About this apartment rental
Massive unit at the awesome Daytona Beach Resort. Enjoy a walk on the beach (current access is next to building), rent an electric bike onsite or check-out one of our local dining spots. Unit is located minutes from Daytona Beach dining and nightlife and across the street from the grocery store. The condo has two queen beds, a sleeper sofa, living room, fully stocked kitchen and a balcony overlooking the ocean. Enjoy coffee as the sunrises or watch the sunset over the intracoastal. Unit is direct oceanfront.

Provided: 3 rolls toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap (small bottle), 1 roll paper towels, 1 trash bag per bin.
Outdoor pool area and beach access were damaged by hurricane so until that is fixed guests will be refunded all resort fees.
This is a non-smoking unit-we don't care what you smoke, just do it outside. Any smoke smell in home or evidence of smoking in home will result in complete loss of security deposit. If you smoke in the home, it both is unfair to the owner that is working hard to keep their unit nice and to the next guest that rented a smoke-free home. It's Florida, this is non-negotiable so please understand.
As a guest of Salty Dog Vacations, you will be part of the Resort VIP Package which offers numerous benefits. During Fall 2022 the outdoor pool area will be being renovated due to damage by Hurricane Ian. Indoor amenities are open, however, all guests will be refunded their resort fees during this time.
We have our cleaners thoroughly clean and sanitize the home between each guest. We also ask our guests to please do the following at check-out (note, if this upsets you please simply find another location as there is a massive labor shortage, we frequently have guests ask for early or late check-in/out and this is how we are able to make things smooth for all guests. Please note our check out instructions:
1. Strip all beds used and pillows and put sheets, pillow covers and used towels in a pile in center of room or on beds for beds used.
2. Turn off all lights, fans can be left on.
3. Turn off TVs, coffee makers and other electronics.
4. All dishes should cleaned of old food.
5. Return any books, games, beach items, etc (beach items should be rinsed outside to get rid of any excess sand).
7. Empty any outdoor ashtrays, clean up any cigarette butts.
8. Empty all food from refrigerator (you can leave never opened beverages and used condiments if you wish) put in outside trash and make sure trash is on curb Sun night or Wed night.
9. Make sure keys are left ($50 per key replacement) and garage remote and/or parking pass left on counter ($100 replacement fee).
10. Wipe down countertops and leave home the way you found it.
11. Turn A/C to 78 degrees prior to departure.
12. Drive or fly home safely and come back and see us soon!

We work really hard to keep the unit fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We are fun and laid back company and our owners only want to host others that are also fun or laid back. We have done everything we can think of to make this unit an awesome beach retreat and we want you to have the best time ever but we'd love to hear your suggestions, too.
Smoking: We take this very seriously. We don't care what you smoke, just go outside to do it. We don't mess around with this, you will lose your deposit and incur damage fees for us having to have everything (curtains, furniture, etc) cleaned if you smoke anything in the house or if you smoke near doors or windows and the smoke smell gets in the house. It's a non-negotiable so please just go outdoors to smoke and away from the doors. It's Florida so being outside enjoying the sunshine or watching one of our amazing storms can be fun!
Lastly: Everyone at our company (staff and owners) really loves helping people make great vacation memories. We are human and travel too, and we try to look for the good not the bad when vacationing. The point of telling you that is that this is an awesome unit and we work really hard on it, but things can and will happen. We don't know when the microwave will break (if it does we will replace it) or if a Florida palmetto bug will sneak in the house (we are located in Florida which is a jungle..the unit is treated for pests but sometimes they will sneak in and there is nothing we can do about it). Every unit is professionally cleaned prior to check-in but if our cleaners miss something just give us a call and we will send them right back out to fix it. If things like that would bother you, then we may not be the place for you. These are things that we have experienced as well at vacation rentals while travelling and we roll with the punches and have fun. We are not in this business to be a hotel, we have a fun place for guests to stay with friends and family that is fairly priced.. if you are uptight or looking for perfection we aren't the place for you. If you are ready for fun in the sun with friends and family, adorable decor and a management company that will respond if you do happen to have any issues...book away and get ready to vacay! We've been doing this awhile and are just over uptight people that look for reasons to complain when they should be enjoying their beach vacation. We can't wait to welcome fun and happy people to our beach town.
Damage Waiver Disclaimer:
I. AGREEMENT
On behalf of Salty Dog Vacations, LLC, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below and waives Your security deposit up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.
Waivo is hereby responsible for theft or direct damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions. Waivo will pay the lesser of the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to $2,500. This waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.
This is not an agreement to provide insurance. You are buying a waiver of the security deposit otherwise due as part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.
II. EXCLUSIONS
This Security Deposit Waiver will not pay for damages or theft resulting from:
1. Acts of God
2. Prior damage, cosmetic damage, or normal wear and tear
3. Theft without a valid police report if over $250
4. Loss of use of the vacation rental property
5. Rodent, termite, infestation, or wild animal
6. Damage to a motorized vehicle
7. Fine art, collectibles, or sets of items
This Waiver will not pay for damage or theft of property owned by You.
This Waiver will not pay for costs associated with odor, debris removal, backups of sewers and drains, landscaping, marring, maintenance, or mechanical breakdown.
III. CONDITIONS
Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs, and eligibility for the waiver, and shall exercise that authority in a reasonable manner.
Waivo reserves the right to determine if damage is eligible for reimbursement at actual cash value.
This Waiver will pay for excessive cleaning, as a direct result of damage, over and above the normal cleaning fee. An irreparable stain or spillage is considered damage.
This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay, of up to 90 days, for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.
This Waiver is only effective if any theft or damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 14 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.
Waivo will not respond to damage or theft under $50 US dollars.
If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.
IV. DEFINITIONS
You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person the renter invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay at the vacation rental property.

