About this house rental
Sandy View, the very apt name for this wonderous beachfront property, awaits your arrival. Offering a unique combination of adventure and relaxation, Sandy View sits right on the sands of Pismo State Beach near the Oceano Dunes recreation area. This property has a comfortable, modern feel but don't let the aesthetic fool you... there are hidden treasures far more ancient than you could guess.
This home has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Both bedrooms have flat screen TV's and en-suite baths. The primary bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has two twins. A futon in the living area provides additional sleeping arrangements for two guests. The bedrooms are down the hall between the living room and 1 car parking garage. This hallway was painstakingly hand-crafted to look and feel like sand right off the beach, it even has shells embedded in it! The living area of the great room has a big screen, flat panel TV with digital cable and DVD player. The dining table is situated between the living room and kitchen, near the fireplace, in front of a pair of French doors that look out onto the large deck, beach and ocean. The kitchen is a masterpiece that any chef or cooking hobbyist will enjoy using. All stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. Gas fueled range and oven. Breakfast bar that also looks out over the deck to the beach and ocean. Recycled glass countertops and custom cabinetry complete the space. The laundry closet and half bath are located just off the entry foyer through antique Philippine doors on saloon style hinges with frosted glass inlays. 1 car parking garage. A surfboard, boogie board, and beach chairs for guest use are in the garage.
Guest Access is limited to the first floor, second floor and above are private to the owner who is not present when the property is rented.

Loved the rental, however, there are a couple of things we would recommend for a better experience. The pillows really should be changed. It seems like they are very old and overly used, that was kind of gross. It was kind of the same with the cooking pots and utensils, the non-stick coating was all scraped up on the pots and the utensils were falling apart. Given what we were paying as guests (not family members), the expectation was higher and these essentials should not have been such shabby quality.

This was a fabulous location and a very comfortable house. It was very well supplied, including a first aid cabinet in the bathroom. It was spotlessly clean, and everything was great. My only suggestion would be to have some chairs that we could take to the beach.

we had a great time here, having the beach right outside the deck gate and the sand fire pit were really nice features. We had a problem with the fireplace heater and CVR came right out and attempted to resolve the problem. They provided an alternate heat source when the fireplace heater couldn't be repaired.

Not worth it
Fireplace and heating didnt work. Management continued to give me instructions that didnt work. 2nd bedroom beds crawling with ants couldn't sleep on the beds had to spray ant spray which then created smell which permeated room. Winds built up dunes and couldn't enjoy the ocean view and winds blowing so you couldnt enjoy the deck or firepit. Don't waste your money. Sent messages via app and no response to even discount our stay. Very disappointed.

This was a amazing place for watching the whales and dolphins swimming around for several days. Not to mention all the dune people getting stuck and they put on a parade every night which usually turned out funny. There was only 2 problems the BBQ grill was broken and we bought a new one also the bottom of the BBQ is worn out and leaked hot coals out the bottom, we took it to the sand to use, for safety. Also the bathroom off the twin bedroom needs to have floor in the doorway fixed, it needs a transition strip, I tripped over the tile and broke 2 toes. But we loved the place and had a really good time.

The house was fantastic!. It was clean and well taken care of. We especially enjoyed looking at all the different knick knacks that were all over the house. I so looked forward to my morning walks on the beach and that first step off the deck into the sand was the best way to start the day. And seeing whales passing In the distance made the stay even more amazing. We have really fallen in love with the clam chowder at Fins, which is at the Grover Beach parking lot. It's about a mile walk on the beach from the house, which wasn't a bad walk at all. How can it be bad... You're walking on a beautiful beach. Additionally, the brick fire pit was really nice and we enjoyed the bon fires at night. We will probably come back to this house again. My only complaint..... Wifi was bad. We could get it to hook up to our devices but it took sooooo long for anything to load we ended up using our own personal data sources.

This house is nicely furnished and well supplied. We appreciated little touches such as laundry detergent being available. Vehicles on the beach are not an issue -- the sound of the ocean drowns out the sound of the vehicles -- unless you want to lay on the beach near the waterline. We recommend two restaurants very close by: Old Juan's and Beach Burger. The Point San Luis Lighthouse tour is a pleasant outing.

The gas burner was left on so I had to call the fired depot. The person in the office I had spoken to acted like I turned it on && didn’t care that if we had went to bed this could have ended in fatalities. This happened the night before my wedding. Yes it is a gorgeous home located on the beach BUT I would not ever recommend staying with any of the properties by this company again since I felt they were uncaring with this issue. So I left a review on there Facebook with more details.
