Great stay right in the heart of Plaka

Location is amazing! Right in the heart of Plaka, restaurants and cafes all very close and easy to walk around Roof terrace and yard were great, ensured we had a bit of tranquillity in the hustle and bustle of the location Property is extremely pretty, comfortable and well equipped Overall, our week in this property was amazing and we would highly recommend

The down side of the great location is these is a buzz throughout the evening from the local establishments. Wasn't a problem to us but is a watch out if you want an early night! Only one aircon unit for the whole apartment, it wasn't too hot when we were there but not sure it would be the best in the middle of summer. Both very minor for us but things to consider

We thoroughly enjoyed the painters house an the history of it was a great touch. Thank you we will be back.

This property was close to everything in the beautiful old town Plaka. The staff helped us by booking a taxi from the airport to our accommodation. Answered all our questions and let us know all of the close shops for groceries and leisure. I highly recommend this accommodation for everyone.

The kettle needs updating and a toaster for breakfast. And a higher shower head.

Perfect hideout for exploring Athens

Decent apartment on the best location possible in the heart of Plaka. Everything is within walking distance. A perfect hideout for groups that want to explore Athens.

As it is located literally next to a bunch of crowded restaurants it can sometimes be a bit noisy. So if you're a light sleeper earplugs are recommended.

The 50's are back ... in a bad way.

The location is in the center of town, and the tv had Netflix.

The oven was broken and there's no microwave, so we had to cook on a hotplate. We tried contacting the owner, who was "very sorry".The kitchen is tiny. The shower is tiny and there is no stand to put the washer and no handle to hold when you get out. The bed was uncomfortable and sqeeky so every time you turn over you wake your partner. We also had cockroaches. The room was not clean, some of the cabinets had dirty sheets inside.. I don't understand how this place got a good rating, we feel like we were fooled.

Had a great time. Looking forward to trying another room when we return.

Love the terrace and the having a washing machine. Comfy and a great location with an enclosed courtyard. Our host was great; very helpful and informative. Felt like i could live there.

The restaurant facing the bedroom was noisy until around 11pm. The air conditioning did not cool the bedroom as well as the rest of the apartment.

Lovely quiet apartment, easy walk to all sights

Execllent location. We could walk to all the sights. It was especially great, since we could return to the apartment to take a break from the mid-day heat. It was lovely being half a block away from the center of everything, but also having an oasis of calm to ourselves. The host was very friendly and accommodating of our travel needs. I would highly recommend this place.

This is a charming apartment close to restaurants, metro, and the acropolis.

Amazing location, charming apartment, lovely courtyard and roof terrace with fantastic views of Athens and the acropolis. Excellent communication from the owner and we appreciated the recommendations for supermarket and bakery close by.

Small kitchen but as described and perfectly adequate for our needs. We ate out so didn’t need to use it to cook a meal.

The property was perfectly situated close to restaurants, and within a 10 iminute walk to the Acropolis or Monesteraki square.

The rooms were very spacious but the air conditioner was by the front door so we had to let it run for quite a while to reach the bedrooms. Nothing major

We had.a wonderful stay at the Painters House in a very convenient location in Plaka. This was our second stay and would come back again.

Fine for a few days

Location very convenient for main sites and metro. Balcony and courtyard very relaxing. Old furniture and paintings gave the rooms a proper character.

Noise from restaurants made sleep difficult for my son but may be better if you have a garden facing bedroom (appreciate this is a trade off for central location and would be fine for people without younger kids). We did not get sent details of key collection before arrival and there was a delay in getting hold of host to sort out, which was not a great start, but these things happen.

Fabulous stay and priceless location

We were 2 families and rented 2 apartments. Both were great with everything we needed. It’s was so hot in Athens so we loved the air condition and washing machine. The best part was the location and view. You are in the middle of Plaka. You do not need a car if you stay here. Everything is in walking distance. Our teens were able to venture off by themselves and experience this great area. It’s safe, so lively and fun. The view from the little balcony in the executive apartment was stunning. Clear view of the acropolis and at night it’s just unbelievable to see all the lights and this amazing historic landmark right in front of you.

Quirky, quaint single room apartment in lovely part of the Plaka.

A lovely location in a very cute part of the Plaka - away from the madding crowds, yet still in the bustle. Quirky and cute apartment in a charming old house that has been divided into apartments. Wonderful host and managers - very warm, helpful and hospitable. Nice and cool inside too.

Quite noisy at night due to it’s location very near a number of restaurants, despite double glazing.

We loved Plaka and this apartment and can’t wait to return one day!

The location was amazing! We walked to absolutely everything we wanted to see in Athens. The hosts kindly let us store our bags both before and long after check-in and check-out, which was a huge perk. We enjoyed complimentary coffee, and the kitchen was well stocked with all needed dishes/utensils/etc. The place was quiet and private despite being in a lively neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Painter’s House provided an outstanding base for our exploration of Athens. Would 100% return.

We had three apartments and they were wonderful. Right in the Plaka. Close to everything. On the edge so quiet at night. The courtyard felt private and secure and was a lovely place to sit.

A beautiful property in an amazing location in the heart of Plaka. You can easily walk to everything: market, archeological sites, Anofiotika. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Again great location, cozy,, easy and professional communication and again location, location, location. Very classy, with an enclosed courtyard to have a drink or coffee.

An old family house with a courtyard in the middle of the great Plaka area. An oasis from which you can explore Athens on foot. The fragrance of the jasmin tree upon entering the courtyard is so lovely.

Painter's House is conveniently located in the heart of Plaka, just few steps from Acropolis and many great restaurants around. 10 minutes walk to Monastiraki metro station and Agora. The House has a private courtyard with orange trees where we had a glass of wine in the evening. Great place to stay in Athens!

Some annoying beeping at night outside. Someone's alarm or something. Not the owner of the apartments fault. It's outside the building.
