About this cabin rental

Perfect for big families or groups with a large kitchen and common area, spacious bedrooms, and large deck overlooking the lake. Plenty of activities nearby year round from boating, to hiking to shopping and dining in Somerset. Let us help you plan your activities!

We pride ourselves on providing a clean, fun environment for our guests. We stay at vacation rentals a lot and you can always tell what properties are just an investment and which ones the owners use themselves. We have a lot of extras like tons of kitchen utensils, bowls, etc. and plenty of towels. Plus we have corn hole boards and bags, lots of games and toys for kids, a fire pit with stocked wood, etc. We even have things you may forget like a toothbrush, sunscreen, etc. We want you to be able to fully relax when you get here!

Please note: While we are on the water, there is no lake access from the house. When you’re on the lake at Cumberland it’s beautiful because there are very few docs, you can’t cut trees down at the lake shore and it’s a steep incline. Therefore most houses don’t have docs or lake access. However, we’re in a great spot with a lot of close lake access points. In case you’re new to Lake Cumberland I just want to set the right expectations!

We stayed here on our first trip to Kentucky, the house did not disappoint. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 4 young teenagers. We did not feel cramped and there was plenty of beds. Fenced yard for the dogs too! The kids loved the loft. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Lovely gift basket upon arrival. The host was quick to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend this location.

Beautiful home with amazing lake views! Our family enjoyed our Christmas vacation in this lovely house that was super inviting, roomy, and clean. Our host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.... even left a welcome basket of goodies! We hope to return in the future!

Had a wonderful time and this house is perfect! New upgrades were great! Comfy beds and great large kitchen. We were able to block off the back porch so that the grandbaby and dogs were contained while adults enjoyed music and conversation. Firepit is the best and we even had a meteor shower as a light show!

We enjoyed our stay and had so much fun on the lake. The home offers plenty of room for larger families/groups. The house was also very clean and well stocked with supplies. I love that we never ran out of clean towels! The welcome basket was perfect and very thoughtful. A lot of detail was put into this lake house to make it very comfortable and enjoyable. It was just a short drive to Conley Bottom Marina where we rented a boat slip that was perfect for our daily boating and water activities. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here oh and our puppy ranger !! I give this cabin 5 stars and A+++ We celebrated 2 birthdays during our stay The cabin is a 10/10! Very clean with everything we needed its close to 3 different marinas we all had plenty space The kitchen was more than stocked and accommodating The fence was perfect for ranger :) every thing was so-so great !! the kids loved the games and yummy smores they made out by the fire pit we cant thank you enough (Kate)for sharing your property with us she did check in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Already planning a trip back next summer

There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room to cook, sleep, and hang out. We did notice an occasional strong odor from the nearby animal farms. Overall, we had a great time during our stay.

Very spacious indeed. Close to the Marina. Looks small outside but very spacious inside. Kitchen is complete with utensils. Our kids had so much fun during our stay. They love the bonfire as well. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to stay. Stayed for a week with my family (8 people). There was plenty of room for all of us. Rented a boat about 40 minutes away and had a blast on the lake. The huge kitchen was a big plus (as we all like to cook), and the house is close to nice grocery stores. Would 100% recommend!

We had a very relaxing few days, just what was needed. The house was very large as described with a very well stocked kitchen. The fenced in yard and baby gates were great to let the dog play, but not get too far out of site. I'd definitely recommend but emphasize that there is another cabin on the property thats very close. It wasn't an issue at all, but surprised how close it was. The welcome basket was a nice touch and the welcome binder had lots of good suggestions. The fire pit looks like a great place to hang out next time with the lake view and stocked woodpile.

Our group of 10 ranging in age from 2-71 had a wonderful time! The house was exactly as pictured but still exceeded our expectations. The kids were delighted with the assortment of toys and games. I was thrilled with such a well-appointed kitchen. The flexible gating options on the stairs and deck are a real plus for families traveling with very young children. The views of the lake were incredible. Coffee on the deck listening to the birds was so relaxing! And Kate was so easy to work with. Very responsive before and during our stay. So many thoughtful touches, including a welcome basket with everything we needed to make s’mores with the kids plus a bottle of wine for the grownups. We would love to return when the weather warms up enough to really enjoy the lake.

Great cabin for all seasons! Came here in the summer for fun on the lake and loved it! Decided to see it in the winter and do some hiking in the area. The view of the lake from cabin is beautiful and went to Pulaski park to hike, which was great! We’ll be back

We had an amazing New Years weekend with family. The house is very nice, plenty of room, plenty of parking and everything we could need. We had age 8 months all the way up to 64 years and everyone had a wonderful time. We had no need to contact the owners but I’m sure we would have promptly got help had we needed it. We hope to get to stay again sometime!

