Sparked from a passion for fine spirits and the idea that a home can contain all the makings to craft the perfect cocktail, the Rickhouse was born. Featuring chesterfield leather seating, a vast collection of cocktail glasses, regulated 4-tier humidor and spirits-centric art, it strikes the perfect match of comfort and eccentricity.
NuLu (New Louisville) is known for its stylish bars, splashy art, unique goods and an ever-growing number of the best new local eateries. Your house is located one street behind the main strip, so walking to the heart of NuLu is less than 5 minutes!
The Bourbon Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ full bath right outside the door. This bedroom contains custom built bourbon barrel walls, sourced from Kentucky’s finest distilleries.
The Sotol Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ connected full bath. This bedroom features Sotol (AKA the Desert Spoon) - a clear spirit primarily crafted in Mexico and was introduced to us by way of Texas distillery, Desert Door.
The Rickhouse has a fully fenced backyard with a patio, grill and fire pit. We supply the charcoal and firewood (when in season).
Free street parking is available directly in front of the house. Whether you prefer walking, biking, scooter-ing or Uber-ing, there's so much to do and see around you - and lots of ways to get there.

My husband and I and another couple came to Louisville and stayed here for a weekend and it was wonderful. It was a weekend filled with bourbon tasting and eating at local restaurants and we thoroughly enjoyed our downtime at the Rickhouse. From spending time in the backyard to enjoying coffee on the comfortable chairs and sofa, this is a perfect accommodation! Very comfortable and outfitted with great quality bedding, toiletries, and a full kitchen - including any bar accessories you might need to create a cocktail! We enjoyed delicious coffee provided by the owners. Hope to return for another weekend! Thank you for your attention to detail.

This place far far far exceeded our expectations. Hosts are the absolute easiest and understanding I’ve ever worked with. The decorations put us in the Louisville spirit immediately. The local coffee, cocktail mixers, and whiskey cubes were unbelievable touch to make us feel right at home.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you’re in Louisville- stay here!

The property was wonderful! We really enjoyed the backyard and the ability to smoke cigars. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the softness and smell of the bathroom towels. Awesome details from barware to even makeup remover wipes! It was within walking distance to several restaurants, distilleries, microbreweries and shops. We had a great time and would stay here again.

The Rickhouse was the icing on our cake trip. The hosts were so wonderful. Recommendations and communication were spectacular. We loved NuLu! Being about to leave this space and walk a few blocks to the action is my favorite way to explore a new place. This checked all our boxes and then some. Can’t wait to visit again.

Had a great time in and around Louisville. Property was everything that was advertised. Had a small plumbing issue which was immediately resolved by the property owner. Loved the home. Would stay here again.

Enjoyed the outdoor seating. We really had no complaints. The living and kitchen area was comfortable and easy. If we get back to that area, we would try to book the same place.

Charming, beautiful appointed , and every tool needed to make a proper cocktail! Beds were super comfy, loved the outdoor fire pit and having a beautiful comfy space to hang out with friends was perfect for our visit. The neighborhood was slightly more transitional than we expected but the overall the location is fabulous. Kenzie was super helpful with recommendations. Hope to return soon!!

This property looks exactly like the pictures. Super cool on the inside! The only thing that caught us off guard was the neighborhood. It definitely looks like it’s going through a rebuild process. Other than that, it’s really close to NuLu and within walking distance to lots of spots.

Beds very confrontable. I liked the backyard to sit and enjoy a drink and cigar.
Kenzie always kept in contact and was a great help with an issue not related to the house but with something outside that effected the house.

Thoughtful touches in every room made it easy to be at home in this fun location; close to interesting restaurants and not far from downtown Louisville. Pristinely clean. We hope to return. This house is Beautiful, comfortable and welcoming! We were 2 couples traveling and had plenty of room. We went on bourbon tours, had great dinners and shopping within walking distance. Good water pressure in the shower. Always on the street parking available outside the front big windows . Hope to return sometkme

From the minute you enter the Rickhouse, you know you're going to have a fantastic experience! Decor was perfect for the bourbon vibe we were there for. Home was spotless & comfortable.
Other than a drive to Jim Beam Distillery, we walked everywhere.
Guacamole & Lu-Lu on Main were fantastic eateries! We agreed, we came for the bourbon but would stay for the food!
Rabbit Hole Distillery Tour was a great beginning to our day! Awesome tour!
Walking to Whiskey Row and doing the Urban Bourbon Trail was so much fun! Each bar had a different feel.
Finishing our evening at the Rickhouse, sitting out back around the fire, was the perfect ending to our day.

My husband and I stayed here with one other couple, it was perfect for the four of us. The house was gorgeous and extremely clean. There were so many nice little touches and the owners reached out during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Other than the 2 distillery tours we drove to, we walked to everything else from this property. Tons of restaurants, bars and shopping are just blocks away. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

This property is just lovely. They have paid great attention to details with quality finishes. The linens, beds, towels were all great quality and they provided several conveniences that were a bonus like shampoo, coffee. We would highly recommend this property. It is a nice distance to most things as well!

The Rickhouse was a terrific homebase for our long weekend in Louisville enjoying all things whiskey. The hosts were super responsive and gave great recommendations for local places to try. The property was so well appointed with comfortable beds, nice linens, and a kitchen with really high-quality dishes, stemware and equipment — a really nice touch. And the NuLu neighborhood is vibrant and welcoming— the perfect vibe for our crew.

This property is very comfortable, just the perfect size for 2 couples, and absolutely immaculate. The wife was especially impressed with how clean and white the bathtubs were.
The hosts provide everything you could possibly need and plenty of it.

Cool, renovated, & modern space. You instantly felt the Kentucky/Bourbon vibe once stepping inside. The house was stocked with everything you would need and super clean. The owners were thoughtful enough to send us a guide recommending restaurants, which was super helpful. Restaurants were within walking distances but we did find it fun to ride the birds into town.

Fun week with great friends to experience the Bourbon Trail. We loved the property and the location to great restaurants, and distilleries! We loved La Bodeguita restaurant. This property has been well thought out and with lots of love. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit and charcoal grill, so enjoyable.

Two couples took a trip to explore some of the bourbon trail. We all had a great time. Property is amazing. Very clean, very fresh. Love the nods to bourbon in almost every room. Property managers kept the place stocked with necessities, including having local coffee available for an early morning. Even had blocked ice for cocktails. We utilized the backyard fire pit for an evening which was a nice option. Street parking was available right in front of property and was not an issue.
Best part of the stay was its location to NuLu. Walking distance, some just right around the corner, to some fun restaurants, bars, and shops. Our group loved La Bodeguita and Biscuit Belly; still thinking about both of them really. Great stay, we'd go back.

We stayed here with friends for a 40th birthday celebration and it was perfect! The house was impeccably clean, well-appointed and in such a fun neighborhood close to lots of great dining/drinking options and shopping. We'd definitely stay here again!

This was a perfect place for 2 couples doing the Bourbon Trail. Walking distance to many restaurants and very close to others. Kenzie and Kyle were wonderful hosts with great recommendations and always very quick to answer any questions. Highly recommend The Rickhouse!

This home was perfect for two couples. Loved the decor and although we didn't use the backyard seating as much as we would have liked, it was perfect as well! Great places to eat and drink within walking distance.

Great long weekend!
The house was fantastic! Fully stocked and just as advertised. The location allowed us to jump to a variety of distillery's during our trip. The only issue was the neighbors several houses down with their music at night. One of the bedrooms could not sleep the last night due to the loud music.
