The property is in a great location - quiet road directly on the water with lawn for our dog and firepit for relaxation and conversation.
The property layout worked for us and provided beautiful views of the lake.
A couple of things we would mention are:
- Stairs need to be used from street level. We managed even though one person in our party was on crutches and our dog has mobility issues.
- The lock on the sliding glass doors on the main level was tricky to use. We couldn't get it to lock.
- The outside balcony felt spongy in one area which was a bit concerning.
- There were only four of us, and we couldn't find additional paper products.
Overall, we had a lovely stay at this beautiful lakehouse.

Wonderful home on the lake, lots of fun things to do in area -tavern in Aurora, wineries of fingerlakes, many waterfalls and hiking trails.

There aren’t many houses this big available. It was great for the 13 of us plus dogs.
Had an issue with the AC but the host responded very quickly and a repair person was there shortly after to get it back up and running.

This was a lovely home in a beautiful location. We came up for the eclipse with a group of friends and family, and enjoyed our time playing games, cooking in the amazing kitchen, and taking in that gorgeous view!

We had an absolutely perfect Thanksgiving in this lovely home. The kitchen is a chef's dream (and I actually am a chef) The TWO convection ovens handled our Thanksgiving dinner no problem. Lots of space for 5 couples and a teen. The view and sunsets are magical. I would love to come back in the warmer weather to enjoy the outside features. Kris was very responsive to any questions we had before our visit and the day we checked in.

This was once a beautiful property and could be again. As stated before, there are severe health and safety issues that should be addressed immediately. Rusted bolts sticking out of dock to be stepped on. An active water leak from the master bathroom into the basement ceiling with black mold. Another hole in the ceiling from water leaking in hallway in basement with black mold. The black mold in the coffee maker caused us to go out an purchase a new coffee maker for the house even though there was a Keurig, we wanted drip coffee. Most disturbing was the instability of the upper deck and rail system. I am concerned that with a bit of pressure it may give way. There was a bedroom ceiling can light that was hanging and the air conditioning stopped working for the main part of the house halfway through our stay. The exterior was filthy. The outdoor kitchen was not usable and the replacement grill had a buildup of grease and debris that when cooking hotdogs flared up and filled the house with smoke. A quick leaf blower would have removed all the dead lake bugs and spiderwebs that were everywhere. There were piles of miscellaneous items on the patio and the gate locks were broken or missing and had twine used to keep gates closed. I paid over $11,000 for the week and had to buy paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, and water for the house. Please be aware of these items when you go to this house. Again, I think it could be a wonderful place with some maintenance.

My family & I had such a wonderful vacation at this house. The house is absolutely beautiful with outstanding views. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed. The yard was definitely a nice bonus for our dogs and young kids.
We did have issues with the WiFi, but it was taken care of quickly which was much appreciated.
The only con I can speak to was the cleanliness of the grill. It was quite dirty with cobwebs, bugs, etc. so my husband spent a decent amount of time scrubbing & cleaning it.
All in all, it’s an amazing place for a large family. None of us wanted to leave. Highly recommend.

Assumption is that the homeowner had not closely inspected the property prior to our visit. Property was not adequately cleaned, adequate # of towels not there, one of the two faucets in the MBath inoperable, no iron on site, missing register cover in one bedroom leaving a hole open in the floor, only one cue stick for the pool table was useable no tips on the others, the shower door ridge in the MB was retaining water/mildew/hair, water leaked out onto the floor and ran into the laundry rm, outdoor furniture was not clean, and outdoor grill looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time. The owner was prompt in responding at first, however, my observations submitted after a couple of days was not responded to for over 48 hours.
The house has great potential. The kitchen and eating area was great. Although getting to the house required use of a one lane private road for a short stretch the property is not only a large house right at the lake, but also has a flat grass side yard to play games. All in all, with attention to detail, this property has potential.

Large home with lots of room to spread out. Very nice views from all the windows. Outside could use some upkeep and maintenance but inside was clean and had all the basics you would need.

We had a fantastic stay in this incredible home right on the lake. Initially it was just our family of four (two adults and two kids, 15, 11) and our border collie staying for the first two nights. Then we were joined by family from Canada for the next two nights, including our 8yr old nephew. The house is exceptionally well equipped and we had everything you could want for our stay. Plenty of room for everyone and amenities galore. We enjoyed the view from both inside and outside the home and would happily return again! Our dog loved it too, especially the fully fenced in yard complete with a lawn to play on! Communication from the owners was spot on and met our expectations for VRBO owner managed properties. Thanks for the great stay and to anyone on the fence, book it - million dollar views from everywhere!

We spent three days here with three generations of our extended family (2 elders, 6 adults, 1 teen and 2 kids). The views were absolutely amazing throughout both the main and basement levels. The kitchen is well laid out and supplied with all cooking essentials, plus far more (yes, it has both a 12-cup coffee pot and Keurig!). The house was very clean all over. The only small issues we had were some inconsistent heating, as some parts of the house were hotter than others, and occasional poor water pressure. Neither took away from our overall experience, and we would definitely stay here again. I had my dog with me and the fenced in side yard was wonderful!

The home is beautiful, great craftsmanship. . The location on the lake made for magnificent views. There was plenty of room and equipment to enjoy our Thanksgiving . The appliances were top notch. It would be a great place to go in the summer also.

