There is nothing quite like this luxury condo situated above the retail area of 'The Landing'. The Landing complex is the perfect proximity to shopping, parks, restaurants, promenade, Avila Beach pier, while the beach and sand are only 300 feet away!
Enjoy this comfortable and contemporary beach condo built in 2009. The amenities include: travertine floors, leather style furniture, 2 fireplaces, stainless steel appliances, plantation shutters, dutch door, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, skylights and spacious balcony deck w/ seating. This unit is on the second level, above commercial space. No smoking or pets are allowed.

Clean, convenient and customer service made my stay perfect.
The rental was spotless.
The location, just a block from the beach, made it easy to get out and enjoy the amazing Avila area.
And the hosts went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I had a question with the heat, and they were on site in minutes to help and fix.

Beautiful beachside apartment with charming dining and shopping options within a short walk. Property was very clean and management office is nearby w/free beach towel loaners! Living room furniture (chair) was worn/in need of replacement, but overall we loved our stay and would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway.

Great one bedroom apartment with easy access to the parking garage and the shops. Also very clean and comfortable. The management company is around the corner and so sweet if you need anything. On Friday nights they have food stands and a band on the promenade which was so fun!

I've been traveling to the coast of California for over twenty years now and have decided that Avila Beach is my favorite home away from home. We've stayed at a couple of places in this area, and this condo was terrific. Small, but has all you need to enjoy a beach and beach town vacation. We were steps from the beach, restaurants, shaved-ice vendors (my son's fave!), bike rentals, and the Bob Jones bike path and we wanted for nothing inside of the condo either. My husband and I stayed in the comfortable bedroom and our 11 year old son slept on the pull out couch just fine. When we come back to Avila - and we certainly will - we will look to see if this place is available!

Perfect little spot close to the beach and promenade. A little snug for a family of four, but workable. We have an infant and toddler. The location made it easy to run back and forth to the beach or out for food. There was actually a new wall mounted AC unit, which was nice. There are a few art shops below that we barely heard. Nice and quiet. The garage was nice and big (room for mid sized SUV with cargo rack on top). It allowed us to leave our beach chairs, toys and towels down there. Close to SLO restaurants, breweries and wineries too. Loved the unit and town.

40th Anniversary Stay
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. A couple of negatives we encountered: the patio and its furniture was soiled with bird droppings, the toilet seat was loose, we couldn't get the cable box in the bedroom to turn on and the smoke detector in the bedroom is hanging from the ceiling; all things easy to correct for the next guest.

great weekend getaway
The place was located right off of the main boardwalk in Avila Beach. Location couldn't really have been better, although the listing should point out that there is no ocean view and that the townhouse/condo is right above a busy shaved ice store. But overall my wife and I really enjoyed out stay and would definitely stay there again

The location is even better than we thought when booking. Not only is the unit barely a block from the beach, we didn't even need to cross a street to get there.
The high ceilings make the unit feel spacious. It's nice and bright. We were very happy and would love to stay again.

An alley away!
Perfect escape for a family of 4. Couch pull out bed. Both our girls (2,4) had a great time. Easy walk through alley gets you to the beach in no time. Was clean, and well put together. Small parking structure wouldn’t fit our suburban, no worries though theres plenty of spots to keep your larger vehicles on the side street. Overall great experience.

Wonderful Get-away
My husband and I had a wonderful five-night visit at this property. It was very clean and well-stocked. The location is as good as the listing says - it is down a passageway to get to restaurants and shops, and about half a block from the beach. The apartment is nice-looking, with high ceilings and plantation shutters.
There are a couple of things I would like to mention. One is that there is a lot of noise from people talking from mid-afternoon to about 6:30pm every day, at least in summer when we visited. There is a shave ice shop directly below the unit. There is no air conditioning so the window need to be open. We were cool enough with the windows open and the fans on, however we could hear every conversation below. Because there is brick and buildings with little to absorb noise, it sounded as though people were right outside the open windows even though they were down one story. This wouldn't be a problem if you were gone to the beach every afternoon, but it would if you had a baby napping or you wanted to hang out at the unit. The garbage truck also is very loud at 6am on Thursday morning and there was some kind of motor at 7am on Friday that woke us up. Leaf blowing at 9am every day, and motorcycles and large trucks drive by. The noise may not be an issue in seasons where the windows are shut but it got unbearably hot very quickly when we shut the windows.
Another thing I'd like to mention is that the description says "luxury". That set our expectations a little higher than this rental could deliver. Everything was fine, but the towels and sheets were normal (not luxury), there was a polyester blanket, the bath supplies were Dove, the furniture was fake leather (it says that in the description), there is no air conditioning, there is not enough room in the bedroom to put an open suitcase on the floor, the outdoor furniture is rusting, and there is no barbeque or beach towels (the listing doesn't promise these things). The garage is a short walk away and suitcases have to be carried up a flight of stairs. It was fine and in good shape, but not what I consider luxury. Maybe that's just me but I wanted to set your expectations appropriately so you won't be disappointed.
All in all, we thought it was well worth the price charged, which is why I am giving it five stars. It was fun to be in the middle of everything and not have to drive.
