Awesome food cooked by Justin and just such a lovely place.

lovely basic selection for breakfast with homemade muesli, local milk and yogurt

Great find on my travels. Great location, very comfortable and homey. Having the pub downstairs for dinner and a drink in the evening was very handy. Would highly recommend if you are travelling that area.

Friendly staff (thank you to the lovely lady at the bar who made me feel so welcome!)
Clean, comfortable (bed was the only thing that wasn't great), great view, food was good, great location.
Thanks so much to the team!

Best pub food I ever tasted, staff were friendly, it was a large older pup style rooms.
Room had no TV but a large TV room was available with a selection of videos.

Nothing
It was so bad we looked at the Mackenzie room handed in our key and left forfeiting our $180
1 Appalling smell throughout the accommodation especially in the bedroom affected my wife's breathing
2 carpets were filthy
3 bath was dirty
4 no refrigerator or television
5 keys to an upgraded room was snatched from my hand by manager

it was a perfect stop off on our travels.. such a great place .
could hear our neighbour using the shower . quite noisy .

Located is on the way to cradle mountain. The pub downstairs is great as they have there own brewery. Basic breakfast, tea coffee was provided.
Bathroom very outdated. Sliding doors didn't closed properly. Bathroom was not clean or not clean properly so we have to inform the owner or manager who have to clean it up herself. I understand, it's an old building and have old world charm but things need to be working and clean. Extraction fan in the bath sounded like a motor boat.

Good location. Loved the brews.
A little sad the rooms.

Nice large room with garden aspect.
No TV or toaster.

Lovely old house -beer, food and bed for the traveller (we arrived after a long hike and were really tired).
The guy that showed us around was just so friendly and helpful.
Very uncomplicated booking and changes could be made easily - thank you!
Breakfast is everything you need but nothing special.
We loved the platypus in the little creek behinf the house!
The food served in the Traphouse below was just delicious!
It was not really clear before that the Traphouse would maybe close early, so when we arrived 7:30 pm we were almost too late for dinner. Luckily, they just stayed open for us then (although the chef made us feel they wanted to close the kitchen..)But the food was amazing!

The only feedback we would say is the rooms weren’t very sound proof

Lovely place to stop off on the way to/from Cradle Mountain. Great Beer and delicious food. Will stay again!
Nothing. One of the best places we stayed in Tassie!

Charming coloniel style accommodation. Big rooms. Loved the breakfast and also commitment to reducing single use plastic waste. The bathroom was a little too compact for my liking but it was functional and clean. Hotel manager went over and above to make sure our stay was comfy.
Friday night can be noisy when patrons hang out outside and chat loudly after closing time.
5.0
beautiful town
comfy cosy room with good heating
delicious food at the restaurant/ brewery
1.5 hour drive to cradle mountain
the walls were paper thin so every car that drove past could be heard as well as the wind making something bang all night
the blinds let in a lot of light so we were up at 5AM but made us be up bright and early to explore cradle mountain!

Very overpriced. I've never been in a hotel which supplies breakfast but asks you to bring your own bread!
4.5
spacious units and excellent breakfast . luxurious bed linen and towels . a really nice stay .

The continental breakfast consisted of a lovely home made muesli and good quality yogurt. However being told to bring your own bread for a continental breakfast was pretty strange. The toaster was supplied, but no bread. Perhaps a choice of another cereal could be added as not everyone likes muesli.
