Poor room condition. You have to hold the shower to take showers, water temperature keep changing while taking showers. No coffee machine in the room, no safer either. Good location though. No wonder no one else stays there other than our two rooms

The property is conveniently located with a restaurant on site. The room was clean and spacious and the restaurant has a good menu and the food is excellent.

The host I.was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had an excellent experience.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was welcoming and good music vibes all day.
Room was super basic and I think our toilet or shower had a leak. We checked but all we could find is the water on the floor.

The place is a bit run-down. Parking was off-street on dusty road with no security. There is an on-site parking lot but it is extremely small and fits about 4 cars but there were 6 crammed in upon our arrival. Hotel room is very bare bones, no hot water while we were there. If we had to stay more than the one night I'd look elsewhere but ok for the 1 given the price.

Really great choice in Uvita. This was a huge unit with 2 bedrooms with Queen beds and a futon in the living area. Nice pool area that we didn't have time to use. Walking distance to Uvita Beach - which is a great beach! We arrived early for check-in and since our unit was ready, we were allowed to check-in early which is always really helpful. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Also had air conditioning, which helped to dry out some of our clothes, which were damp from our time in Bahia Drake.

I arrived late, not realizing the hotel had a 10 PM deadline to check-in. When I arrived, the hotel manager was incredibly ride to me and told me that I had no reservation, which I did have. He tried to charge me for the stay, but he credit card machine was down. He showed me to a room anyways after I contested that it wasn't my fault the credit card machine was down. He eventually showed me to a room and then immediately disappeared. I quickly noticed that our ground floor room window was broken and did not lock. I was unable to sleep all evening because it was not secure. When I complained in the morning about the broken window, he insisted I broke the window and that I had to pay for my room then and how he was lucky he wasn't charging me for the window that I broke! I can not tell you how rude this man was. I want to request a refund for my stay.

The place was ok. The room smelled heavily of bug spray and our sheets were stained and possibly dirty. There isn’t enough parking space so we had to move our car so other people could get out. This was a pit stop for us which was ok I wouldn’t stay more than one night.

Property was as stated. Pablo the manager was very helpful and pleasant to work with.

Kind of below average / standard. Shower had no hot water (fair to say - we didn’t mention it, maybe could have been fixed), room was really tiny. Guy showing us the room told us (as a customer) how to fix the toilet if it were to break during our visit. Too little parking spots / had to block other vehicles. Place could also use an update. But on a positive note, the bar/ restaurant was very nice.

I was very happy of my stay at Tropical beach. The manager Mauricio was helpful and very friendly. He made you feel like you were family. I stayed in a standard room and the cleanliness was top notch. the room was air conditioned which was nice as it is very hot in Costa Rica. The pool was refreshing and well maintained. The hotel was close to the beach. There is a restaurant on site and the owner Kevin is helpful and very friendly as well. I would highly recommend Tropical beach for lodging while in Uvita. Thank you to the owner Kuba for a wonderful vacation at Tropical beach. Keep up the good work!! 😀💕🇨🇦

Pros: 1. Clean comfortable room 2. Pool, cosy atmosphere 3. hotel restaurant for meals, also other restaurants nearby 4. Helpful friendly staff and services 5. Walking distance to beach 6. Short taxi ride from bus station. Cons: Sometimes noisy neighbor played very loud music until early morning (2am), but hotel has no control

Our stay was enjoyable! Pool was great for kids with a close walk to the national park and beach!

A cute little oasis. Thoughtfully designed, helpful staff, everything worked (A/C, hot shower). One of the best hotels at this low price point I stayed in in CR.

Given room no1. Which stank like a dirty public toilet in desperate need of cleaning.
Bed sheets were very old and smelt musty. Kitchen drawers didn’t stay closed and the fridge had a wobble. No wardrobe. Curtains see through. Due to arriving late at the property we only stayed their 1 night before leaving for another hotel. Don’t waste your money and stay here.

The property is a walk away from national park/beach in a cute little community the host was nice. We had a good time. Parking is gated and secure. We came off season and great price.

We arrived late and the property manager made sure that we we knew where to go and how to get in our room when we arrived. We had a long trip and were grateful for the hospitality

If only the restaurant was available for lunch and dinner! Though that forced me to go walking in the rain lol

Really great little hotel! Room was exceptionally clean, felt really safe, and the property manager was so kind and helpful! The location is very close to the beach and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. Bike rental right down the road too. Pool was always pristine. Would 100% recommend.

Our stay at Tropical Beach was enjoyable. It’s a beautiful little hotel, has the boutique feeling without the price tag. The manager(s) were accommodating and check-in/out was easy. We arrived at 10:00am and they checked us into our room without any issues, it was appreciated. The hotel is a five minute walk to the national park/beach and a short bike ride or drive to town. I’ve travelled quite a bit and this ranks at the top of the list for value, couldn’t recommend it enough.

We loved Tropical Beach. We would have rated 5/5 on all areas, however due to Covid the restaurant was closed for lunch and supper, as many places throughout. We highly recommend This property and the outstanding staff. Looking forward to our next visit, Thank you Maurisico

Mauricio & his staff were friendly & efficient. Our 2 bedroom cabina gave us the privacy we needed plus hot water showers were unexpected & wonderful. All nestled within nature! We were awakened by howler monkeys & macaws!!

The hotel is small, pleasant, and in a great location from the beach (walking distance). It seems to be brand new, as everything was spotless. It is simple, but you have all you need, hot shower, TV, A/C, comfortable bed. The staff is helpful and pleasant, ready to accommodate at any time for anything. You can order breakfast the evening before if needed. If in Uvita again, this is the place I would stay

Comfortable room with AC close to the beach.

The cabins are spacious but furniture is not comfortable. It would be nice to have a table instead of coffee table and mini sofa that doesn't stay up. Close to the beach but the beach is not officially free to access. Luckily, there is a flooded service road nearby that can be used for "free" access.

Me encanto este hotel, está Super cerca del parque marino ballena. El gerente se portó super amable con nosotras. En mi experiencia me volvería a a quedar aquí por su precio, confort y accesibilidad al parque Marino Ballena.

Parking space was tiny and crammed full with cars of locals who left by 11pm. They were using the pool and bar distracting the hotel guests desperately trying to sleep. Restaurant was closed providing only alcohol and basic overpriced breakfast.Room itself was the size of the closet barely fitting the bed and TV stand, without power outlets or place for suitcases. Hotel roof is covered with some kind of semi-transparent plastic resulting in extreme temperatures during the day on the upper floor. Extremely loud fan and AC were barely helpful and I've seen few guests sleeping with open doors and windows to survive the heat.No shampoo/bathing gel provided, old bluish sheets due to some kind of laundry chemicals. The only plus of the hotel is close proximity to the national park, however nearest entrance opens only at 9:30am.Won't recommend this hotel to anyone - pictures are much nicer than the venue itself.

The best part about this place is the pool! The room is also nice. The parking situation is horrible. You had to squeeze in and one day my husband was woken up early to move the car. The breakfast was good but an extra charge. I didn't like the area, it felt unsafe. It was surrounded by hostels and I walked the 7 min walk to the beach and could smell someone smoking pot somewhere, pura vida I guess, right? Overally descent price, bad area, nice place horrible parking, loved the pool! Would stay in different area next time.
