Just pay extra and go with a different place or company. This place has potential of being a great rental. For starters the car port was flooded right where you need to get up the steps so you’re walking into the house with soaking wet feet. When we got to the top of the steps to get into the house we were smacked in the face with an AWFUL smell that didn’t go away for a few days. We walked in and right away smelled dog pee on the rug at the door. Rugs or carpet shouldn’t be in dog friendly places. We saw dog hair balls rolling around on the floor and picked up one rug due to the smell and had so much dirt under it. The futon in the living room is just like sitting on a sheet of paper with wood slats under it. Your family only has ONE couch to sit on. The house gives you NO beach vibes. The grass was so high in the front and back and didn’t get mowed until days after we checked in and complained about it. We were told someone was going to be done about the place and our issues and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE reached out to handle our issues. I suggest going with a different place if you want the right beach vibes and a comfort place.

We loved this house! Tons of space for clothes & beach supplies. We had our dog (50 lbs) and he had plenty of space for his dog bed, and to run around a bit in the backyard. Wifi hits the backyard which made remote work very enjoyable. Quick walk to the intercostal. Management/ owners were very communicative.

My wife and I went on a short vacation to the outer banks. This was the perfect place to stay. Conveniently located and had everything we would need at home. Plus, It is cheaper than a hotel. Will definitely use again.

We visited the area for a weekend to celebrate my wife’s and I’s honeymoon. When walking into the home there was a musty smell. The bathroom had a bit of hair around the sink and toilet. The place was ok for 2 nights but I wouldn’t say longer. It didn’t have many plates or cups, the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the couch had lots of stains. Also the price for two night was way too much .

House is close to the beach and near any store you would need to go to. The house was clean when we arrived. This is our second stay at this property, the first time we had to go tot he store and purchase trash bags, laundry detergent etc. this time everything was stocked.

Neighborhood, but privacy was not an issue

We’ve booked this home in the past because of the location and neighborhood. The home is decent and has what you need.

Very clean and fresh! Simple furnishings and oh so comfy. Beds and pillows were plush. Kind of down feathery. The living area is quite comfy as well. The location is neighborly. Quite relaxing when we stayed about the home.

Great location, comfortable bed, clean.

we have young toddlers, and honestly, this location was great because it was very baby proofed. There wasn’t a bunch of things for them to get into and it was a smaller space so we could keep an eye on them, which was great The only thing that I found challenging was that there was minimal silverware dishes, plates, and cups, other than that, everything was clean and great. We loved our stay

Close to everything.. relatively quiet neighborhood.. rented it for the rods and customs show, got a little pissed when the guy showed up to cut the grass/weeds for some reason mid day Saturday kicking up dust and debris around our cars and the neighbors classic as well..even though it was very evident the grass had not been cut in awhile..it was knee high in the back ..and the , housekeepers /cleaners didn't show up till 3:45 on check out day...that's no reflection on the house, that's a reflection on the property manager...I will use house again next year

Property is clean and functional for a weekend get away. Backyard needs some work but liked the fenced in area.

We loved our stay here! The house was so clean and well laid out. We were able to just kick back and relax after a very very long day in the car and the house is so well located to everything that it was easy to go and do and come back and go and do some more things! We will definitely be back as well as telling our friends about it as well!

The house was very cozy and comfortable. For anyone planning to stay, I would just recommend bringing extra blankets!

This little home was great for our small family of three and a dog. We loved the porch and fenced-in backyard with firepit! The kitchen was adequate for cooking our meals (bring your own condiments). To make your stay the best, we suggest bringing your own pillows, extra blanket, and room deodorizer (pet odor). The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful but close to everything and beaches, just what we needed for a vacation. The price fits the home well.

I totally enjoyed my stay here at this house. Someone else had comment the beds were comfortable and they are which is important to me. I wish I’d know they didn’t have a dishwasher. That was the only thing because it only gives you like four sets of anything, so you have to wash dishes quite a bit. the neighborhood is very quiet and it seems like some year-round people live there which made me feel safe. It’s in a great location two seconds from target and not very touristy part of the town. The only thing is it does say it’s a dog friendly house when you first walk and you do smell a little bit of dog, but it kind of went away pretty quickly , can’t say they didn’t warn us with the title. I will say when I first got there on the first day the handle on the shower broke and I sent them a picture and they were there within like 20 minutes and fixed it. So I think that was very awesome , I would definitely book again. great place for a family afford to stay. I spent a lot of time on the porch. It was very nice.

Overall not a bad place to stay. Dead cockroach under the bed. Dust and pet hair all over the house that could have been easily vacuumed up by cleaning staff.

The inside has been totally updated and was totally clean when we arrived. The yard was fenced in for our dogs as advertised. We loved sitting out on the front balcony porch.

It was neat and clean. Loved the front balcony porch to sit on and the yard was totally fenced in as advertised for my dogs. Perfect house if you have 1 or 2 dogs traveling with you. We would book this again. Thank you.

The location and size of the house was great for us. We liked the fenced in yard for our dog and beach chairs available. The only things that we disliked was the bed was hard for my liking and to lock the door when u left was complicated.

It's not a big flashy vacation home but more of a home away from home

This house was in a good location not too far from the beach and attractions but in a nice neighborhood

Pretty nice little place. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to the beach and sound. As for the canoe/kayak, you're too far away to hand carry it so you better have a way to get it to the sound.

House was super clean and perfect for the three of us. Kitchen was great for cooking in for breakfast and lunches. Only improvement would be a toaster oven over the two slice toaster. Beds were super comfortable. Futon in living room left a lot to be desired- so don’t plan on more than four people staying in the house. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate this week so we didn’t get to take advantage of the fire pit or porch much. Definitely one of the best VBRO houses I’ve stayed at!

We were able to visit most of the top sites and the neighborhood is nice. Note this property is pet friendly and that leaves risk for odor and pet hair.

Perfect central location to visit everything the outer banks has to offer! Close to public beach parking and great restaurants. Our host was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely book again.

Property is halfway between the bay and the ocean as well as easy access to lots of activities. The place was simple and functional. When a small thing happened it was hard to know who to contact in the moment (& emailed questions took 2 weeks to get a response)

Nice, clean place with a GREAT location!
This is a nice house in a great location. The house was very clean and had a nice, open floor plan. There are two decks to enjoy as well as a fire pit.

Low-Key and Good Location Retreat
The property was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed our stay. The walking distance to the sound for scenic sunsets and the close proximity to everything else you need while in the OBX makes it nice. We brought our dog and the property is good for those looking to bring their dog to the beach. The only negative comment would be to replace or have the couch deep cleaned. Everyone in the house who sat on the couch had allergy symptoms and would be sneezing, had watery/itchy eyes, etc. Keep the porch lights and downstairs lights off at night, the mosquitoes are thick as well! Perhaps a mosquito treatment of the property would be beneficial! Overall good. Thank you. Would stay again.

Just Okay
Fence was not very secure, broken dryer, loose and squeaky bathroom door, place was not clean/very dusty/dog hair tumbleweeds under the couches, bathtub slow to drain, no recycle bin, yellowed pillows, smelly blankets.

Fenced back yard, walking distance to the sound.

November vacation
Propertyis well maintained and in great condition. The toilet has a habit of getting stuck and running until you mess with it a little. Neighborhood is well off the main drag but is still a short drive to several park and beach areas. Neighbors are a little loud on occasion but nothing disruptive.
