Lovely week away, great location and comfortable accommodation.
Location was good, a bit of warning about the very narrow streets to get to the property would have been of benefit. Accommodation was exactly what we needed.
The property has some damp issues so does smell when locked up for even a few hours but clears once windows are opened up, perhaps something to tackle if possible. Much more could be made of the outside space too and fixing the deck railing.

Lovely! A quaint proper cornish cottage that was clean, spacious and well-equipped.
1) Lovely 3 bed, 2 bathroom cottage. More spacious than it looks from outside, like a tardis. Front door is on upper (bedrooms) level. Clean and fresh inside, exactly as pictures. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of mugs/glasses/crockery and basics like tea/coffee, salt/pepper, wash-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels etc. Beds exceptionally comfy and linen/towels soft. Plenty of heaters if chilly and wood burner. One bathroom upstairs (shower cubicle) and one downstairs (shower cubicle and proper bath - very welcome after lots of walking). 2) On a steep valley, so views across valley over rooftops of other cottages. Could see harbour in the distance. Nesting seagulls on the rooves (late May) so watched 3 speckled chicks. Small two-tiered garden with decking with large table and 7 chairs (ie table bigger than photo). 3) Very close (few mins walk) to village centre and harbour, and corner shop. Mevegissey lovely double-harbour village, local boat rides available from harbour; had nice meals in the Ship Inn and Sharks Fin, and plenty of take-away options available. 4) Easy access to Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan, plus we enjoyed visits to Charlestown (tall ships), Fowey (posh estuary town), Talland Bay (beautiful pink rock geology) and Gorran Haven (soft sand beach and clear water). A great base for varied days out.
1) The fan-oven (rear heater) did not work (hob, microwave, and grill ok). Tried the manual instructions, set the clock, googled instructions too, but still could not get the oven to heat up at all, other than on the fan-grill (top heater) setting which was not hot enough to oven-bake our dinner. I'm sure the owners will repair this urgently (as at 01/06/24). 2) Private parking space to the left of front door is only suitable for a small car (but we were pre-warned, so was fine for our Skoda Fabia) but there is also a town centre car park available nearby (free overnight, and can view it from the cottage). The cornish villages are so steep and the roads so bendy (often single car width), we wouldn't have wanted to drive a big car around anyway. 3) Cottage is on a steep hill (we were pre-warned, and its part of the cornish village charm). There's a steep stair route from the village but thankfully there is a strong handrail (safer than walking on the single width road) and my nearly 80-year-old mum still managed it ok.

Great location, great place, just slightly off the mark... a little bit... for the price.
Downstairs bathroom is good size and very happy shower options in both. Very good power shower downstairs. Loved board games, dvd, books, and toy cars, as well as Netflix options. Good range of pots and pans and cooking utensils. Ample clothes storage. Lovely thick towels, soft cosy beds with plenty of pillows. Views were great, lovely shops, stones throw from harbour and bakeries, artisan shops, restaurants and café, very good location. Fantastic, friendly people. Sea gulls had babies... exciting!
Odd smells from kitchen sink, especially under sink cupboard and under the stairs cupboard. Most corners had spiderwebs 🕸 Underfloor heating not working in the 'snug' PG Tips old. Tea bags in the pot were fine. Some bowls and plates were chipped. Toaster was well used. Wished we had carpets in bedrooms, but rugs were sufficient. We ran out of Loo paper, but we did bring some with us. Kids need more. Seagull nest meant we couldn't open windows, very protective of their young and kids were scared of their noises, especially at night. Really narrow roads just got through tight right turn up hill to cottage, maybe 7 seater not access that way, suggest and make clear other route should be used for larger vehicles and provided route for smaller cars.

Perfect cottage & welcome
Perfect cottage & location. Only 5 minutes walk for restaurants, shops & harbour. A lovely little tardis. Garden & parking were excellent considering location.

Perfect, fab cottage, lovely area
Very comfortable cottage. Loved the deck and upside living, no lugging bags up and down stairs. We were rhee during the 5/6 week period of the seagull chick's being fed and watched over by their parents. Fascinating (could be noisy but we loved watching them grow in the week we were there). Mevagissey is a quaint and friendly Cornish harbour town.
Not a complaint but if you struggle with mobility be prepared to drive everywhere. Mevagissey is hilly with lots of steps up and down to the harbour, Rose Cottage us halfway up a steep hill. Take some muscle relief for your calf muscles!! We enjoyed the daily workout!
