lovely breakfast , nice food / bar thru-out, location is out of the way. At first I was worried, but came to appreciate NOT being near the Hotel Zone ( with traffic, noise, crowds ).

Towel service & quality can use an upgrade. Otherwise, for the price, everything was terrific

Zimmer wirklich schön, aber das Essen ist dort nich zum empfehlen.

Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und schön!

Das Essen war eine Frechheit. Habe bei der Bar/Restaurant Hive Pommes bestellt und ich habe Pommes in einer Käsesuppe bekommen…. Das Frühstück war auch eher frech, ein Toast pro Person und eine Schüssel mit Früchten ( die Schüssel war riesig und es waren nur am Boden der Schüssel ein paar Fruchtstücke drinnen.) Keine Auswahl zwischen Kaffee und Tee und der Orangensaft, ich weiß nicht was es war aber kein Orangensaft…

Manageable for a short stay

The locations is good, the staff is very friendly and helpful but quite slow to process the check in, the breakfast is included, the room was ample and comfortable, it has good quality amenities and the bed is great. In general is a great deal for a short stay and they offer late check out for a reasonable fee.

The check in is painful and they do not mention about a $100 USD or $2,000 MXN deposit, which is not even the same amount according to January's 2024 exchange rate. They still have not refunded me my deposit, which it seems a bit arbitrary and unusual since in most hotels where they asked for a deposit they refunded it at check out. It feels dodgy that they have not refunded it immediately. I had to asked for an extra towel- the bathroom only had one towel; they send me another one but it was a pool towel. My bedroom was at the first floor next to the pool, is very noisy and constantly you can hear noises from the rooms about ours and from the neighbor's tv.

- The room is 4 stars (aside from the noise) but everything else about the hotel and location are truly awful.

Positive - rooms are nice and clean. Can’t fault the domestic staff they did a great job. - The bar staff (when available) were lovely - It is walking distance from a 7/11 when you realise the general service and food quality is terrible

Not so good - Location on a main road, not close to town so need a cab to go anywhere and can’t trust cabs (crazy prices). 15 mins cab from airport to hotel was usd80. Nuts! - Noise - door to room is paper (as are walls). And the front of the hotel is onto a very busy road 24/7. The noise does not stop. - Also the photos of a nice pool and bar are accurate however misleading. These are areas that do not get sun. The pool and bars are in the shade and on a 26 degree day managed to be really cold. Oh and there will be no dedicated staff at the bar/restaurant when you’re there. - The evening bar team were very nice, though trying to also do a job other than service. The breakfast and daytime team are rude and inattentive. You do feel like you are annoying them by existing. Awful service and experience. - not the hotels issue, but reflective of the location - the two tours I booked refused to pick up at the hotel - as it was too far for them. - i’ve travelled a lot, and having such a bad experience is really unusual. Please don’t make my mistake and book here! (Unless you need a short term airport hotel - and want to pay the airport taxi prices).

Gerne wieder…

Wir haben eine schöne Suite mit eigenem Pool auf dem Dach gebucht. Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr einladend. Alles was man braucht! Auf dem Dach haben wir uns direkt einen Eindruck von dem Pool verschafft. Hier müssen wir leider ein dickes Minus für aussprechen, weil dieser scheinbar schon etwas länger nicht gereinigt wurde und komplett grün war. Dies haben wir umgehend gemeldet und nach 10 min wurde dieser dann vom Personal gereinigt. Leider konnten wir demnach den Pool zum Sonnenuntergang nicht nutzen. Unsere Enttäuschung haben wir an der Reception kundgetan und hier kommt wiederum ein großes Plus. Man hat uns verstanden und einige Entgegenkommen angeboten- wir haben uns für ein Abendessen vor Ort entschieden, da dies für alle Beteiligten der eleganteste Weg war. Demnach ein sehr guter Service und so, wie es sich der Gast in solchen Fällen wünscht. Vielen Dank dafür. Die Lage ist etwas schwierig, das war uns aber klar. Aber zum runterkommen für den Flug nach Hause perfekt. Schöne Terrasse und ein schöner Pool, lädt auch am Abend ein.

