About this house rental
Fair Winds is a true tropical beach house located on a hill with stunning turquoise ocean views, and a lush tropical garden! A quick 2 minute walk to our beach access with 1/2 mile of white sand, turquoise waters and a beautiful reef to snorkel and adventure on! The property is very private, with native Bahamian flowers, palms, and trees surrounding the grounds. The house is your home away from home with a beautiful kitchen, stocked with all the amenities a Chef will need! The Great Room is a focal point of the home, perfect for gatherings and enjoying the beautiful turquoise views. The Great Room, featuring built-in soft seating and a dining table for 8 guests, has stunning high ceilings and a wall of windows to look out over the ocean and palm trees! There are three bedrooms, 2 King bedrooms upstairs with 2 full baths, and the Garden Room located on the lower level has a Queen bed and a Twin bed with an on suite full bath. The wrap around deck provides a great place to enjoy the Bahamian breezes, tropical bird songs, and of course -THE VIEW! After a quick swim at the beach, enjoy the outdoor shower and snorkel gear rinse station. The outdoor barstools and rail provide the perfect spot for coffee or drinks while listening to the waves crash.
We are less than 10 minutes from the airport and within walking distance of a grocery and liquor store.

Fair Winds is a great house just few minutes away from the beach, thoughtfully decorated, very cosy but spacious at the same time, with plenty of space to host 5 of us, and would accommodate more people if some of them are couples. The house has everything provided to make you feel at home. Kristen, the owner, went well and beyond and was super accommodating and provided with a lot of tips and recommendations and was responding to all of our questions very promptly. Highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our stay at Fair Winds. We had 2 adults and 2 children under 10 and the house had more than enough room for us. Kristin provided great recommendations for our trip and we had the best time! The house had everything we could have needed during our stay.

Our stay at Fair Winds in Exuma was amazing. The house and property are wonderful spaces to relax and enjoy the island life. From short walks down to the beach for incredible sunrises, to sitting on the porch to watch serene sunset, to perfect family meals around the big dining room table, everything was better than we could have hoped for. Kristin was the perfect host and gave us all the local tips on where to eat and what activities not to miss. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Everything was great. It was a short walk to the beach that was basically private as no one else was there. Ocean views and a great living/dining area with ocean views! Definitely recommend!

We spent a great month at Fair Winds. The house is attractive and very comfortable. We headed often to local beaches, did some bonefishing, found fun restaurants, and relaxed on the deck. The owners were very accommodating of our needs and local contact, Keno, helped with household requests and local recommendations. Love that hospitality!

The house was perfect, a little piece of paradise! We rented a boat one day and went on a half day excursion saw the pigs feed the iguanas! Hope to be back soon! Great Experience!! Highly recommend!!

We loved Fair Winds! The house is beautifully decorated and appointed. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed many meals in the spacious dining area. Love the porch and the back garden. We were so comfortable, it was hard to leave! The beach is a short walk. The ocean was rather rough and wavy when we were there, but I enjoyed the surf. The star gazing at night was amazing! And we appreciated the small touches. Only issue was that the bar area wine chiller and ice machine were not working during our stay. Would be a good idea to add some ice trays to the freezer in case this happens again. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

This was an unexpected gem. The photos do not give justice to the views from this little house. The decor highlights and compliments the aqua blue oceans. Easy walk to a beach with few visitors and quick access to small stores and Georgetown.

This is a great rental. The house is very comfortable and easy. We were two adults and two teens. We all had our own space and could come together for meals and game time. The location is easy to the airport, and accessing all of the island. The view is very nice as is the outside space. We actually didn't visit the local beach as we did tours (Exuma Cays and also rented a boat from Minns), and went to Rolleville. We were super pleased with this home and recommend it to others.

Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation. Your beautiful home was the perfect place for our family of four. We did it all! Local beach, Hooper's Bay, Big D's, Cocoplum Beach, Chat and Chill, Exuma Water Sports Pig Tour, Blu Restaurant, Tropic of Cancer Beach, Jolly Hall Beach, and even star gazing from the home. Love the warmth and care and quality and style of this home with countless amenities. Wonderful house manager, too. Definitely recommend Exuma and your home. Forever cherish the memories.

This was our first time to the Bahamas and our group consisted of 4 cousins. The house was fabulous with a very private feel with beautiful landscaping & accents. The beach was about a 2 minute walk and we rarely encountered others. Everyone we met was super friendly & helpful. Kristen & Keno were both just a text away. Loved this location!

