We arrived at the rental between 8pm-8:30pm and after unloading & showering, we went to bed around 9pm. Within minutes of being in bed I was bitten at least 3x by something. I got up, checked the bed, and took 13 different pictures of the bugs in the bed. Being late, I was grossed out but went to the couch where I found MORE bugs and food in the cushions. My grandson said he was being bitten also. It was late and we eventually just slept until 3:30am when we couldn’t take it anymore. We packed up and left.

Very lovely. I was initially concerned about access to the home due to prior reviews, but the owner provided instructions in the email and the front drive ((which is very steep)) was roped off to assist with driver confusion. Just make sure to read your email in full, pass by the front of the home, follow the winding road down the mountain, and turn left at the stop sign (I believe 38th?). To be clear, this place is not handicap accessible & anyone who has a hard time with steep flights of stairs should avoid. The black steep staircase at the rear of the home leds to the guest area. Owner, Dennis, lives below. The driveway is a tad tricky but not impossible and Dennis was onsight ready to assist with any questions we had. The rental itself is lovely and as described. I saw other reviews discussing ants but my husband and I did not see any insect issue inside of the home. It was clean and cozy. It was also located just around the corner from a fabulous little Italian restaurant called, Giardino's. The only reason I gave a 4/5 stars for the neighborhood would be the concern I had regarding some of the surrounding homes. Some are large mansions at the top of the hill but others aren't as maintained. A few had bars on doors and windows, and we noted 24 hour surveillance signs posted at residences (including this vrbo) too, which made us wonder about crime in the area. However, while we were there we had zero incidents & a wonderul stay! We would absolutely recommend to others.

The property was as described. Great outdoor space to hang out and watch the squirrels. We had an issue with the AC but the host quickly returned our call and got it taken care of. This is a great place to stay!

This was a family girls trip for the weekend and the property looked great from the listing. There were a few things that bothered us. First, there was no mention on the listing about not using the driveway. Apparently there was supposed to be a rope that kept us from using it, but we didn’t see that because it was laying on the ground. That was a crazy ordeal, but luckily the owner helped us get our truck back up the driveway. The steps going up to the house are very steep and didn’t feel safe. Inside the house, was nice until we noticed all the bugs and ants everywhere. It was raining when we got there and noticed the window by the front door was leaking water. Also, the vent in the kitchen looked like it had insulation coming out of it. Fixing those issues would make this house a good place to stay.
