Spacious and clean room, toilet separated from shower, nice decoration in the common area, central location, breakfast included, possibility to book tours directly at the hostel
Pool in the shade most of the day, no water in the morning when we were there (in the whole city apparently) but we had not been informed, very noisy

Pool is great. Very sociable and the rooftop is great to watch the sunset from, very decent prices and the breakfast is great, all beds have mosquito nets
No fans or a/c in the rooms

Super nice breakfast! The woman at the front was super nice, all the time. After checkout she offered us to stay in the common area (incl pool) to wait until our flight. Very lovely, if we’re in Puerto Maldonado again, we’ll definitely stay there again!
Not a big deal but I’d like to have a second towel.

The price was almost okay for what you get.
Had a reservation for 2 nights as we arrived early by overnight bus. Staff at the front desk didn’t have our booking. We had to show on our mobile phones, had to say the price and everything else. And still there was no room ready and he wanted to charge us for this really (really!) bad breakfast even though we paid for 2 full nights.

I don't recommend this place because its beds have BED BUG. I booked a king room, and I found lots of bed bugs on my bed. Also, I asked my friend who had a shared room (dormitory), and they saw bed bugs too. When I told the staff, at first, they didn't understand because none of them could speak English, and then without apologizing, they just tried to teach me the name of the bug instead of fixing the issue. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

It's not far from city centre and port.
The tours sold there are like 1/3 more expensive then in the city. I asked if the door will be open at 5am to go for tour, they told me it's stuff there 24 hrs but in the morning nobody was there. Only cold water in shower and only 4 lockers for 8 beds in room.

Friendly staff and good location
Could be loud at night, onlt cold showers

The hostel itself is fine, clean and comfy beds, free breakfast is nice.
I booked 2 tours from the tour desk in the hostel:
3d 2n tambopata macaw tour at collpas Inn. This type was fantastic, the lodge was amazing, clean comfortable, the food was great staff friendly and the guides (Alun and Jorge) were amazing very respectful of wildlife and informative. You go on boat tours, kayaking visit the macaw clay lick and do several walks. The tour was great value and I wish I had stayed longer here it was so beautiful.
2d 1n Sandoval lake tour. The lodge I stayed in for this tour ( maloka Sandoval) was nowhere near as nice as collpas inn. It was very basic the rooms were a bit gross, it wasn't as clean and comfortable. the food was okay but it didn't agree with my stomach. However the staff were nice and the guide Alberto was fantastic the lake is beautiful and you stay right by the lake so you get to go on boat tours at night and the following morning. There were lots of Cayman, snakes, monkeys. However I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer as the lodge wasn't as comfortable.

The staff, the rooms and the pool!
Our shower leaked into the room after all ten of us had showered.

This hostel was in a safe location, and only a few blocks from the main square.
I have no specific complaints, but travelers should be aware that this area of Peru rarely has hot showers. I was fine with this, though my father was hoping for a warm shower.

the hostel is very welcoming, even beyond the check-in and check-out hours. You can use the common area, hammocks terrace, storage and the bathrooms. the rooms are big and comfy, hosts are nice and helpful
weird thing is that from corridor side the rooms have upper part of walls cut out and replaced with bug screen net. It results with noise coming inand out and almost zero privacy ( thank god for the curtains). earplugs are a must have

I like the spacious rooms, the breakfast (there is also a kitchen you can cook in) and the pool (in Puerto Maldonado is so hot-that was a nice bonus to cool in the pool). the hostel is quite big with a chilling area on the last floor. it is not a party hostel, you can chill here and get rest.
The staff is very helpful and always smiling. In the hostel, there is an agency and Alid offered great trips at a fair price.
nothing. I was happy about my stay :)
