About this apartment rental

The Salty Sea Star is a beautiful like new condo located directly on the ocean. This top floor unit has 16' ceilings, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, newly remodeled bathrooms, luxury carpet and a wall of sliding glass doors for amazing panoramic ocean views. You will be just steps from the beach and after a day of sunbathing finish it off with a dip in the pool or hot tub. Colony by the Sea is a charming complex located in Indian Beach and is very family friendly and has an elevator just steps away from our unit.
The complex also has a viewing deck right above the beach where you can sit on the colorful adirondack chairs with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. There are brightly painted picnic tables under a gazebo with plenty of grills to cook dinner on and a fish cleaning station to fillet up your fresh catch. Centrally located between Emerald Isle and Atlantic beach you will enjoy the variety of options for your sightseeing endeavors. Miniature golf, go carts and bumper boats are within walking distance and the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium is right down the street. There are plenty of restaurants choices for fresh seafood or stop in to one of the seafood markets and pick some up to cook back at home. The charming town of Beaufort is less than a 30 minute drive where you can spend the day exploring downtown and maybe even see one of the wild Shackleford Banks ponies. We stayed here for a week with our two kids and had a great time. The condo was spacious, updated and well stocked. And the walk out to the beach was much easier than other places we’ve stayed on Emerald Isle. All around great experience!

Our family really enjoyed this location. Close to everything and nice place to stay overall. Elevators make trips to the third floor easy. One of the best vacations that we have enjoyed. No one was ready to go home!

We came and stayed Memorial Day weekend. Condo is beautiful and the ocean view was amazing! Every little detail is thought of here- there were soaps, paper towel, garbage bags, and even K cups. Kitchen is well stocked. When we arrived, the entire place was spotless and there was a bottle of wine on the counter. The second bedroom had double size bunks so it would be perfect for a family. The complex is quiet and beach is easily accessible. Will definitely be back!

My 3 young children and I just finished an awesome week long vacation at Sea Star! The condo is even better than advertised. The decor rivals what you would see in magazines or tv shows. The view is amazing. You are truly steps away from a beautiful wide beach, pool, and spacious covered outdoor barbecue/grill area. There are great restaurants and activities for kids and families within 1 mile and the location sits in the middle of the island with Atlantic Beach only minutes to the north and Emerald Isle only minutes to the South. Don’t miss the Aquarium which is maybe 5 minutes away. We were never bothered by any noise all week. The stairs and elevator are just outside the condo, making coming and going a breeze. There are luggage carts right by the elevator. It has everything you need! We will definitely be returning.

Wow Wow Wow! The photos do not do the condo justice; the family room is much more spacious than it appears. The condo is so comfortable with a spacious kitchen which was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. The view from the deck is lovely! It's so easy to get to the beach from the condo and the water is gorgeous and if you aren't feeling the beach that day, the pool is a great option! There are a lot of great restaurants nearby. We had a lovely time and can't wait to go back! Thanks for everything!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful location on Indian Beach for 4 nights. We had planned on staying 3 nights but when we woke up on the last day, I had the bright idea to extend another day. I am so glad we did! The first day we arrived in the middle of March Madness, we enjoyed a cloudy and windy welcome to the beach, and then we arrived at Colony by the Sea. The complex is perfectly situated on the ocean and this particular condo, I feel, is the likely the most impressive of all of the condos here. The furnishings are comfortable, yet beautiful, clean, and also beachy. I continued to notice more of the beautiful beachy artwork during our time in this condo. I was also greeted by a beautiful bottle of Hatteras Red :) The views from the kitchen, living area, and deck are absolutely breathtaking!! The weather was a bit cold to enjoy being on the beach but we braved the cold wind and blowing sand with our 2 kids (6 and 3) and we all had a blast! After we had our fill of the fun at the beach, what a treat to return to this incredible oasis in paradise to relax and continue enjoying the views of the ocean. The deck off of the living area perfectly blocked the wind and allowed me to enjoy sitting in the sun (something I had not done since pre-kids) while the kids enjoyed the pleasure of the swivel chairs while watching cartoons. Our final night there (the one we had not intended) was probably the best night of my life! My husband and I watched the Tar Heels beat the Duke Blue Devils in the Final Four and as we watched from the comfort of the cozy sectional sofa, I swear we fell in love all over again. We will definitely be returning to this condo in the future and I HIGHLY recommended this spot to couples, small families, or even a single person looking for an incredible private getaway. This place is truly one of my favorite places we have stayed. Thank you for an incredible experience!!!
