The Elk Chalet is a mountain modern home at the top of Sleepy Hollow. Look over the Blue Ridge Mountains & Pisgah National Park at an elevation of 3,300 ft while enjoying your complimentary snacks at our s'mores bar or relaxing in our 5-person hot tub! Located only 12 minutes from Boone or Sugar Mountain with a 33 minute drive to Beech Mountain! Our guests are welcome to the Mill Ridge community tennis courts, seasonal swimming pool, private clubhouse, playground, and hiking trails!

Loved the lay out of the home . We had plenty of space . Community pool was close . We really enjoyed the lake . Swimming. Play ground and volleyball ball . The hosts were awesome . Helped take care of everything. Will definitely come back .

Great location and spacious home with several amenities. We enjoyed our stay overall. Some minor issues sent to owner after our stay as an fyi, but nothing that ruined the trip per se.

We made a quick trip to the mountains to view the incredible fall color and stayed one night at the Elk chalet. The location of the property is perfect! The chalet is very cozy and spacious. The communication with the host was great. We had everything we needed and would definitely stay again.

My family and I came up for a quick visit and this house was perfect. Everything we needed and wanted it had! We loved lounging in the hot tub, making s’mores, and just relaxing! Thanks for having us!

We enjoyed a quick visit here when taking our kids skiing for a couple of days. The house is spacious, very clean and has fun amenities such as the dart board and outdoor fire pit for s’mores (s’mores fixings included!) A couple of the boys got in and enjoyed the hot tub. This house was a quick drive to sugar mountain. It was great for our group and we would stay again!

Such a good time with our family at the Elk Chalet. The house was clean and updated. The beds/sheets were very comfortable. It was roomy enough for 8 adults. The hot tub was ready to go. We all enjoyed our time there and would stay here again. It was a nice walk to the creek below and provided great exercise!

The cabin was large and spacious. The amenities on site were more than plenteous and able to keep a group occupied and having fun. The host was exceptional, quick to respond, and very nice in conversation. Overall, a great group experience!

Our family had a great stay. It was close to Boone and blowing rock but just a very busy weekend mid October. However, the place was perfectly clean, linens smelled amazing, very spacious for our group of 6. The host was extremely responsive and great communication. Things I loved: coffee station (although creamer packs would be good😉), sofas large and cool sitting space on top edge which I’ve never seen, beds slept comfortably, gas heaters on back upper porch, nice bathrooms, spacious kitchen and family area, loft windows bring in a lot of natural light.) Improvements: not sure - none at this time.

11 of my friends and I stayed the night here to prepare for the Blue Ridge Relay. This was an excellent place to chill out with a s'more pit on the top deck and a putting green below. Very close to Banner Elk and Boone. We're all middle aged guys, so some of the bed arrangements were smaller on our middle aged frames than we were used to, but definitely lots of space in the house for all of us to spread out and it was perfect as an adventure base camp. Great find!

What a great place to stay, cant say enough good things about the experience. House was spotless upon arrival, communication with the homeowner was great from start to finish. Many things to do on the property from the putt putt course to morning coffee and evening drinks by the firepit on the deck. Cant wait to go back and visit again

Such a wonderful stay! In the mountains, peaceful! Didn't even have to worry about critters even though in the mountains. Putput right outside the door, smores bar which was exquisite! The property owners were so helpful and quick responsiveness! Definitely will have to come back and stay longer!!

It is an amazing place designed to have a good time with friends or with your family, very cozy and has everything you need to have a good time. The cabin is super comfortable and communication with the owner 100% recommended. We rented the Elk Chalet to have a place to celebrate as a family after our daughter’s graduation from App State. It was the perfect spot. We had a wonderful time. The place is so nice and equipped generously with all that you need. The outdoor spaces were very nice as well. They had a s’mores bar, a coffee bar and a putting green on one of the decks. There was plenty of space and activities to keep everyone entertained. The owners even had a bottle of champagne and card waiting for our daughter. They were super sweet and accommodating. We will definitely be returning.
