Right on the beach!
Also, the unit has its own chairs and umbrella on the beach. Very nice ones that are much better than rentals.
We lived the view from both the balconies. The size and configuration of the Palapa House fit my family perfectly.

The location to this home is perfect for a family vacation!!!! It was my husband and I my son and wife and daughter and my mom and stepdad, the distance from the house and beach made it perfect for them to join us on the beach as they can’t walk long distances which they really enjoyed. The house was perfect for cooking and going every night we were there that allowed us to spend more time on the beach and hanging out. The deck area is perfect for gathering at night over all a perfect location and space for a family of 7 to vacation we definitely plan to rent again!

First off we came into the home that drawers were falling apart and place was still dirty. Mold on window, all handles greasy, dust everywhere and much more. On the second and third day we found 2 HUGE roaches. There is even a dead one in the light fixture above the kitchen. We contacted management and their response was “roaches are common in Florida so there’s nothing we can do for you”. If you want to sleep with and bring home roaches stay here! Very poor management company.

The location was the best part of our experience! Unfortunately, everything else was very disappointing for such a beautiful home.

Pros: Great location and love that we were so close to the beach. It was truly accommodating to 11 people. Clean sheets and bathrooms.
Cons: hand soaps and containers were empty. Trash cans were full of trash when we first got there. The Keurig coffee pot barley worked and needs descaled. Needed a good dusting throughout the entire house. Looks as if it was a quick hit and miss job. We went to turn on ceiling fan and it was thick with dust. Had to clean before we could use. No extra sheets and blankets for pull out couch. The outside deck was a complete mess. The grill was nasty and wouldn’t work from all the grease built up. Beach toys and umbrellas were shoved anywhere they would fit. And last but not least, the very bottom patio with the wood planks were not really useful and prickly weeds have consumed it. Would love to say I would stay again but definitely needs improvement.

You literally cannot beat the location of this house, but I would definitely not recommend to book here. The TV remote in the living room wouldn’t work, even after changing the batteries and restarting the internet & TV. A guy came out to fix it and it worked for a few minutes, but stopped again. There were ants crawling in the sink and on the counter in the kitchen when we got there. The light in the fridge didn’t work. The light on the bottom deck didn’t work. I found a live cockroach in the upstairs bathroom. Last but not least….. there’s black mold on the air vent. 🙃 just a bit disappointed that we spent $2700 for 3 nights to stay in a house like this.

My family and I booked the Palapa House from March 16th to 18th. I am rating our stay as a two because it was the worst vacation stay we have ever experienced. The home was decorated nicely with various beach accents throughout, but it was not clean or disinfected. Upon arrival, the property smelled stale. It needed a deep cleaning and felt as if it had only been surface cleaned and did not meet Covid standards. It appeared that someone had only wiped down surfaces with a wet towel, changed the bedsheets, and straightened up. The refrigerator smelled horrible. The throw blankets around the property were not clean; they smelled of body odor. The sides of the toilets had not been wiped down and had noticeable brown residue. In addition, the mattresses were terrible, and the sofa bed had no sheets or blankets. Why did we pay a $300 cleaning fee for an unclean rental?
Also, we were not told beforehand that the "private beach" accesses our family was promised would be completely blocked off by construction. My family was forced to travel a few miles down the beach to access the water; not having this information beforehand was unacceptable and deceitful. We would have NEVER chosen this property had we been aware of the multiple peace and joy stealing activities taking place literally from every angle of the property. The little outdoor space where my children could have played was utilized constantly by several people drinking and playing games. We even had someone knock on the door at 2 am who appeared drunk and confused. One of my favorite things to do when my family stays at a beach house, or beach condo is to open the patio doors at night and listen to the sound of the waves as I rest peacefully. That was not even an option at this property due to the noise of construction and the possibility of drunk strangers walking in!
Overall, this was a terrible experience. Had my family and I not been so tired from the four-hour drive to the property and preoccupied with family activities scheduled the following day, I would have made more effort to take pictures and complain. I have never been so disappointed with a purchase in my life! A highly dissatisfied family robbed of a dream vacation.

I love this beach house; I could live there!! The view is awesome, the upper deck is awesome, the decor is awesome, the furnishings are comfortable! Lots of positives here!
We only had one negative that is really just personal, and most guests won't see this as an issue however, we would have preferred the bathroom for the upstairs bedroom to be connected, rather than separated.
Unfortunate for us, the weather was more like January rather than October, which didn't allow us to enjoy much time outside at the beach, but we did spend some time on the upper deck, soaking up the rays and listening to the tunes coming from the Condo next door.
I hope to be back soon!!

