Everything about this little cottage is perfect! It is cute, clean, comfortable and a perfect location that is close to the square but not too close if you want to be away. My trip was a first time solo trip without a car and I was able to find everything very easily and felt very safe walking around town in the evenings and on daytime trail walks. I truly loved my stay at this cottage in Grassington! Check in and communication was very easy and responsive too. Thank you for sharing your little bit of heaven.

I looked for a place for my husband and I to have a comfortable home base from which to explore the locations used in All Creatures Great and Small on PBS. This could not have been more perfect. It is cozy and located in easy walking distance to the quaint town square and shops. The only downside- and what I think could be something others might need to know- is that 1) the bedroom and only bathroom are upstairs with kitchen and sitting room downstairs and 2) even though the listing says there are three parking spaces near the cottage, they were always filled and we had to park a good distance away and walk to and from the car, up and down a hill. The cottage itself requires a walk, even if you are lucky enough to get one of those spaces. Anyone with any difficulty in mobility would not have an easy go of it. Luckily, we didn’t, but still, when it was unexpectedly cold, rainy, and windy, that long walk to the car was not pleasant.
That’s my only negative for this charming cottage. We had a truly magical week in Grassington, and I highly recommend it!

The ratings guide would only allow 5 stars. But we give the Hill Top Fold a 5 ++++++++++ and then some.
If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, out of the fray lodging look no more. This the place for you. My wife have been staying in VRBOs since the inception of VRBOs. By far, this is one of if not the best we had the pleasure to stay.
Our Host, although we didn’t meet them personally, were wonderful. Very responsive to any questions. The cottage has been in the family since the mid 60s. So you don’t have to deal with an absentee owner.
Two sister who own the cottage would spend their summers there. When you have two siblings who love each other and respect each other to go into business together, it is something special. So look no further.
There isn’t anything I would change in the cottage. My favorite feature of the cottage, and this may sound odd, was the green Dutch front door. I’ve always wanted one, and our stay only intensified that desire.
Like I said, Look no further!! This is the place as far as we are concerned. But stay away from the last 2 weeks of June 2025. We are already planning a return visit to Grassington. There are more trails to explore.
Peace,
V and M

Beautiful cosy and comfortable cottage ideally situated in the glorious setting of Grassington. Local pubs and food were great. People very friendly and welcoming. Stunning scenery and even managed to see Wharfdale play rugby on Saturday (yes they won). Would definitely come back, almost forgot an epic trip to Wensleydale to the cheese makers. Absolutely fascinating and lots of cheese purchased

We very much enjoyed staying at this little cottage- well located for hiking and the village is big enough to have plenty of amenities for eating, groceries, pharmacy but still quiet. The cottage was clearly well cared for and we had plenty of space for two of us. We especially enjoyed the bright breakfast nook and had everything we needed for light cooking. Would love to return to beautiful Yorkshire!

We really enjoyed this cottage. Very quiet area (a little hard to find). This was a very cozy adorable cottage that has everything you need. WiFi was great so we could stream ‘All creatures great and small’. Adorable breakfast nook for drinking coffee while looking outside.

The cottage was well-appointed and comfortable with all the equipment required that you would expect. The small garden was also a nice feature especially during the lovely weather we were lucky to have.
The only downside was the very limited parking available nearby. We decided to leave our car in the large Yorkshire Dales Information Centre carpark and booked a place for the week which worked fine for us.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Grassington and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the cottage again.

The cottage was wonderful --very clean, well-equipped, just as lovely as it appears in the listing. It is tucked away from the nearby lane (where we were always able to find parking) so very quiet and peaceful. It's a short walk to the center of Grassington, which has many places to eat and a Co-Op market. We were lucky enough to be there when filming for All Creatures Great and Small was ongoing! All in all, a great experience. We highly recommend this cottage.

We very much enjoyed a few days stay at the cottage. The cottage was excellent, well equipped with everything we needed. The location was good at the top end of the Main Street with easy walking access to pubs, restaurants and shops. Communications with the owner were very quick and clear. Overall, we are looking to return to Grassington (hopefully when the weather is better!) and hope to stay in the cottage again.

This lovely little cottage was perfect for our short stay in Grassington. It was small, but clean, cosy, tastefully decorated and in a great location only a few minutes to the centre of the village with its pubs and numerous coffee shops. There are plenty of public footpaths nearby giving access to miles of beautiful Yorkshire Dales scenery.. I would definitely stay again.