My husband (65) and I (60) stayed in this unit 8 nights in mid-June 2024.
The unit is as described. Very clean, the kitchen is well supplied, many water toys are in the unit (from pails & shovels to boogie boards), board games, books, etc. Two washers & two dryers on each floor - service desk have rolls of quarters.
One of the 2 unopened, outside pools is below the unit. The area looks like it’s mid-construction but apparently it’s been like that for 2+ years. It is still an amazing view.
In spite of those blips we would definitely stay in this unit again. We had a wonderful vacation!

The sofa bed was broken in the first unit. We got moved to a second unit. Both units were very musty on arrival, but both improved with lowering the AC is expecting guests, the AC should be turned down beforehand. All the pools were out of order still which no one notified us about on booking. There were only enough towels to shower with. There were no extra towels or beach towels. The restaurants weren’t open in the hotel. There was a steep charge for extra towels, or we could pay to do our own laundry. Overall, the quality of this hotel has decreased over the years and we won’t be using it anymore

Perfect little condo for a small group
The room was exactly what we needed space wise. We had the perfect view of the beach and pool. We did have an issue at checkin where the resort hadn’t received the email of our arrival and it took nearly 30 minutes to get checked in and their parking garage is closed due to structural damage so we had to park almost a quarter of a mile away the first couple days till they opened a closer lot. But we did love the room. Only thing I would think about upgrading is the cooktop because it was barely hot enough to cook on. Luckily there was a electric skillet in the room so we could use that for making breakfast. Host was super helpful when I asked questions and when I called to let them know the resort hadn’t gotten our reservation.

Everything went smooth
Everything went smooth from the check in to the departure rooms were better than the pictures. all the pools /hot tubs/ weight room were open. the owner of the property was easy to contact through our stay. there was only one issue with Parking that was the fault of the city of Daytona beach but they tried to find parking for all the guests just a few doors down

Beautiful all around!
From check-in to check-out, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was lots to do right on the property and close enough to walk! Would definitely stay again.

Pools and beach!
Two clean pools that were very easy to get to and from all day.
Ocean was quick walk downstairs, too.
Inside pool was decent when weather interfered (only swam in once).
Place was clean and as described.
Beds were comfortable in the bedroom.
TVs worked well.
Balcony was perfect to enjoy morning coffee, watch the sunrise, and read in the evening.
Oceanview was wonderful.
Supplied toys for sand and towels for beach.
Kitchen well-stocked.
Cons:
Bathroom was small and vent leaked.
Kitchen only had dishwasher pods, but no dishwasher.
Stovetop wasn't working well (took forever to boil water).
Overall, would definitely recommend. Staff was beyond friendly and accommodating!

The room ceiling was dripping sewer water from upstairs unit, had sheetrock all over bathroom. It never got fixed, then ice machine wasn't working. Only 4 bath towels for 6 ppl room. Was not a really nice room that I paid for.

Gorgeous view!
We got off to a poor start arriving after 3pm and unit had not been cleaned. This condo is in a resort containing lots of condos. However, this one has been sold to an individual who rents it out. Therefore, the lobby check in desk is of limited use. There is a separate # to call to summon off site service. They were very responsive however. The condo was clean and was comfortable, although a bit "tired." Beds were amazing! No dishwasher, no oven. The view is GORGEOUS! Balcony comfortable and shady. No smoking allowed anywhere on premises, thank goodness. All in all, we had a nice comfortable stay.
