Staying Salty is a newly renovated home with modern southern charm nestled in Old Seagrove. This 6-bedroom, 4.5 bath home sits back on a large lot on a quiet street shaded by live oak and magnolia trees. This home comes with 6 adult Beach Cruisers. Backing to a quiet canal provides guests with a retreat from busy 30A while still enjoying walkable access to the beach and Seaside. The home just added a new private pool for when it is time to come home from the beach, but the kids still want to swim.
This home is perfect for families, girl's trips or couples looking for time away. There are two living spaces with the primary on the second floor with an open floor plan to the kitchen, dining and wet bar and a secondary living space on the ground floor that is a perfect gathering spot for kids or adults. The open floor plan upstairs has a large screened in patio that can open up to the living room during good weather. Kitchen is fully equipped with Thor appliances including a double oven with six gas burners and griddle. Dining table includes seating for 8 plus 5 stools at the breakfast bar. The wet bar includes an ice maker perfect for packing up your beach ice chests or filling your cocktail glasses. An upstairs deck off the living room includes a Weber grill with easy access to the kitchen and screened in patio. Kid friendly dinnerware is also provided.
All living spaces including screened in patio and bedrooms (not including bunk rooms) have a TV and WiFi is provided throughout the home. A large fenced in backyard is located off the back porch and a screened in porch is located off the mud room with plenty of hooks for towels and swimsuits.
Staying Salty comes with 6 adult beach cruiser bikes and is golf cart friendly (additional adult bikes, kids bikes and/or golf cart rental recommendations are available upon request). Seaside’s restaurants, shops and family events are a short walk or bike ride away. Onsite parking for up to 6 vehicles.

The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very clean.
I was more than happy with the location.

When we arrived the main floor (master suite, kitchen & living area) was extremely warm and we realized the AC was not working. I called the maintenance number and texted the management company. Neither were quick to respond, and nobody ever called me. A maintenance man showed up and eventually I got a text letting me know the AC could not be fixed for a few days. I requested a new place and the management company got us into a great home the next day around 3pm. This was all done via text. I understand these things happen, but the AC was clearly out before we arrived and whoever was last in the home doing the "inspection" had to have known because it was over 80 degrees! They let us check in anyway and go through all the hassle and frustration, etc. In the end they provided us a house we loved and we had a great time. But the hassle with this home cost us an entire day of our vacation.

Loved the location and set up. Great for two families. We rented in October so the home needed a light cleaning when we arrived, but was in good shape overall. Home needs more oven pans especially ones that will fit in small oven. Golf cart and pool were filthy, but if those things were attended to then it would have been perfect.

Everything about this property is top-notch and the managers are wonderful--we loved having this space to relax after a long day with writers for the Longleaf Writers Conference and hope we can return next year!

This is a fantastic vacation rental home! Plenty of room for larger family groups. It was very clean, updated, comfortable and well maintained. Be warned that you are in a neighborhood and neighbors have very little patience with teenagers or noise of any kind.

We had a great stay here and the house was close to perfect for our small family. We anticipated a couple more people for our stay and they weren’t able to make it, so we didn’t use a few bedrooms.
The kitchen had everything you might need to cook a nice meal and was very large. The bar area with ice machine was also convenient. The only drawback is that the kitchen is on the 2nd floor so you have to haul groceries and other items up the stairs.
The outdoor areas were nice with a private backyard, although we spent most of our outside time at the beach.
While the house is on a quiet street, you have to backtrack a bit to get going towards the Seaside Square and beach area. This makes walking there questionable, but an easy bike ride (bikes provided were fairly nice and usable unlike some houses)
Overall, very pleased with our stay and would recommend!

Wonderful Home!
Overall this home was perfect for our trip. We had mostly teenagers with us and the location was just a short bike ride to the beach or the square. Communication with management company was excellent. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

We had the best stay! With 4 babies under the age of 1, some toddlers and a pre teen, we had plenty of room for everyone! We did rent golf carts to move around more easily with all the things we need for the beach but we made the walk from the beach and the city center multiple times with ease, great location. Management was extremely accommodating with our requests and made the trip super easy with all our little ones. We would love to return.

The setup of the house was perfect for our needs. However, we had issues with the A/C and had a leaking/spewing bathroom faucet, which needed maintenance to be called daily. Communication with the management company was fantastic, kudos to Michael and his team! We were surprised that the house was not within the Watercolor HOA, being from out of town we were unaware of boundary lines when booking, or even how any of it worked. It would be great if the listing stated that the house was not within a Watercolor amenity access location. Having small children, we specifically booked this property due to the close proximity to Camp Watercolor and it's pools. We made due and had a good trip. Knowing what I know now about the area and it's communities, I feel the listing needs to be more clear on what amenities are included and most importantly what is not. The proximity to the beach was great.

Great backyard!
The property was fabulous. We especially loved the outdoor areas. We spent most of our time between the porches and the backyard. We loved not having a neighbor behind us.
I would let potential renters know that the bunkroom on the 2nd. floor is more suited to younger children not teenagers.

We loved this house, tons of room! Open kitchen and lots of room for kids to spread out into a room downstairs, the screened in porch and a great backyard, we actually saw two deer one morning. I think the walk to the beach is about 10-11 minutes, not 5, which was disappointing with 7 kids walking back and forth.