Our overall trip was good. Just a few things to help the next people who book this house. The bathrooms are small, which was fine for us, but may be difficult for a crowd. The house was nice and had nice furnishings. Very welcoming. Just needs some cosmetic touch ups here and there. There were no batteries in the Livingroom TV remote. Second Vacasa property we've stayed in that remotes are missing batteries. They should check this better between rentals. We swapped batteries and found that the Living room remote did not work fully, as the volume up button and channel up buttons did not work. Had to watch the football game in the bedroom. The stairway lights are on a sensor which is not ideal when you have people that get up throughout the night and the light comes on automatically.
Overall, we had a good time and had good neighbors in the adjacent house.

The property is between another house and a very busy motel. Parking was extremely tight. The kitchen drawer front was hanging off on one side and it took three days to get ahold of someone to fix it…The motel had karaoke at night till 11:00 pm and it was difficult for you to get any rest. The balcony furniture cushions were filled with sand flees as our son-in-law and grandson were covered in bites from sitting on the furniture. The house itself was not clean the bathroom was very dirty, as was the stove and cooking pans. The outside cabana for the house was always in use by people from the motel and we had to ask people to stay the bottom deck of the property. We enjoyed the beach, food and time together…however I would recommend that the owners inspect the property more frequently for cleanliness.

Location, Location, Location
The location is perfect! This property gives you the feel of being right in the middle of all the beach fun with the conveniences of a beach-front home. Even though the house is situated between condos, this property has unique amenities that make it feel like your own private oasis. The downstairs porch and hammock area are perfect for hanging out right on the beach while still providing some privacy. The house has 4 nice beach chairs & umbrella on the beach that are designated for use by Palapa House property renters. We had two different families ask about the property while we were there. We happily shared the rental agency (Vacasa) and house name with them, so hopefully they will be able to enjoy this property in the future. The only negative thing I would mention is the mattress on the upstairs bed sags in the middle and is overall not very comfortable. Otherwise, this was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience at PCB.

Review of Palapa House
First of all I would like to say that the house was beautiful, in a great location and right on the beach which was fantastic. It accommodated the 7 of us just fine. We did have a few issues upon arrival. When we pulled up to unload we noticed an awful smell but couldn't figure out what it was. We noticed that the 2 trash cans were full so we thought that's what it was. When we got in the house we noticed that the bathroom downstairs would not flush so I had to immediately call for a plumber. A guy did come out with a plunger but it did not work so he told us that his manager would have to come out the next day with something else. We arrived on Sunday 5/15/22 so that would have been Monday. To my knowledge no one came out. We continued to plunge and finally were able to flush for only a short while. I had to call once again to advise of the toilet situation and was advised again that someone would come out. I believe it was Wednesday when Brandon came out & was able to drain the tank 7 feet. The toilet only worked for maybe a couple hours then stopped back up & was unusable the rest of the trip. In the early morning hours on Tuesday our air went out. We all woke up hot. I had to call again. Someone came out & worked on our air all day long inconveniencing three of the guest staying in the room that had the air conditioner over the bed. They had to try & retrieve their items for the day w/ someone in their room working on the air conditioner. There was 2 gentleman in & out of the house all day. We did not get air until later that afternoon & it didn't completely cool until later that night because it reached 85 degrees while we tried to get dressed & go out for the day. Our downstairs toilet never worked the entire week except for maybe a couple hours. One day we all had to go to Winn Dixie to use the restroom due to both toilets being stopped up. There were 7 people staying in the house. The trash was not picked up on Monday so we had to stack our trash beside the cans. They finally picked it up the last day we were there which was on Thursday. The septic tank overflowed & we had to smell an awful smell everytime we walked to our cars. We couldn't use the beach chairs that were provided because they were buried in the sand. When I arrived home & checked my email I had an email from vacasa advising that my 2nd payment for the house had not been received. I looked at my credit card statement & it was deducted before we arrived. I spent alot of time on all the calls made due to the toilet & air conditioner, waiting on hold due to high call volumn.

This beach house is amazing. My family and I really enjoyed ourselves. You just can’t beat being right on the beach it was amazing. Additional the owner thought of everything there are plenty of extra pillows, sheets, blankets and beach towels. They really thought of everything. We will be staying here from now on, it is the perfect spot.

Great low key location
The house had plenty of room and was right on the beach. The Hamic, the Palapa, and the chairs that came with the house were a nice added bonus