We had our family Thanksgiving at the cabin. The house was nicely decorated for the season and the kitchen had everything anyone would need for a large dinner. The kids really liked the loft bedroom area. The other bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of sheets and blankets. The four bathrooms were handy. We enjoyed the provided camp fire goodies; the view from the fire pit and deck were great. We cooked out on the charcoal grilled and watched the Ohio State vs Michigan football game on the large screen TV. There was even a secure yard for the dog. All in all we had a very good time. My son and his wife want to bring their friends for more fun times.

The property was very spacious and easily accommodated our group of 12. The beds were very comfortable and having the 3 1/2 bathrooms was awesome. The kitchen was well equipped with all the little extras. The common areas were comfortable and there was plenty of seating for everyone. We are in the process of booking a return trip, as it is a great central meeting place from Alabama, North Carolina, Ohio, and Michigan.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Kate’s place! We had plans to go to Cumberland Falls and hike but we ended up staying at the house the entire time because it was so nice. It felt so homey and had everything we needed. We went during the fall so we had fires every night looking out at the lake. We also cooked every night and the kitchen was super well stocked. Our kids loved the bunk beds, toys, and games. As a mom of a toddler, I appreciated how kid friendly the whole place was. The baby gate at the bottom of the stairs and on the deck was a game changer and let me relax. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog as well! There is a ton of space and I plan to come back in the summer with some girlfriends. Thanks for sharing your place with us, we loved it!

We enjoyed the cabin on the lake! It was perfect for the 3 families: 6 adults and 9 kids ages 1-10! Each couple had their own bedroom and the kids enjoyed the bunk rooms. It was equipped with toys, playing cards and a sweet basket from the host with the fixings for s’mores. Very thoughtful.

This property was a great place for us. We had six adults and one two year-old and dogs! Plenty of space, great deck and the kitchen was perfect! we store our boats near Burnside and it was a nice easy pick up to go to Burnside or to Conley. We also spent nights at the fire pit which was wonderful. Definitely coming back to the spot!

This was my first time using VRBO. The cabin was spacious and they even had extra toiletries if needed. This was a nice touch, bc of course some of the guests forgot them. 🙂 Our only complaint is that there was a tiny cabin right next door that someone was staying in. I thought there would be a little more privacy. Also, there is no water access. I didn't realize that untiI I read another review. However, after exploring the area some, it looked like most houses did not have water access anyways. The host, Kate, was very responsive. When we left, an expensive bathing suit was left behind on accident. She offered to ship it without hesitation. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

My family and friends had such a great time at this lake house! Lots of space while being cozy too. From the great deck area to the wonderful fire pit with the amazing view the owner certainly knows how to please a crowd! The kitchen is VERY well equipped and roomy. Looking forward to going back and checking out the hiking around there in the fall.

House was beautiful. Great care went into making this house a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was our first time to lake Cumberland and so wasn’t sure what to expect. The lake was beautiful but was hard to access unless you had a boat. Staying at the property could only be improved on if there was access to the water from the house. Like a trail down to the water. Otherwise house and location was great in every other way!

Kate was amazing during this whole planning process, even suggesting activities and which marina would be best for our needs. The entire process was seamless. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed, and then some. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the little extras were such a thoughtful touch. The views from the fire pit and deck are gorgeous and there was plenty of furniture for all of us to sit outside together. Thank you so much for a beautiful vacation! We will definitely be back!

Great property that is more spacious than it appears in the photos. Beautiful fire pit location overlooking the lake. We had 9 people in our family and had plenty of space for everyone. It’s at the end of a dead end road overlooking the lake from above. There is no easy direct access to the lake, as it is very steep, but there is a marina relatively close.

The property was perfect for our group size (6 adults, 1 teen and dogs). We could all cook, eat and play games together in the large kitchen, patio and living room area. Bathrooms on every floor were amazing, everyone had their own! The natural, beautiful wood updates complimented the wooded surroundings. We took advantage of the outdoor fire pit and grill. It feels a little off the beaten path when first arriving, but offered complete privacy at the end of a dead end road. The space and amenities were absolutely perfect and Kate was a very attentive host, answering all our questions promptly and she made sure we didn't miss out on any activities for a busy memorial day weekend. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever traveling to the area. Thank you Kate!!

We loved this lake house. Perfect location; we had a lovely view of the lake. We were so close to it! The furnishings were warm and cozy, and the kitchen was an awesome surprise - so new and with everything we needed to cook some fun meals. There was plenty of room, Kate was super easy to deal with and responsive. This was a much-needed girls' trip and we felt safe and everything was spotless. We will be back.
