend over in the kitchen. The leafy, shady terrace is so wonderful you spend most of your time out there. We walked into Amalfi every day (there is a path you can take to avoid walking on the road but we found it harder work than just going down the stairs beside the house and then strolling the gradual downhill slope to town). It was harder work walking home which we had to do once - don't trust that buses will necessarily arrive on time- or at all. Or, if they do, that they will stop for you if they're already crowded. Last bus from Amalfi is 9.00pm and we missed it because the bus back from Ravello was half an hour late. Taxi driver quoted 80 euros for the 15 minute trip. Patrizia and Lucca were very welcoming and helpful and have made sure the apartment has everything you would need for a pleasant stay.

Amalfi Coast rental
The property is situated high above the Amalfi Coast with spectacular views from the lovely terrace. The furnishings are minimal but adequate. No basic food supplies (coffee, sugar, oil,, vinegar) are provided, but there is a small market nearby. Several flights of steep stairs to reach the house could be a problem if you have heavy luggage. The biggest problem, however, is parking. Despite the assurances of the absentee proprietors, legal parking is very rare. My car ended up being towed, and I lost half a day and about $200 to recover it from the police. I recommend either not bringing a car or being prepared to pay 20 Euros per day to park the car in a secure place about 1 km. away.
