About this house rental

The two bedroom/one bathroom “Kaleido House” is the largest unit in the Zilker Vacations family. It features by far the most original art and colorful decor to go along with the spacious tall ceilings.

The Kaleido House is located just .44 miles to Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool, the perfect location to enjoy everything that Austin has to offer. There is easy walking access to many of Austin’s famous restaurants as well as the outdoor paradise that is Zilker Park. Take a dip in the 68 degree waters of Barton Springs after enjoying a hike through the Barton Creek Greenbelt or a stroll around Lady Bird Lake. After a day outdoors, you’re only a short way back!

The vaulted beamed knotty pine wood ceilings make the over 1000 square feet seem even bigger. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle cooking big meals, and the Whole Foods world headquarters and Trader Joe's is approx 2 miles away. Several smaller convenience stores are blocks away.

There is a king bed with Temperpedic mattress in the master bedroom and two XL twins in the second bedroom, which can be made up as a king upon request.

Other amenities include: fresh coffee (organic local Ruta Maya) and tea fixings, washer/dryer and detergent, bath and beach towels, and a Britta water filter to keep fresh water in the refrigerator. There is a gas grill on the deck and tools and grate covers in the kitchen.

A wonderful residential location on the Southwest side of Austin. The location is in close proximity to anything you want to do in Austin. The hosts are accommodating and communicate well. I highly recommend this cozy and comfortable home.

We had a great weekend getaway as a family at the Kaleido House! It was very clean and comfortable and decorated very nicely. We have stayed in many rental properties and I believe this was one of the best we have experienced. Beds were very comfortable and the hosts were very responsive to questions. There were extra amenities provided and suggestions on what to do while we were in town which we appreciated! Can't beat the location right next to Barton Springs and beautiful Zilker Park!

We loved the property, loved the location, would definitely stay again in the future. We especially loved that the home had adequate towels, sheets, blankets, kitchenware, etc. Very nice to have cleaning supplies, shower supplies, and kitchen/cooking basics. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was comfortable and well appointed. The managers were very easy to communicate with and more than obliging if we needed anything. Great to know you can bring your toddler and dog and have that be easy for everyone. It's a lovely area, close to the park and Barton Springs and also nice to just walk around the neighborhood. Would absolutely book here again when staying in Austin!

The house is so cute and so well appointed. The location is perfect and very close to Zilker Park and Barton Creek. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. And although is was hot, we spent a lot of time on the deck under that giant oak tree. ♥️ I grudgingly highly recommend this place because I don’t want you to be there when I want to. 😂

This property is amazing! The location can't be beat, the neighborhood was quiet and the property itself is well appointed, very comfortable and nicely decorated. The hosts were so helpful! We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this one had EVERYTHING we could need! The shaded front porch was a comfortable place to relax even in 100 degree heat! We took our dogs to "Barking" Springs which is just below Barton Springs pool and they had so much fun splashing in the cool water. We hiked in the greenbelt area and we enjoyed some of the wonderful food Austin is famous for. We will be back and Kaleido House is where we will stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Kaleido House. The house was cozy and inviting and we loved the colorful decor!! Great location. We enjoyed how close we were to Zilker Park and the Barton Springs pool. The hosts were courteous and easy to contact with prompt responses. We would definitely recommend this property for sure!

Needed to switch spots with addition of pets. Hosts were very accommodating and found another spot that worked well in same area. Had a little hiccup with that, but again, host very accommodating to find us another spot. Ended up in Charlie which was super cute and suited our group well. Absolutely love the zilker area! We’d definitely book with this host again. Thanks!!

My friends and I loved staying here for our Austin vacation! The super fun decor really makes you feel like you are taking a break. Also, the beds are really comfortable, it's really well appointed and clean, and it's just really really nice! The deck was also lovely although weather prevented us from using it too often. The location is amazing - perfect for getting around Austin and so close to Zilker. The property owners are also super responsive; there was a slight hiccup checking in, but we were able to get in touch and get into the house within minutes!

The Kaleido house was truly a pleasure to stay at. So many beautiful personal touches and such a lovely and cheery decor. Loved the fresh coffee beans and the informative book with things to do. Loved the tree house feel/ deck. Beds comfortable. We will be back.

Super location, easy access to many Austin sights and restaurants including the Barton Springs Pool; Bats at Congress Bridge; Lady Bird Johnson WildLife Sanctuary and delicious food options. Family friendly and safe for all ages. Comfortable beds and very clean. Zilker Property Owners were warm, welcoming, responsive and very helpful. One of the best VRBO rentals I have experienced in our many years using it as a family across the country. Everything we needed was provided. Would stay here again if we return to Austin.

Perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood but convenient to outdoor recreation as well as downtown. Great mix of outdoor activities (with perfect weather) food and arts. We could bike, hike, or play tennis, pickle ball or disc golf and/or head to a museum, gardens, concert or just out to eat. The house was super cute and very well stocked from extra blankets and pillows to coffee, toiletries and more and the homeowners gave extremely helpful detailed instructions about parking, entering the home, and how to get in touch if needed in addition to local recommendations.

The house was just as pictured and it was perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable and the home was well stocked with everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised to find a step stool in the bathroom for our 4 year old to reach the sink and a cabinet full of fun games to play. The location was great. We were able to walk to many places and downtown was just a short drive away. There was a binder full of helpful resources and for local activities too. We would absolutely stay again!

The property was well thought and clean; there was confusion as to whether about our reservation as to which property and they scheduled a repair man to do a quick job while we were there which was an inconvenience though they asked politely - still it should have bee rescheduled at a time when there wasn't a renter; we had to find somewhere to be outside of the property and wait at a restaurant with our dog. Besides that all was well
