About this apartment rental

This large condo hotel suite offers stunning views of Mandalay Bay, Honeymoon Island, and Clearwater. It has space for 6 people with a King bed, Queen bed, and full-sized sofa bed. It also has 2 full bathrooms. The balcony is perfect for people watching in the street below and south, down Mandalay Ave. It is also one of the best places to view the annual Christmas Boat Parade around Island Estates and into Clearwater Marina.
Please note that the queen bedroom does not have a window.

Our guests also have exclusive access to our heated pool and bar located on the fifth floor, coffee lounge on the 2nd floor, as well as our gym (designed by world-renowned gym designer Danny Musico), beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and beach towels, as part of the resort fee of $35/night + tax charged at check-in. The unit includes full-sized kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher, and is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, and flatware. Also included are a full-sized washer and dryer and in-room safe. Should you need additional soaps, towels, or other items, or just need to know where to go for a good meal, our Reception Desk is staffed 24/7 for your convenience.

This brand-new building is just a short 10-minute walk from Pier 60, a great place for family-friendly activities, dining, and taking in incredible sunsets. Should you want to explore the area further, there is a Beach Trolley that stops in front of the hotel, as well as access to taxis, Uber, and Lyft.

Parking is available at the property (1 car per suite) a fee of $35.00/ daily will apply. If your party is bringing a second car, please contact the Hotel to find out availability. Charges may apply.

Daily pet fee of $85 + tax payable at check-in. Qualified ADA service dogs are exempt from the Pet fee

Cancellation Policy: If the guest cancels 14 days before arrival before 4:00 pm or earlier, they will be given a 100% refund. If the guest cancels within 14 days before arrival, they will get no refund. We know that things happen. Flight cancellations, changes in plans, and illness (including COVID) within the cancellation period will not be grounds for a full refund. Therefore, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect your travel investment.

We have made the Avalon a yearly vacation stop for our family! We love the proximity to the beach, restaurants, etc., and the staff is always super-friendly and helpful. The accommodations and amenities are wonderful, the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need, and the internet/TV services work flawlessly. You cannot go wrong here! Relatively new property. Clean and spacious hotel/condo accommodations as compared to standard hotel rooms which no longer work for our family of four with adult college kids. 2 bedrooms/2 baths/Full kitchen/Living room, and balcony facing Mandalay avenue. TV's in both bedrooms and the living room. Courteous staff, particularly Fernando. We took Uber to ALDI for basic grocery needs. You really do not need a car here. You can walk to Pier 60, the marina, restaurants, etc.. The beach is right behind the property. Beach front food joints are within walking distance. Try Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar, and Frenchy's Rockaway Grill. Clean crystal white sand and emerald green waters, unlike the seaweed infested beaches on the Atlantic coast. You pay resort fees here, but this is not a resort in terms of folks carrying your chairs and umbrellas to the beach for you, and bringing you exquisite libations on demand. Chairs and umbrellas are complimentary but you do beast of burden duties yourself. I found the sandbars in the water here quite interesting. You can be relatively far from the shore, indeed past the swimming limit buoys, and still be only knee deep in the water. Not sure whether those sandbars are natural, or man-made. I walked on the beach from Pier 60, passed Caladesi island, to Hurricane Pass where I could see Honeymoon Beach on the other side of the pass. A total of a little more than 10 miles both ways. This is to say that this is quite a stretch of beach.

Easy location to get to the beach. They have beach chairs and umbrellas that can be checked-out for the day. Which is one less thing you have to pack. Full kitchen makes it easy to cook your own meals. You’re also just right down off the strip, so there are plenty of places to choose to eat from. The front desk staff were always very nice and sociable. No complaints at all.

Location was easy walk to everything we needed food and entertainment wise. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Apartment was clean and had a nice setup for a family of three. Teenage daughter had her own space. Building was new and well kept. Bedrooms were comfortable with good mattresses and pillows. My only small concerns were the living room furniture was not comfortable at all for an evening of movie watching, gathering or hanging out. And the walls are paper thin. Was woken up several times during our 4 nights from loud groups coming back to the rooms around us. Anywhere from 2-4am which is maybe to be expected on a popular vacation area. Still a good spot overall and would recommend for the price considering surrounding prices. Thanks again for the stay!

We had a short stay here for only 3 nights but had the best time. Already planning a trip for next year for a full week. The property was clean, the staff was lovely and it’s a great location! Nothing bad to say at all! We loved our stay here!

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. It was an easy to get towels, chairs and umbrellas. The beach is right behind the hotel and takes less than a minute to walk there with a shower right off the beach entrance. Beach was clean and the water was so warm. The sun is intense, so bring a lot of sunscreen. It was a safe area, and we felt comfortable with our 2 teen girls going out on their own around the hotel area / beach. You don’t need to rent a car. The shopping and restaurant area is a 5 minute walk from the hotel with plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. We took Ubers to/from the airport and they cost around $40 each way. I did take the Jolly Trolley the first day to Publix. It’s only $2.25 to ride one way, but the rotation of the trolleys is every 45 minutes. Use the app to time it right and see the location before you head out. The only disappointing thing about the hotel was that they don’t recycle. Coming from an area where we recycle nearly everything, it did not feel right to throw plastic and cardboard into the trash. Great place to stay and I would stay again.

The property was in a great location and was immaculately clean! It had all the necessary amenities, including beach chairs and towels, a gym, a pool and a bar in the evening. The condo had a great kitchen, a washer and dryer, a little vacuum to sweep up from sandy feet and 2 balconies. We were 2 couples and the rooms were wonderful except one had no window, but for sleeping that wasn't really a problem. We can't wait to go back!

Really nice condo, very clean. Great location. Will stay here again. Only issues I had was when I asked the the young lady with glasses at the front desk for a bottle water she told me no, she said only two per room. I said I would pay for them and she said no. Kind of ridiculous as they cost .50 a bottle and I was paying over $1400 for my stay. In addition, the resort fee was $175, that’s for amenities, which we did not use any. Everyone else besides the young girl at the front desk with the glasses and freckles was very accommodating, giving Q cups when needed paper towels, etc.

Easy walk to beach & restaurants, easy check out beach chairs etc, pool bar and pool area very nice. (Pool a little on small side, but never overcrowded when we were there). Plenty to do in Clearwater beach area. Went with multiple families with various age groups and location worked well. Unit was immaculately clean, full kitchen.

Great size for the 3 of us. We appreciated that there were laundry pods and dryer sheets available, 2 free bottles of water, daily towel service, full size washer and dryer, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Things that would have been nice to have: 1) a full length mirror 2) throw pillows and throw blankets for getting cozy on the couch and chairs. 3) softer light bulbs in the lamps for more soothing light in the evening.

The room was exactly as listed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is clean, roomy and modern. I would suggest only 4 adults maximum due to limited seating in the unit. The only complaints were that the livingroom furniture was uncomfortable, and there are no outside food or drinks allowed at the pool. This was a problem since the bar didn't have anyone scheduled to work it until 1:30pm daily. We were there in 90° plus heat, and there's nowhere else to get food on the premise unless you go back to your room to eat. The Avalon is located 4 blocks from where the action starts and there are 2 great bar/restaurants open for lunch and dinner within 2 blocks. There is a shuttle service and a trolley that runs along the resort area.
