Very rundown. Soft spots in the floors .. felt like you could fall through. Varnish flaking off the furniture and cabinets. The lining of the hot tub is crackled and rough. The kitchen was not well stocked. Location was hard and the property disappointing

The cabin is very basic, but clean and comfortable. The drive up from the highway is windy and narrow, but worth the effort for the spectacular view.

When we went looking for a rustic cabin in WNC, this gem really stuck out especially because of the stunning views of Maggie Valley and surrounding mountains. Honestly, I think we spent most of the time on the front porch taking it all in. They had a big beautiful picture window in the living room with a super comfy couch and two club chairs, perfect for bringing the outside in. The gas fireplace was so easy to operate, which was perfect because the nights were kind of chilly (even in August!). We enjoyed the cabin so much, one day we didn't even leave. I sure appreciate that they accept pets, as our little Jack Russell Terrier, Abby, LOVED IT! We will definitely stay again in this romantic getaway in the heart of the mountains of WNC.

We had a wonderful stay during the 4th of July week. We never watched fireworks looking down at them. The view was breathtaking. Everything that was thought/or needed was there. Nicely done. We loved it, love the town and the surroundings. You can't go wrong here.

We spent a nice long weekend at the cabin. We were looking for a place with a beautiful view and this was perfect. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch at the end of our day and was great during a rain storm. We would stay here again. My only suggestion would be to bring your own coffee.

We biked, we hiked, we spent hours in the hot tub. It was a perfect getaway. Spectacular views and a quick drive to all the breweries. We had everything we needed to make meals at the cabin and enjoyed relaxing with HGTV and NCAA playoff games in front of the cozy fireplace. Plus, we could bring our pup! We'll be back.

We were visiting for spring break vacation. The cabin was perfect for our family. The cabin is laid out well and had everything that we needed. Comfortable beds. The view was great! We made smores after our day hiking. The kids loved it. The road up to the cabin is part of the adventure and the kids were amazed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is small but was comfortable for what we needed. The views were amazing. Sitting on the couch, sitting at the kitchen table, on the porch or in the hot tub you had an unbelievable view of the mountains. The cabin is located high up in the mountain and was so peaceful. I look forward to my return visit.

Perfect cabin for a small family. Clean and cozy with everything you need to enjoy your time in the mountains. The views are outstanding, the furniture comfortable and area is cute. Only issue was the heater. When it kicks on the makes a horrible band that wakes up everyone in the cabin. So a night's sleep was a little tough because it was cold and the heater kicked on a lot. Other than that, it was a great little cabin located in a great place with amazing views.

We loved our vacation stay here. It’s quite far up the mountain and quiet. It was super cozy and we even got some snow on the 2nd morning!
Hosts provided a PDF with detailed directions and alternative route in the case of inclement weather. Definitely have this saved on your phone. It was so helpful!
All the basic amenities we’d expect. It is an older home but that is part of the charm. Everything worked great and we felt safe and secure. Would love to visit again on our next trip!

My 2 boys, husband, and I had a great time staying here. The view is amazing and it's very close to a lot of different places. We loved nearby Waynesville and Asheville is also a short drive away. The cabin is small and cozy - perfect for the 4 of us. We loved the hot tub and played several of the board games available. I would definitely stay here again!

Disappointed in the cabin. Super outdated. Refrigerator rusted. Bathroom foundation problem. Super small shower in master bathroom. Only took one shower in it. No dishwasher. Furniture in cabin scratch and some peeling. Husband and I thought of leaving after 2 nights in cabin but decided to stay since we paid already. Not what our yearly cabin vacation should be. Worse cabin stay in my 33 years of trip to mountains. Only good thing was the Mountain View’s which kept us there. Very disappointed. Back door screen torn. 😕😕

I take my son to Maggie for a trip every year and we always stay in a different cabin to make it a little different and fun each time. This year I also brought my niece for her first trip to the mountains and apple picking. We had a great time, cabin was perfect and very clean. The hot tub and view were amazing. We have stayed in cabins all over Maggie and this was definitely the easiest to get to and it has room to turn around in the driveway. The hot tub was perfect for the three of us, or if it was a couple, but not big enough for any more people. The porch area with the hot tub was a little tilted to one side which made me a little nervous but it worked great and we didn’t have any issues. We couldn’t get the tv to work but didn’t need it with the amazing view of the mountains, which is what we were there for anyway. The fire place inside works great and we used the outside fire pit to make some s’mores. Half of the grill wouldn’t light but we were still able to use it to make some burgers. It was an amazing cabin and I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend some time in Maggie Valley.

The property was great with amazing views! We had a storm that passed through overnight that left us on the mountain an extra day because of the slick ice
The owner was so understanding and responsive, and kept us updated and was only concerned for our safety, this will be a trip i wont forget!

This is a truly enjoyable vacation cabin. The view from the deck/hot is amazing. The kitchen is well equipped with all of the cookware, dishes and utensils needed. The furniture is all nice and comfortable. The beds are ery comfortable. The cabin was very clean when we checked in. Overall we have to say this is a very nice vacation cabin and we highly recommend it. We hope to be able to stay here again soon.

We love the Smokey Mountains and rented this property for the mountain views and the property did not disappoint. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sun set behind the mountains was incredible. The owners were excellent to work with and I would definitely rent the property again.

The name, Slice of Heaven, says it all! My husband and I recently stayed in this wonderful cabin during our visit to Maggie Valley. The views from the porch are absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and also sitting there in the evening to watch the sunset. The cabin and property were both well kept and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you might need to cook a meal and and the view of the mountains from the dining room table was amazing. The living room furniture was super comfortable and again you had a specatular view from the picture window. If you want a peaceful and relaxing vacation, then I would definitely recommend this beautiful cabin!

Beautiful mountain views! Quiet, private location. During our week stay we only encountered one other vehicle traveling up our mountain road. Activities range between 5-40 minutes away. Gem mining, mini-golf, steam train rides, trout fishing, and hiking. Great small town to bring your family. Prices are VERY reasonable for both activities and dining.

A three day weekend get away that didnt disappoint. We got to wake up to beautiful mountain views, see beautiful sunsets. They even thought of getting a butter dish! So nice when you can travel so very far to be in exactly what is posted.

Great experience. Needs a better address sign for finding the cabin. Shared entry driveway with 1253, very clear. 1257 not so much. 7 minute drive up or down the mountain. Be patient and persistent.

Thank you to Eric and Stacy for this opportunity! My husband, our pup and I stayed for two nights and were so sad to leave! The cabin is adorable and very cozy. The hot tub was amazing to relax in during the cool mornings and nights. The view, well you have to stay here to understand the beauty! It was a great celebration of our wedding anniversary! Only advice I have is to bring food to cook, once you get there you won't want to leave! We are so glad we stayed here with plenty of privacy to enjoy our getaway from busy city life!

Both my fiancé and I really enjoyed staying here. The scenery is amazing, one of a kind. We actually was planning on tent camping. Turns out it was going to rain all weekend. So we decided to book a cabin last minute. We visit Maggie Valley often. Staying here made us appreciate the town so much more. Very beautiful!! Highly highly recommend!!

This little Slice of Heaven was nothing fancy but everything that we needed and wanted! Cozy, quiet and fantastic views! We chose this cabin for the fireplace, hot tub and firepit. Weather was very nice for off season, so we did a little hiking, sightseeing, shopping and the museum in Cherokee. Cooked most of our meals in the cabin. Owners are very nice and helpful. Our first VRBO rental did not disappoint! We highly recommend this cabin! -Lisa & Matt