Fair Winds was even more beautiful in person. The home was spacious, comfortable, sun lit, well airconditioned and had ceiling fans and sliding doors. You could see and hear the ocean from the kitchen, dining room and deck! Kristen was so communicative before and during the stay. She provided me with great details of things to do and many recommendations for eating, boat and car rentals and excursions. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking and meal prep. Kristen even provided a service where I could order groceries before I arrived so that the fridge was stocked when we got there. That was amazing! The two upstairs bedrooms were large with queen beds. The three bathrooms all had showers. The downstairs bedroom had a queen bed and a twin bed/day bed too. This one was more private with a sliding door entrance and it's bathroom was the largest. So you could fit a couple and their kids down there easily. Internet was great too. Kristen had beach chairs to use (small ones with carry bags so they were easy to take on my day trips) and beach towels. The only thing we needed to bring was our snorkel gear but turns out we didn't really even need that because we did a day trip which provided the gear. You can walk to a beach with waves in just 2 minutes. And drive to calmer beaches in 5-10 minutes. I did the close beach each morning and night and then drove to all the other beaches mid day. Parking at all beaches is easy. I will be returning to Fair Winds ASAP! Wonderful Experience

This loved home was perfect for our ladies vacation week. The house is exactly as pictured online. We walked to our nearby beach, which is like having a beach to yourself. The home is located near the airport, which was very convenient. The home had everything we needed during our stay. It is clean and very beach. The owner was so welcoming and gave us lots of information about restaurants, boat tours, etc. We had a great week in paradise and would stay at Fair Winds again!

Great place for us to stay on Exuma! Kristen was an exemplary host - she went above and beyond to make sure that we had all that we needed (and more) for our stay. House was perfect for our family of six - exactly as advertised. We appreciated havng a well-stocked kitchen as eating out is pricey in Exuma and we made a lot of meals oursevles. Would highly recommend!

Staying at Fair Winds on Great Exuma was an exceptional experience- it is just the kind of family beach house we’d design for ourselves. My husband and myself, our kid and my Mom each had our own room and bathroom. Privacy and opportunity to retreat as needed. For our much needed vacation, the house gave us a centrally located base to enjoy the fun or super chill options of Exuma. We also had plenty of time to hang out together after a day of fun. We enjoyed
family dinners - cooked by me in the superbly appointed chef’s kitchen. We opted to eat in the amazing open great room and then relax in the family area with games galore and option of the smart TV (if needed) There were ample options for hanging out after dark. When the breeze was blowing (most of the time for us!) we chilled at the outdoor counter on the wrap-around deck to watch sunsets in the west! The beach was only a 2 minute walk. No matter where we went sight-seeing for the day, we spent a time at their beach both morning and afternoon! The water is warm and blue! We had a wonderful time!
Fair Winds totally offered everything as described! We will come back to Exuma and stay here again!

Fair Winds was in a great location, close to the airport great place for day trips to either end of the island. The house was very clean and so cute. The beach was a minute walk and very private! We were the only ones on it all were. Kristen communicated with us before during and after our stay to be sure everything was ok- would definitely stay again!

The property was well kept, very clean, decorated beautify, the owners put a lot of work into their home and it had everything we needed. They sent above and beyond providing plenty of tows and a fully stocked kitchen. We absolutely loved it and the owner was very nice and provided all the information we needed to enjoy our stay.

Best Host
Our time at Fait Winds was perfect, from the time we booked to the check out process Kristen was simply the best hosts we had with VRBO so far, she provided us a great pre-trip overview of what to expect and checked-in to ensure we had everything we needed.
The house listing was spot on to what we found when arriving. Eat quick 3 min walk to the beach, which was like a private beach for us during the 10 day stay. The location was as stated and we found it to be a great spot to get around Great Exuma. Fair Winds is close to George Town and the northern part of Great Exuma with easy access to the grocery and restaurant. We took a couple of trips to the southern part which was a bit of a trek but usually not bad being able to enjoy the scenery on the way.
The recommendations Kristen gave us were also perfect and as described.
Overall we had a great time, this being our first to Great Exuma, and we will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Cabin by the sea
Dope space to rent with friends and vibe or family. Walking to a beach. Drive to all of them and all the rest of the island. Close to it all. North side is lovely and south side is lovely. Every room has a window and or most have ocean views at the house. The views are just so chill and stunning. The property grounds are fun to roam and see what you find around. Loved learning about the flowers or plants on the property as well. To me Fair winds is a gem! I’d love to go back!

Absolutely perfect
The property was absolutely perfect for young children. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for us to spread out. The location cannot be beat with proximity to the airport, Beach and Georgetown. Definitely recommend renting a car because you will want to explore!
The house had everything we needed including plenty of beach towels and beach toys. The kitchen was well appointed with all the necessary equipment. The coffee/wine bar was a wonderful plus. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. I would certainly stay here again and we are looking at the calendar planning our return trip!

A+ Experience & Home
We reserved Fair Winds for a get-away with four best girlfriends and the experience was 5 stars. The home was clean, up-to-date, comfortable and much more spacious than how it appears in the photos. Everyone had room to spread out with large comfortable beds, three full bathrooms and a modern kitchen and bar area. The location is perfect to head down to the beach with morning coffee (steps away), to go to the resort for the day, nearby restaurants, Georgetown, transportation with boat companies and to gaze as the stars at night. We are a picky bunch and everyone was pleasantly surprised just how nice the home was for the price! It was nice to stay at a home versus a resort too as we felt we were truly staying at someone's beach bungalow while also being able to enjoy all the perks of the island. Kristen was extremely responsive every step of the way. Would highly recommend Fair Winds and will be back!

Overall, the place was very clean and it easily accommodated eight of us. It was exactly as described/pictured and it had everything that we needed especially for the "chef" in the group. We will definitely be back.