The hosts were wonderful, responsive and helpful. The house is beautiful and the area is gorgeous. The only complaint is that the water supply runs out and the pump stops working. Although it was an easy fix for me. Other than that, had a wonderful time.

We just stayed at this beautiful house for a long weekend with family. The house itself if spacious, clean, and gorgeous. Couldn’t ask for a better location right on the water. We were able to have a fire and sit on the dock to watch the sunset each night. Some local wineries are nearby that we enjoyed but we also drove to the other side of the lake where there are even more! Overall a great experience and would definitely come back again next year.

Our time together on Lake Cayuga was wonderful! Our hosts communicated proactively and welcomed any questions. The home is beautiful and large; perfect for a family of 10 adults and 2 children. Lots of space for "Family Game Night" as well as spots to enjoy some quiet time. The local winery tours were fabulous and a short drive to Ithaca provided kayaking and hiking up the Buttermilk Falls trail. Hoping to return to Aurora soon, on a smaller scale, perhaps just the two of us! For a family long-weekend, this home was perfect! Thank you for your hospitality.

We rented Kristopher’s place for a long family weekend and it was perfect. The house had all essentials listed in description and more. We enjoyed the privacy of the property and beautiful sunsets. The owner was very responsive. I would definitely recommend Kristopher’s place to my friends and will consider coming back.

This place was great and the owner was accommodating and attentive to our needs. Two AC’s to keep it cold during the summer months. Back porches allow for views and lower level is covered which allows you to still grill and not have to do so in the rain!
Could use a few more beds if sleeping 14, unless you have folks who are good with couches and couples who would occupy 2/bed.
Looking forward to coming back!

Great home to gather with family or friends with beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen is very well-equipped with plenty of room for cooking/eating together. All rooms are spacious and updated. (Note that the beds in the listing allow for up to 13 guests. We had 14 on this family trip so one adult needed to sleep on the futon in the den which was still comfortable.) Outdoor spaces offer many options for summer fun. Waterfalls in Ithaca were a 30 minute ride away. Kris was a great host and very responsive to any questions or issues we had.

Beautiful location but pretty much no TV/Internet
We had 7 family members staying at the property. The house is spacious with 3 floors. It's clean and the view is fantastic. We had pretty much everything we need in the kitchen.
The major issue is the TV/Wifi access. There is no cable and the satellite service was spotty and didn't work most of the time. We spent many frustrating hours to try to get the house TV/internet to work. We had to use our own data to stream some movies in the end.

The good and the bad
The good:
This is a large house with lots of space to spread out and relax.
Beautiful lake views from the large windows on the top floor.
The kitchen is really nice with lots of cupboards and glassware of all kinds; water glasses, wine glasses, margarita glasses…
The swimming is good and accessible from two different staircases
Lots of deck space to enjoy the view
The bad:
Communication was slow
The house needs some maintenance especially outside areas; one of the docks has missing boards and is blocked off.
An outside walkway is also blocked off.
The lawn was not mowed and a foot tall in weeds.
The ladder off the end of the dock in the pictures is no more.
There is a large fancy grill but it’s igniter is gone.

Fabulous Time on the Lake
Our family (all adults) gathered at Kris’s lake house with people driving in from multiple states (all 5 cars fit easily in driveway). We loved the location & property and were very happy with our decision to rent here.
The house is as lovely as the photos show. Comfortable beds (1 king, 3 queens, “bunk room” with 1 double & 3 twins). Living room and dinning room have amazing lake views and access to the upper deck for relaxing. Lower level opens to a covered patio, lake and yard. While there are houses on both sides, the fencing and shrubs make it feel private and the area is very quiet; we sat and watched the boats go by and enjoyed beautiful sunsets.
The property is totally fenced in with gates that limit access to lake and street. My son brought his dog and he was able to have him off leash with no worries which was very nice. Direct access in/out of lake was easy via stairs (most appreciated by the dog for his daily swims).
We’ve rented many properties over the years and this kitchen was by far the best stocked we’ve ever seen. There was a plethora of clean, good quality plates, glasses, coffee mugs, silverware, steak knives, serving bowls & platters, pots, etc…. The only thing we missed having was a kettle to heat water for tea (we used the microwave but an electric kettle would be a nice addition).
We grilled almost every night and enjoyed a campfire our last evening. It was a magical, fun time on the lake.
PS - if you’re here Friday, Saturday or Sunday we recommend pizza (feeds 2-3) from Aurora Brewing just down the street (the Cheddar and Heirloom Tomato pizza was delicious!).

Perfect Family Getaway
This home is the perfect family getaway. The house is spacious and gorgeous. From its wooden decor to its fantastic living room windows/slide doors overlooking Cayuga Lake, you get to experience a full-blown getaway vacation. The amenities were perfect, the beds very comfortable with ample closet space. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed to cook our family meals! Let me not forget to mention the downstairs along with the outside deck. Great space to have a family game night ( pool table was a plus), outdoor grill for cookouts, and the many Lounge chairs for the entire family to watch the mesmerizing sunsets, sunrise, or just to hang out. Sad to say, due to the weather climate, we were unable to use the fire pit to make our s'mores! But this is just to share about yet another wonderful and spacious area that comes with this home. Overall we enjoyed our spring break and had such a great time and would recommend this home many times over! Kristopher and Tom were very responsive when we had questions and helped guide us with specific instructions when we needed them. Do not think twice about booking!
