It was a very relaxing stay. Our kids enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.

Loved the adorable bungalow. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and it rained, at times heavily, during our trip, so we weren’t able to take full advantage of the pool but we did get in as much as we could. The house was very clean and had room for our family. The kids loved being in the bunk beds. We passed the rainy days playing games and watching the giant television. The kids spent time playing the video games and foosball. Many memories were made and we will definitely return in the future.

We stayed for a week and honestly couldn’t wait to get home. The home has a serious issue with cockroaches and mosquitoes. Couldn’t walk outside without instantly being eaten alive and couldn’t enjoy inside for mosquitoes flying in and cockroaches crawling around. I hope the property owner fixes the pest issues so the property can be enjoyed.

Property was just as described except they added a wading pool.
Great location, communication, clean, and quiet. Great wildlife watching. We will be back.

We arrived for a one night stay as a short getaway. Had an issue with getting the key out f the lockbox but we resolved it fairly quickly with property manager. Overall it was a nice place, but we did notice a few small roaches running around. Living on the coast myself I’m use to seeing roaches of varying sizes. But as the evening wore on it became obvious this was more than just a couple. They were everywhere, we decided no stay and booked other other accommodations. The other disappointment was the fact that the property management did not make any attempt to compensate us or try to make it right. I hope they will take care of this issue.

It’s an old cozy bungalow in a very private area with a beautiful nature around.
But unfortunately it has a huge problem with cockroaches, especially in the kitchen area behind the fridge and stove.
The smell that came out of behind the fridge and stove was very disturbing.
We have already informed the owner and hopefully he can solve this problem.
The pool and pool area and BBQ area was very clean. The same with the bedrooms and bathrooms.
There were enough towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies.
All appliances in the kitchen were fully functioning.
There were some minor things that need to take care of and we have already informed the owner about them.

Super quiet and low key property nestled away in Galveston. Honestly really liked how quiet the area was while also still being super close to all the local food spots.

The property was EXTREMELY dirty, TRASH EVERYWHERE, we found a live coach roach next to a pill by the bed, multiple peoples underware outside ,used q-tips, the pond is not a pond it’s a hazard filled with trash that stinks! Beware!!! check in was at 4:00 pm, I had to ask them multiple times for the code wasn’t able to check in until around five because of this negligence. Im paying almost $400 a night this is unacceptable!

The property was as expected, the online listing was spot-on.The cowboy pool was an unexpected bonus. The kids 12 and under loved it. When we arrived, the outdoor bedroom was not closed all the way and we suspected it had been broken into. As it turns out, it was just broken. I reported it and someone was out there really quickly. That was appreciated. However, the door never shut and locked due to the post that should have been at the top to hold the door in place must have been broken. The house was not very clean at all, we had to wipe down all surfaces and there was no broom in it to give it a good sweep. The outer room had wet Pine-Sol on the floor. The Pool pump and AC unit could not run at the same time. A larger AC would be better. There were bugs everywhere in the house, on the ceiling, in cobwebs, roaches in cabinets and bathrooms and outer room. We got bug and wasp spray and treated it ourselves. I apologize for not washing the dishes, I couldn't get internet there and did not read departure rules till I got home.

There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 kids. Was room for more people. Property is not super close to other houses. We wanted to be able to relax and not have to worry about being too loud. We had problems with the microwave. A new microwave arrived shortly after I notified my contact person. Very nice to work with.

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at this cozy property with its own private pond. The house was comfortable, clean, and inviting. We spent our time fishing and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The host was friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. A perfect spot for a laid-back escape!

We enjoyed our stay at the property, it was just as pictured. It was quiet. My family & I enjoyed watching the wildlife that would come visit. We went fishing & crabbing in the pond. My only complaint is the microwave didn't heat so we had to do everything on the stove top or in the oven.

We had three generations and there was something for everyone. Very comfortable and homey. Close to the beach and just outside the back deck is a pond that the kids had a great time fishing and catching crabs-then watching them swim away when released. The beds were comfortable and kitchen stocked with anything that was needed for cooking. The owners were also very responsive and checked in to make sure all was good. We would definitely recommend.

I have 5 teen boys 14 -17. This place was just a perfect mix of out door fun with the pond we did not catch any fish but did catch blue crabs that we ate for dinner .a camp fire roasted marshmallow and pop corn then the guys when in to arcade to play watch a movie and play foo's ball they had the main bedroom which was spacious. we had everything in the kitchen to cook with and all the rooms were big and very relaxing . the kids road bikes that we brought up and down long entrance lane which is private to look for bunnies. we went 5 mins down the road in car to the first beach access at the light then came back home and played laser tag which we brought also. but had the perfect yard space to do it in and cant wait to go back an in joy again. the patio out back is where we ate as a family very relaxing. only 2 things i would change/add one is it is really dark between the main house and the out door play house there is a step that is so easy to miss. (I would add a row of the hanging lights from patio to fire pit area, add tvs in the single king size bedrooms & large stock pot needed). we gave the large master bedroom and bath to the 5 kids and we stayed in the king bedroom we needed to relax a tv would have been prefect in there . the house does boast large tv in master and large in living and large one in outside arcade room though. but kids took over all those places so us adults wanted to have our own space. clean/organized/all of the toiletries/kitchen A+

We actually only stayed one night at Barefoot Bungalo, through no fault of BeachBox, the water was turned off by the city due to broken pipes at the house next door. The team with Beach Box worked quickly to find us new accommodations. We were moved to Lost Shaker of Salt and that house was amazing! It ended up being absolutely perfect for our group! Unfortunately we did have to switch houses again on Saturday, but they found us a house on Bolivar that was very nice as well. We wanted to be on Bolivar for New Year's Eve anyhow, so it worked perfectly.
I cannot begin to praise management and the Beach Box team, they were incredibly responsive both via text and phone.
Did have a one of issue with the first house. The beds do need new mattresses, they were not comfortable. Lost Shaker of Salt and the house on Bolivar both had AMAZING mattresses.
We will definitely stay and only look for Beach Box properties.
Thank you for going above and beyond to address the hiccups! You made what could have been a total nightmare into better than we could have asked for! This made for great trip stories!
