The Space

The cooks in the group will love the granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. An open floor plan means everyone can join in the fun. The dining table is strategically placed by the windows, so you'll enjoy the scenery, even at mealtimes. There is a beautiful living area with gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico. Being able to walk to the beach in just a few steps was awesome. No lines waiting for an elevator like you do at a condo. Rooms were bright and airy. Common area was large enough for our group. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Two months on the Gulf at Sunflower is a great winter getaway which we plan to repeat for the next several years. The house is perfect for our gang and the management team is very accommodating with quick response to our needs and questions. I would recommend any properties managed by Coastal View. The Sunflower was the ideal spot for our group of friends to vacation. We were amazed by the beautiful view and the location on the beach. The decks with comfortable rocking chairs were used daily as we watched the day start or end. The kitchen was well designed and equipped for a large group. We especially appreciated having a bathroom for each bedroom. Hope to visit again!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were most disappointed in our stay at Sunflower. The rental price is very overpriced for this property. We have rented dozens of homes that were larger and more luxurious than this one. Some of the bedroom furniture was beaten up and the mattress in one bedroom squeaked so bad that you could hardly get any sleep. Parts of the house hadn’t been cleaned in quite awhile and there was a stoped up drain in a bathroom as well as a loose bunk bed. We waited till MONDAY to report anything because it was a holiday weekend. When we reported problems on Monday morning we had to text back on Tuesday night because we hadn’t heard from anyone. Nothing was ever done. Not the fault of the rental agency but the location of the house was right by a public beach access and before you could think about going to the beach there was several tents and guests from the large rental units across the street. I have never given a bad review before but I would not recommend this property.

Accurately represented. Right on beach with great deck views. Any property issues were dealt with quickly. Definitely pet friendly but would caution dog owners that dogs are not allowed on beach. My bad not realizing that in advance but would be helpful to include in property description.

Loved being right on the beach. Wish there was an extra TP roll, and Kleenex. Maybe an extra kitchen towel. Having 5 bathrooms was a nice feature. Enough room for 14 of us. Had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed our stay with our kids and their grandparents. The house was generally as expected. I would suggest if you are wanting beach space that you choose a week other than spring break as the beach in this area that week is very full. The view is breath taking. The master suite upstairs faces the ocean and being able to open the door to just sit in the sound/ breeze of the ocean is quite beautiful.

The trip was great. The group before us was very messy so the cleaning crew was scrambling as best they could to clean the house. Overall the house was great. Outside of house has visual wear and tear and one window was missing, but inside was renovated and pretty clean.

This was our seventh winter in Gulf Shores and we could not have found a better management company than Coastalview! DeLayne and Jen responded immediately to the few minor issues we had. The house size is fantastic, was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. Many don’t realize the difference between renting for two winter months versus one summer week! Coastalview does! We will most likely be making Sunflower a permanent winter retreat home.

Step outside and dip your toes in the ocean. What more can you ask for? We all enjoyed our stay! Spacious home with unbeatable beachfront. Parking was good and local stores helped keep the kitchen stocked and running while we were there. Saw dolphins from the balcony! The home had a few minor areas where upkeep will be due, but they didn't impact our stay. Everyone enjoyed it and I will keep this in mind for a repeat trip! Thanks.

Loved the decks, the views, the beach Wishing for improvement: -throws and blankets -beach chairs -kitchen supplies (foil, baggies) -spices (salt, pepper, cinnamon, sugar, etc.) -maps, lists of restaurants, area attractions, -books, magazines, cards, games -better quality of toilet paper We would gladly return, now knowing what we need to bring or purchase. The house was very nice and an excellent place to stay right on the beach. One thing to be aware of that’s not really mentioned is that this rental only has a charcoal grill for outside cooking, which can be difficult to cook for large groups. Other than that, I highly recommend and would stay here again in the future.

We were very impressed with the location and acccodarions 5 BDRs each with their own Bathroom!!! BUT, the cleanliness of the place was very disappointing and there were maintenance issues even from previous renters that needed addressed. Make sure you claim your spot on the beach in front before the fishermen get there and setup. Will be back if they hire a different cleaning crew

This house is situated within steps to the beach! I believe this is the closest we've ever been to the water too. Location is definitely a plus! Although, when we arrived, I did notice the house was not fully cleaned. In one of the bedrooms, we saw confetti and a deodorant cap under the bed and the floors were very dirty. The quality of furniture (couch has seen better days) could definitely be updated. Would recommend a few side tables for drinks on the porch as well. I think with more attention to detail, this would be a great property.

Our family of 14 had a wonderful stay at Sunflower. The layout was ideal for our group ranging from babies to grandparents. The adults enjoyed the king beds in every room and the kids loved the bunk room. The house was clean and kitchen well stocked for us to cook all meals there. In all of our years visiting the beach, we have never experienced such a close walk from the house to the ocean. It was amazing! We will definitely return.