Der eigene Pool war leider nicht direkt nutzbar.

Non lo consiglio,so che non è facile trovare proposte a prezzi decenti per una notte veloce,ma ci vuole un po’ di attenz

Stanza grande e vicina all’aereoporto,lo scegli solo se arrivi tardi ed il giorno dopo ti devi spostare.

Stanze con odoraccio di umido,ne ho cambiato 2 prima di trovare la meno peggio.

Clean and peaceful

Well managed and very quiet place to sleep. AC works well without hitting you with cold air. Very comfortable bed.

Not much it’s just quite a bit south of downtown but from a peaceful standpoint that is a good thing!

Alimentos muy caros no van de acuerdo a hotel y zona.. pareciera que estas en zona hotelera.. muy caro .. y el deposito de $2,000 pesos que solicitan es ridiculo y exagerado ni en un hotel 5 estrellas lo solicitan , menos en la forma como lo piden. De mala manera.. se siente un trato abusivo.

Cancun was great. Would not recommend staying at HIVE unless it’s a 24 hour deal.

The amenities were pretty cool.

Everything cost. When they say complementary breakfast it’s really not. The only thing complementary is fruit, coffee, juice and bread. There a fee for everything. Highly so not recommend if your wanting to be near downtown Cancun or the resort/ hotel areas. The food is not that great. You can bring your own meals/drinks but you’ll need pots and pans ( not really a suit)

For the price and design, can't be beat

-Design is great! Seriously beautiful. -Conveniently located. Great if you have a rental car. -Receptionist gave us a free dessert after we told him we just got married, very nice!

-Little too close to the highway. It wasn't bad in the room, but opening the door gave me a fright. It would take some serious money to put up some glass or something to insulate it from the outside noise. -Breakfast is free, so it seems, but it's actually white bread with butter or jam + coffee. They do have breakfast available for purchase

Beautiful Hotel Great For A Short Stay

We loved the private pool, it was definitely worth it! The view from our balcony was amazing and the happy hour drinks were a plus.

We didn’t like the amount of water that came out of the shower and leaked on to the bathroom floor. We also feel the hotel was a little understaffed and at times employees seemed overwhelmed.

Staff are rude We were assigned our rooms to someone else as we came back to the hotel, 2 men were trying to enter our rooms. Staff didn’t care and the manager was horrible. Rooms have mould forming from a leak, manager said the leak happened a year ago and still wasn’t fixed. Disgusting never again

We enjoyed our stay

The suite with 2 beds and private pool was perfect for my friend and I. Large and very spacious, we felt free and not cramped. The private pool was on the duplex style roof top of the bedroom and the views offered were just stunning. There was a kitchenette with stocked fridge full of drinks and snacks. Also room service is available until late at night with a full menu. Breakfast was also nice with a decent variety which you could pay to add onto your continental which comes included. Majority of staff strived to go above and beyond in order to help us, even with the language barrier. Facilities are overall great. The hot tub by the infinity pool was amazing, we lounged there for over an hours. There is a beautiful spa onsite but the therapist was unavailable last minute so we did not get to redeem our complimentary massages. The bar is also really nice with a variety of drinks on offer.

The check in process was the worst I've ever experienced. The lady was extremely slow and had very poor customer relations management skills. There were 3 customer groups with different priorities and she really struggled to balance it all. Luckily, this poor check in experience was not a reflection of the hotel or staff quality as once we had gotten past check in, we saw that everything was close to perfect. Depending on the nature of your trip, you may also not fancy being 30mins away from central location. This hotel is much closer to the aiport (20mins away) and is on a motorway so you will hear sound of vehicles, ambulances, police from early in the morning. Also there is a very for motorists directly into your balcony so not very private.
