Location by Gap of Dunloe/McGillicuddy’s Reeks, lovely house, friendly hostess, good breakfast included, good value for such a scenic location.
4.5
Such a warm welcome, like being at a home away from home, useful information and comfortable stay!
4.5
Nice to be out of the city and only a few minutes from Kate Kearneys cottage and Gap of Dunloe. Theresa and Helena were lovely and helpful hosts.
4.5
very friendly, perfect spot for visiting the Killarney National Park!

The hosts are very kindly and gave us a lot of tips for places and restaurants. we were greeted with apple pie and cha. Excellent bed, everything clean. Breakfast is good. Irish breakfast and vegetarian option they made too.
The room does not have a heater, but the bed has a electric blanket heater. The place for take a shower is inside the room, a little small and dark..

The location was phenomenal! Very central location to hikes in Killarney!

Super warm and friendly welcome, a lot of tips and explanations about what to do in the area
The place is a bit old school and cluttered. The whole family is very very friendly though and you will love being their guests.

Thank you so much, I absolutely loved my stay! It was only 1 night but well worth it.
Theresa, Eugene and their daughter are so welcoming, it really felt homely. Tea and biscuits, a delicious breakfast (eggs cooked to perfection), tips for places to go to and a very comfy bed that was much needed after a day travelling and doing a 30k cycle.
The location is excellent for the Gap of Dunloe. If I had more than half a day and a car I would have gone further. It was enough time however to walk up the road, up little Strickeen mountain before going down and along to the Black Lake - beautiful, you can hear cuckoos in the valley and get incredible views.
You're right by Kate Kearney's cottage for Irish music and dancing in the evening. I hear the food is good too but I only had a delicious dessert - make sure you get there before 8pm!
It is a location that is best for people who come with a car.
It's doable without but you have to walk from Beaufort - still beautiful though and you get to see some Ogham Stones along the way!
I'd also like to add it's a great place for solo travellers.
It was only one night!

This was an amazing experience, the host was incredibly kind, welcoming you with a cup of tea/coffee. I had a feeling I have visited my family. They were highly supportive and recommended local attractions, helping me with the taxi, and all other questions I had. The room was fantastic, high standard of cleanliness, and everything was perfect, location was fantastic, and the area was at the beginning of Gap of Dunloe. For sure, if I come to Killarney, this is the place I will stay. I highly recommend you to stay at Wayside B&B. Suzana
nothing, everything was perfect.

Home and room were clean and quiet with EXCELLENT hostess. The location by the Gap of Dunloe, which wasn't even on our original plans, was FANTASTIC. The Gap with waterfalls, quiet, and sheep turned out to be the highlight of our trip.
The room was small and there were no luggage racks. The window sill shelf and dresser did provide space to put things. The shower had to be turned on/off outside the bathroom with an "eco mode" that was freezing cold.

The host was very welcoming and was happy to store our bikes overnight. Breakfast was rich and delicious. Pleasant garden in the front where you could relax in a chair, especially in the sunny days we were lucky to have.
Thin walls, you could hear some of the noise but it was quiet enough.

Such a lovely family owned B&B. Close to town but away from all the loudness, which is perfect. Helpful and friendly hosts. Clean and well maintained, the breakfast is lovely, the way the tables and everything is set up - you can tell the hosts are professional and caring. Me and my fiancé love supporting small Irish businesses and we will definitely be back as we loved our stay and we love Killarney altogether!
