This is a nice place to stay and I would definitely stay here again.

The location was great, 15-20 minute walk to town and beach. The ceiling fans made the room and porch very comfortable. Taking a dip in the pool was a pleasure.

Loved the location, the ability to watch birds from the patio or pool. Rooms were clean and welcoming.

Beautiful setting, lovely pool and surroundings.

Clean, spacious, comfortable. Fridge and tea making facilities in the room. Lovely swimming pool. Super helpful owner, great communication, nothing too much trouble. Happy for guest visitors to use the pool. Close to Main Street and beaches.

Residents living either side a little noisy, speaking on the phones a lot.

Amazing place!

The cabin was amazing with everything we needed and super comfy bed! There was outdoor kitchen too, free parking, hammocks, a pool (we did not use it as we spent all day in the ocean). Staff super responsive and friendly. Cannot recommend enough. Location on the map looks more remote but if you have a car you are at the beach/in town in 3 minutes.

Wifi was really slow, but we did not need to work, so did not bother us.

Exceeded our expectations!

We loved the location. It’s close to the beach yet far enough from any noise. The sunset view was amazing from the pool. The rooms were emaculate. We had no issues with plumbing and hot water. The shared kitchen area was easily accessible and available. The host was friendly and welcoming. The bonus was the river across from the location which was also easily accessible by foot or car. We went to the beach, the river and the pool all in one day. We met some great people who were also guests. We love that it was a family run business.

Génial !

Nous avons été très bien accueillies par le propriétaire qui était au petit soin. Serviettes, gel douche, shampooing fournis, possibilité de faire laver et sécher son linge avec un service très rapide. Le lieux est très agréable, propre, confortable, bien équipé. Nous y serions bien restées plus longtemps !

Le seul petit bémol est le léger manque d’équipements dans la cuisine.

Muy relajante

Muy rústico un balcón precioso, la tranquilidad del lugar cerca del río que es muy bello. Te da la sensación de estar en medio de la montaña, aunque en realidad esta super cerca de la playa.

El aire acondicionado muy viejo y hace mucho ruido, pero en general bien los ventiladores de techo geniales y se puede dormir bien sin aire.

We only spent one night here to break up our drive, but would definitely come back for longer.

Very comfortable and clean bungalow with well-equipped kitchen. Good air conditioning and fan. Nice outdoor sitting area, lots of birds.

self sustained bliss

the location is close enough to walk into town but far enough to have some peace and quiet when it gets rowdy in town. overly complete kitchen facilities and unobstructed, self serving peace.

the pool needs a circulation system since right now they're blitzing it every other day. the beds could use an upgrade.

Great pool, awesome outdoor kitchen and spotlessly clean comfortable and well designed

Laying in the pool and seeing the evening stars come out was a great way to refresh after long adventurous days. The grill and outdoor kitchen was even better. Spotlessly clean and quite frankly a bargain, I was very happy with my stay.

There’s road traffic starting pretty early, if you have a cabana right on the road it may or may not be perfect for you. 6 am wake up call anyone? For me it was fine

It was absolutely blissful

I loved the overall vibe!! It was quiet and chill, and the pool at sunset was amazing. The beds were super comfortable, the room was spacious, and we had our own kitchen which was very convenient. We loved every second we were there!

Charming stay in the jungle by the river

We like the location which was up the river a little bit away from town but an easy walk. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was very comfortable. We had the handicap access bathroom, which was a little awkward. We enjoyed the pool. The staff is very helpful.

The Bamboo River House is a fantastic retreat.

Close to the river, close to the ocean & town of Dominical but far enough for peace and quiet. I saw and heard many different birds, my favorite was a Toucan. The staff had a lot of good suggestions for sights to see and restaurants to visit.

That it was booked, so we were only able to stay two nights in our cute bungalow.

Birds, flowers, tropical respite at our casita near the Baru River.

We liked that it felt safe and staff were warm and friendly and always available to answer questions or help out. We also like the screened in casita we stayed in near the pool. It was delightful and we had everything we needed. Lots of birds and flowers around the property. A toucan would come right above the pool and call and a big iguana lived in a tree we could see. It is also only a 15 min walk along the river to Dominical. Not having a car, this was very convenient. There was also a road we could walk above the property for a view and to go bird watching.

Nothing, really. Everyone was friendly and helpful and it was a lovely stay. The only thing was sometimes we could hear barking dogs or vehicles going by, but that was the only down side.

Really recommended but only if staying in new rooms!

Outside pool, location and garden were great. The owner was responsive and friendly. We wish we could give a higher rate but our room was really disappointing.

We stayed in a room in an old building, lower floor. the room was stuffy, the bathroom smelled really bad and had no window. The room was not really clean, there was no airflow, the window air condition was very loud, there was fan only over one bed, and no light next to the second bed. Overall this room need renovation as the owner explained to us after requiring. Not all rooms have the same appliances, so we had to ask our neighbors for things we wanted like blender or toaster.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas ausserhalb, jedoch super für einen Dpaziergang ins Dorf entlang des Flusses!

Pool, der Bungalow war hübsch, Vermieterin sehr zuvorkommend :) Neu wurde eine Outdoor Küche installiert.

Séjour agréable, la terrasse fait toute la différence

La piscine, la terrasse, la grandeur du logement. Son emplacement du centre, proche, mais loin du bruit routier. L’eau chaud de la douche.

Un peu vétuste, aurait besoin de rafraîchissement. La vaisselle était plutôt mal lavée, une attention à ce sujet serait apprécié. Le robinet de la cuisine a besoin d’un aérateur pour éviter que l’eau nous éclabousse à chaque utilisation. Le pommeau de douche aurait besoin d’être nettoyer (calcaire) pour améliorer la puissance du jet. Après, on ne meure pas de ça, très beau séjour.

Rustic relaxing bungalow

This place is the epitome of chill. Lots of cozy touches. Comfy beds..beautiful, huge upstairs porch with a hammock to plop down in and watch the sunrise. A nice pool. Two minutes from town and the coast. About a 45 minute drive to Nauyaca Waterfall Park. We also went for breakfast at Villa Altura and dinner at Mariscos Amancio, which had amazing cocktails and seafood.

The water pressure in the shower was a little low.

This place is basically still a construction site - you wouldn't want to stay there at weekdays / daytime. Communication with staff / owners only via email / booking - we didn't even know where / who they are!

wonderful place to stay in Dominical

The balcony is a dream. The bed is also great. The pool a perfect refreshment after a hot day. By car you are in a few minutes at a lot nice places to eat.

The shower gives electro shocks(when touching) and is missing pressure.

Super cute rustic little place, close to town but far enough to get away and have peace.

Great place. Rustic but full facility. We had a large comfy room with AC and a separate kitchen/patio area that overlooked the pool. The owner was away but his mother was there and was very accommodating and friendly as well as helpful. We didn't spend too much time at the place but slept really well in the giant, comfortable bed and enjoyed the pool. The shower was great, there was an abundance of towels, and the water pressure was just fine.

Not their fault but be aware the road there is unpaved and very bumpy for about 1 mile. There was a dog in the neighborhood barking well into the night.

Exceptional

This place was fantastic. Off the beaten path, hidden in a grotto across the road from a river. . I settled here after a day on a motorcycle. It was so pleasant to wallow in the pool. I loved the screened in veranda kitchen. Put myself off schedule the next day because I was so happy lounging with my coffee. Excellent place!
