About this house rental
The "Eight-Ten Legacy" is a luxurious home that has a two-story living area with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, that will fulfill all of your lake desires. From relaxing in the stillness of the morning to maximizing the day with boating, fishing, kayaking, and just floating, your heart will be content at the close of each day! The "Eight-Ten" has a large, flat, and grassy backyard, with a beautifully landscaped paver walkway, to your private dock. The same large backyard has a well-designed, paver-built, fire pit area that provides the perfect spot for gathering by the fire to reminisce about your day and enjoy a kid favorite....smores!!! There is also a custom-built fire pit cover, that turns the cold fire pit into a table for games and picnics.
This home is located at the end of the road and provides plenty of privacy, as well as large, breathtaking views of Lake Keowee. The "Eight-Ten" is perfectly placed on the lot, in order to see the most magnificent sunsets. The large back deck provides the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and quiet time, while taking in the silent and still-blue beauty of the lake. Or enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings, while grilling and watching the sunset create a watercolor sky for your viewing.
When first arriving to the home, you will be greeted with inviting and professionally designed landscape, a one-car garage, as well as enough parking for two additional vehicles. As guests enter the home, they will see a two-story living area with expansive windows, forcing the eye directly to the lake, literally just steps away. The living area provides spacious seating, including a couch, a chair, and a recliner. In cooler temps, enjoy the cozy gas fireplace with a flip of a switch. This open floor plan allows for additional seating in close proximity, with bar stools aligning the spacious kitchen bar, as well as a family dinner table that will seat 8. There is a large flat screen TV located above the mantle, with surround sound speakers.
The main level of the home also provides an inviting foyer area, a spacious master and guest bedroom, a washer and dryer, and a well-designed kitchen. The luxurious master bedroom provides the comfort of plush new carpet with a king-size bed, large flat screen TV and large walk-in closet, with professionally designed shelving. The master bathroom provides a lake-view fit for royalty. It has the luxury of a tile walk-in shower with a large built-in seat, as well a vanity with two sinks for space and comfort. The guest bedroom also provides a luxurious space for a king-size bed, large flat screen TV, a closet with professionally-designed shelving and a private door to the guest bathroom. This bathroom offers a tub/shower combo, that is perfect for both kids and adults. The spacious and well-stocked kitchen, with custom cabinets and granite countertops, is the ideal space to congregate and enjoy meal prepping in the evenings while preparing for the sunset.

This lake house was a "cut above" other properties on listed for short term rental on Lake Keowee. The house was fully loaded with all kitchen items needed, comfortable beds/pillows and a high quality boat dock.
I can't say enough good things about this property. We will be back.

This property is exceptional! Sherry was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The easy walk to the lake and dock was wonderful. We will definitely stay at the 810 on our next visit to the area.

We loved everything about this property. It was so clean and the beds were like sleeping in the clouds. The shower was so nice and had great pressure. The dock was clean as well as the entire property. Very private. We would love to come back next year.

From the initial booking to the welcome from the property owner it was an easy and hassle free booking (our first Verb) Pictures did not do it justice. The location is Awesome and the property inside and out is immaculate. I highly recommend this location for a family vacation or just a getaway for Two.

Everything was fabulous. The house is wonderful with everything needed for our stay.
The dock is so enjoyable to sit and relax and watch the sunset. All different Lake toys were available and great fun since the house is situated in a cove away from main lake traffic.
Look forward to being back in the fall.

Beautiful lake front home - we had a blast visiting our daughter and her friends at Clemson. Owners were terrific. The fire pit overlooking the lake was the icing on the cake. Overall a wonderful holiday with family and friends

Simply the best. Wonderful hospitality and communication. The home's location, layout, and décor was perfect for our family and guest. Temps were a little chilly, but looking forward to coming back in the summer when we take full advantage of the fire pit, fishing and lake watersports. Highly recommend !!

We came in to visit our Clemson freshman and catch our first game. It was so nice to gather as a family under one roof. What a place, all the comforts of home in Texas, and then some! The house was well laid out and furnished beautifully! The sunsets were spectacular! We hope to stay again! Thank you for the chance to reconnect with our kid in such a special place!

My family like always Love this house and it’s location. This is our third time staying at this particular house on Lake Keowee. We have been staying at Lake Keowee for over 11 years now and this is one of our absolute favorites. You could not get a better full Lake view anywhere else. You also have your own little island beside the house to walk to everyday too which is a big plus. We had a family of 5 and it suited our needs perfectly. The beds in the house are very comfortable and both bedrooms downstairs have King sized beds. Everything is so clean and the views of the Lake from the house can’t be beat. In addition to the house, the McGuffin’s are some of the nicest owners you will ever meet. They were always accommodating if anything ever was needed. You could not get better people to rent a house from Lake Keowee from. We can’t wait to return to this magical place by the Lake.

We had the opportunity to stay for a Mom’s weekend with my daughter and her Sorority. When we found out the ring ceremony was going to be later than we thought the owners were very flexible to allow us to add an additional stay . We were able to enjoy the home with several moms and our daughters. It was a beautiful weekend with amazing views and talks by the outside fire pit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay . We were a bit disappointed that we would only be able to use the water “toys” if we paid extra but other than that a great stay and we do hope to go back!

Exceeded expectations!
We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a great location! 15 to 20 minutes from nice hiking and pickle ball courts close by. The bed we super comfy! There are two king beds which we weren’t expecting. We thought we were getting one queen and one king. So that was an awesome surprise. My only suggestion would be to move the loft bed away from the half wall upstairs. It made us a little nervous.
All in all a great trip! Would definitely rent again!

Gorgeous property ! Lovely secluded property yet close to civilization. House very beautiful and well maintained. It was no problem for us, but 3rd bedroom is in a loft. Love this place and hope to come back. The pier is an awesome place to have coffee…what a view!

The house & location were wonderful. Temperatures were a bit low & it rained most of the time, so we didn't get to enjoy the outside deck & fire ring. Look forward to a return trip when temps are warmer.

Be prepared to be video monitored
The property, house and location are adequately nice. However, from the moment you arrive you are being monitored by video cameras that are not mentioned in the listing description. The front door cameras are understandable. But when my family sat down for dinner on the back deck and noticed a camera pointed directly at our table, we felt obliged to turn it slightly towards the side yard, so we would not be under observation during our meal. Little did we know what an issue this would cause with the homeowners. Only after leaving the property did we receive a complaint about the camera not being repositioned to a precise location and we received an extra charge for asking house keeping to readjust the video monitor. Also, prior to checking out, we noticed some debris that washed up on shore from the lake and as a courtesy put that directly in the trash which we received a charge for. The homeowner was extremely rude and confrontational on the phone when discussing the extra $86 charges.
