About this cabin rental
Built only in 2019, this timber lodge has romantic country getaway written all over it. There are lots of cute touches in the design, like the vintage suitcase repurposed as a coffee table and the gold birds on the wall, but what's perhaps most impressive is the sheer amount of space at your disposal. The long kitchen has plenty of surface space for rustling up a hearty supper, while the shower cabin is easily big enough for two. Out the front door, there are plenty of spaces to sit outside during mild spring mornings, including an enclosed private garden. It's possible to see The Ridgeway National Trail — thought to be Britain's oldest road — from the grounds and you can follow this historic route through the region's chalk hills. Waddesdon Manor and the city of Oxford both take around thirty-five minutes to reach in the car, too.
Home truths:
*In the summer months, guests also get access to the host's 1950s English Eccles caravan parked on the grounds
*There's space to park on the premises
*There's another holiday lodge on the same site, although it's a B&B rather than self-catering
*The home is spread across one level, although there's a short flight of steps to take in order to reach the front door
