Cute! warm! cosy
Just outside kitchen for cleaning
But cramped in the pull down sofa bed area

Very clean with some interesting and quirky features. Very quiet and secluded.
We struggled with the lack of space - no lounge or kitchen. No terrestrial TV was available as was any control over heating.

An amazing place to stay

Very comfortable and peaceful, everything provided for a quiet getaway, love the outside area, it must be wonderful in the summer

great location walking distance to town and beach - lovely welcome bottle of wine!
Although the facilities were lovely it did feel like we were staying in the house with the owner as the room was partitioned off from the rest of the house and it didn’t feel very private
4.5
Quirky venue close to town and beach with easy parking available. Extremely helpful owners who provided a foam mattress for comfort when I said we would be using the sofa bed. Also enabled early check in on request. . Would definitely return.
Sink for washing up in the outside,, covered area may not be as much fun in poor weather

Clean and comfortable. Loved the outdoor space. Everything for a pleasant stay was there. Local buses excellent. Host responded quickly to our query.
Bit far to town/ beach if elderly or not good at walking but regular buses.

It was quiet and clean. Nice touch of a bottle of wine left by the owners (I think), but a welcoming card/note would have added to a more human and personal touch.
Bed was a little on the small size. The television was a pain to use with no terrestrial channels. Food left for breakfast was okay but minimal with no option for a cooked breakfast,(porridge doesn't count). Overall for the price not value for money and in my opinion is solely trading on the aspect of location in Whitstable.

Wonderful and welcoming cottage in a very secluded and peaceful area, very well laid out and cozy, super comfortable with a very sweet courtyard, very atmospheric.

Breakfasts good. Bottle of wine was much appreciated. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Outside area very nice but unable to use in November.
No opening windows. Duvet was a bit heavy so over warm at night.
A bigger folding table to sit and eat at and a second chair would be very useful.

Very cosy surroundings clean and quiet
1) it is fair bit further away from beach. With my little one took 25min to walk back
2) kettle was a bit dirty.
3) Sofa bed was really not comfortable.( but understand it is not a big place

The perfect peaceful retreat a short and very scenic walk from the beach. The property had everything we required including a good selection of breakfast items and a bottle of wine to welcome us, it was well equipped and very clean.
Nothing, everything was exceptional

Lovely little annexe, very clean and a comfortable bed. As a solo 77 year old traveller, it was reassuring to have the owners nearby, though it was also quite private.
It was my own fault for not reading the information carefully, but kitchen facitilies were somewhat limited and I prefer to make my own veggie food. Ready meals are not for me !
TV was a bit awkward, as it is only possible to watch on catch up apps.

We are just on the train home from a brilliant couple of days' stay at the Yellow Door. The room was comfortable and full of lovely details (like bread, coffee, milk, tea and orange juice - as well as a gorgeous bottle of wine) and was the perfect base camp for exploring town, with the highstreet only 10 mins away. The little outside courtyard was also gorgeous.
We loved our stay so much we have already booked our next trip for July (to experience it in the sunshine). Can't wait!

Comfortable bed with mattress topper. Proper coffee. Milk and orange juice. Good lighting.
Flashing lights from smoke alarms bothered me at night. Bathroom door difficult to shut from inside.

A lovely cosy self contained annexe. We loved the private outside space which was perfect for eating breakfast (even in November). lovely breakfast & wine touches too. Many thanks to host Sarah for the local information & ensuring our stay was as good as it was.

Everything was wonderful about the place. The small touches of fresh bread and even a bootle of wine ( not plonk !! ) was a very nice welcome. The small outdoor space was perfect and everything was so clean and everything worked. We didn't feel we were being looked at at all and really enjoyed the books and our stay.
The small kitchen area was so nice as it had all you needed, to sum up I'd say the owners of this property had a real sense of style and class about them as everything from the furnishing, the quality of the duvet ( I want one ) , the crockery and cutlery, and the books was classy......it made things special !
The only thing I can say is that the sofa bed was very hard and lumpy. I had to sleep there as my snoring irritates my wife no end. This no way distracts from the overall stay but I did have sore ribs in the morning !!

It was quirky and comfortable. very clean and quiet. the bed and pillows were very comfortable
could have done with a little fold out table inside to eat breakfast as it was wet & chilly outside

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Our host kindly provided all we needed for breakfast and was on hand and helpful.
The small enclosed courtyard was very useful as we had our little dog with us.
There was useful information about restaurants and places to visit.
A very pleasant ambience with interesting books, prints and plants.
