We are 4 very good friends. We call ourselves “Sistas”. We stayed 5 nights and every night was very enjoyable. The cabin was well equipped, clean and welcoming. The view off the back porch was amazing. We saw elk every night. Norma is indeed a super host. She was vert quick to respond to any question we may have had. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here!

Property is very well kept inside and out. Location was perfect to Lake Junaluska, very short drive. Best part about our stay other than Norma being readily available when we needed her, was the elk and the amazing view of the mountains. The elk were within 10ft. We were lounging on the deck and they walked right up to graze. To see them so close was amazing and terrifying at the same time. We hated to leave and wished we could “Linger Longer” we’re already talking about visiting again. So, until next time!

First off, the location is excellent. It is easy to get to, and easy to find. The area is beautiful and open, with excellent views of the mountains. On our first morning we were greeted by two bull elks as they worked their way past the lodge! The lodge it spacious, clean and nicely organized. Many local reference pamphlets are available, so you're never wondering what you could do. It would be hard to find a nicer place to stay in Maggie Valley!!!

The property was just what we wanted off the main path yet not too far from all we wanted to see and do. the cabin was clean and comfortable a perfect place to come back to after our day trips. coming back in the evenings to the herd of Elk grazing just right off the deck didn't hurt either.

The description of cabin and property was on point. The cabin is gorgeous, location is excellent. By far my favorite location in the mountains. Being surrounded by the mountains was breathtaking. They weren’t kidding about the elk. We barely got unloaded opened the door to go out and grab a bite to eat somewhere. The elk were walking down the road to graze in the empty lots. The next day and night they were everywhere, just breathtaking taking in all of it. Highly recommend will definitely be staying here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The time we spent at the cabin was wonderful. Did absolutely nothing but enjoy the quiet neighborhood. The view was a little obstructed due to construction going on but other than that it was a very enjoyable stay. The house was just as represented in the photos.

The property was pristine and offered everything we needed, especially ample parking for a large trailer, truck, and motorcycles. We will be back!

The house was nice and kept up well. We were disappointed in the location and view. What was posted on vrbo was not accurate. The property photos showed the home in a meadow with a view of the mountains in the distance. We didn't know they were building new homes beside the rental home. The view was blocked along with the construction noise and generators running everyday but one day of our four day trip. If we had been told about the construction ans noise we would not have booked thia property. When I contacted the property owner we were
Told they werent aware of the construction that no other tenants told her about the construction or had complained . My spent over 1500.00 for a four day weekend to relax and enjoy the quiet and serenity of the mountains to help me prepare for an upcoming major surgery being done on September 19th. I was disappointed in the property and our trip it wasnt what I expected listening to a generator run from 8 am until 6pm each evening

Conveniently located, beautiful home with evening visits from an elk family. New homes being constructed and lots of vehicles ride through to see the elk.

We stay in Maggie valley every year during the winter mints for snowboarding. We have always loved this neighborhood and seeing the elk. Unfortunately there is new development going up in the field where the elk used to come graze. Directly behind this house location.
The only issue I had was with the host not willing to accommodate a late checkout. I contacted her ahead of time and asked for a late checkout and willing to pay for an additional few hours. She said we would see about checking after us as our time approached. There was no one checking in after us for several days but she still would not allow a late checkout. Instead she insisted we pay for another night to get the extra time we wanted.
Not sure that we will come back to this exact spot, I think other houses in the same neighborhood are better and not right at the new construction.

Everything about this place was wonderful. My grandkids had a wonderful time and enjoyed watching the gophers, the cows and the elk. They also enjoyed the little stream and fell in it several times probably on purpose. It’s very close and ideal. Place to stay close to the mountains and all of the mountain activities.

Every year we go somewhere in the mountains to bike ride and Maggie Valley didn’t disappoint. The fire mountain trails are beautiful. The cabin was perfect for us 5. Morning coffee on the deck made my day the week we visited. Plenty to do in the area and perfect location for easy access. I had friends rent up in the mountains and they ALL wished they were in the valley like us as the views were beautiful and didn’t put as much stress/travel on their vehicles. Will recommend and can’t wait to come back.
