About this cabin rental

The cabin is conveniently located on the South Westridge Rd, within walking distance to the Western Territory runs or a short hike to Snowshoe Village. Free shuttle from the driveway to / from the Village. This is a spacious home away from home. The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 10 adults, or 12 people with children - assuming four children share the two full beds in the bunk room. En total, there are seven beds - one king, two queens, and a bunk room with two fulls and two twins.

The hot tub accommodates six adults, and has peak views of the Allegheny Mountains from a private deck.

The open concept main floor features a large kitchen with island that seats four, a dining table for ten, and a comfortable living room with fireplace and smart TV. The living room has high ceilings and offers direct access to the covered front porch, with a swing and outdoor chairs for taking in the view of the Allegheny Mountains.

The owner's bedroom is also located on the main floor and has a king bed and en suite bathroom with jetted tub. The laundry room and a half bath are conveniently located on the main floor.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The second and third bedrooms feature queen beds. The fourth bedroom has two bunk-beds each with a twin bed on the top and a full bed on the bottom - this is a great room for the kids! The three upstairs bedrooms share a full bathroom with shower / tub.

Snowshoe Village is just a four minute drive, or an on-call shuttle away. If adventurous, you can bike it in 15 minutes or "hike the hill" directly up to the Village.

* Please note there is a steep driveway leading to the view cabin. AWD / 4WD recommended in the winter season. We do our best to clear the driveway, but it can be difficult during heavy storms, as the cabin sits at the top of Snowshoe Resort.

We hope you will retreat to Beargarten to enjoy the skiing, mountain biking, hiking, golf, swimming, water sports, breweries and restaurants of Snowshoe Mountain Resort!

The property was very nice and agreed well with the pictures. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. No automatic ice makers but there were plenty of ice trays. They have a neat portable ice maker that we used for most of our drink ice needs. There was plenty of firewood in the garage and we really enjoyed fires every night we were there. The hot tub worked great and was big enough for everyone to get in. There is easy access to a hose to refill the hot tub each night. It is a short ride from the house to the slopes. There is a shuttle bus that can pick you up on the road but we did not use it. The road the house is on dead-ends into the Western territory slopes, and we skied out from there. It is closer to the house but still a drive and making the turn from the driveway is difficult, so we only did it once. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen table was big enough for everyone.

Eric, Thank you again for accommodating our need to shift our stay 1 day! We really enjoyed the house with a couple exceptions. The first problem was probably our fault for not reading something, but we didn't realize there was a second thermostat until we read the checkout instructions on the last day. The main room and upstairs stayed very cold all week, but the master bedroom was too hot all week. Next time we will know better but we think you should let guests know (somewhere obvious) that there are 2 thermostats! The second was of course the hot tub, we were able to finally use it on the last day but it took that long to get back up to temperature after refilling on day 2. I think you should also warn guests they will need to heat the tub up 12 hours in advance of using since it takes that long to get from 90F to the 102F... a usable temperature range for winter. Also, the water level was low again after we used it because we noticed water drains out the holes where there are missing headrests when in use. Thanks again, we will be back. Anne Marie

We came to Snowshoe for a quiet getaway and despite all the activities available in the immediate area in the fall season, we found just that. The house has the space and amenities to easily host large groups, but we went for a anniversary getaway and it still felt cozy with just two people. We can’t recommend the place highly enough, and whether it’s a champagne (or beer) sunset or a morning cappuccino on the porch next to the fire pit, it’s a absolute winner!

To summarize the house, multiple people said "this house is actually nicer in person than the pictures show! This house was perfect for our extended family. We had three couples in individual bedrooms and three kids in the bunk room. Everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The fireplace and homeowner supplied firewood was a hit. Shoutout to the homeowners for the surprisingly nice linens.

I came up with a group of friends. The cabin was awesome - fully stocked, easy to access, super close to Snowshoe. We had an issue with the hose the second day and the property owner replied immediately to help us get it resolved. I hope to stay here again in the future!

The cabin was very clean and comfortable for our family. We really liked access to the garage to store our skis and wet snow gear. The driveway is pretty steep, but was no problem, considering most of the snow had melted. Hot tub was fun. Our only complaint, which we’ve run into at other VRBOs, was the lack of a satellite TV package. There’s a smart tv with Apple TV, Netflix, etc, but no service (as far as we could see) with the networks or regular cable channels. We weren’t able to watch some bowl games we were interested in, so that was disappointing. Other than that, everything was great and we highly recommend this property!

This is one of those properties where are you arrive and you are more than pleasantly surprised that you have everything you were promised, and more. We particularly enjoyed the great room space where our group gathered together to watch television around the fire and play games. Everything is extremely convenient and the host thought of everything. There are even little extendable forks to make s’mores in the fireplace! A really terrific experience.

This is our 2nd time staying at Beargarten! It is absolutely perfect for our family! The place is always clean. We love being just outside the village because it is a little quieter and more private. Love seeing the deer right outside the window! Hope we can stay again!

We have stayed here more than once, and will choose it again next time! For summery stays- super convenient to the western territory as well as a jaunt up the hill to the main resort. The views and privacy are top notch! The house is in great shape, with good wifi and responsive hosts

The property was perfect for a family gathering in the mountains! Plenty of space to hangout and enjoy the views. Comfortable rooms and a nice kitchen for cooking meals in the evening. It had easy access to the village making skiing a breeze. Would definitely go back.

This was our second time staying at this home - idyllic setting for days on the mountain (short drive or shuttle from house) and plenty of space and options to relax in the house or hot tub in the evenings. Check-in and out process was easily, property owner responsive despite lack luster cell service :) Recommend for your next Snoeshow stay.

Our stay was wonderful! The owner was amazing, he made sure we made it safely and asked if we needed anything during our stay. The coffee maker was broken before we arrived, and he had a new one sent the day of our arrival. The house has everything you would ever need, and is very spacious. It is close to western territory which is nice, and the shuttle comes to the bottom of the driveway when you want to go to snowshoe/silvercreek. We will be coming back!

This house was the perfect size for us. It seemed almost new inside because of all the updating the owner has done. TV in the bunk room was ideal for gaming and movies for the kids (when we weren't skiing). The hot tub felt great after skiing. We loved the large dinner table, open kitchen with island and den with fireplace and two big sofas. The whole family loved this house.

This was our 10th year coming as a family to Snowshoe. This was our best trip yet! This house was the PERFECT size for our crew of 7-not too big, not too small! Evening chats by the fire, hot tub after skiing -awesome! Beautiful sunsets and sunrises! Eric was very easy to work with and quick to respond if I had questions. We can't wait to go back next year!
