About this house rental
Podere I Pereti was entirely build by our grandfather Remo in the 1970's.
My siblings and I spent most of our summers on the porch with our grandparents watching sunsets and admiring the view of the Val d'Orcia.
The kitchen was always the heart of the house where our grandmother Cesira prepared the delicious Sunday lunches that
were eaten in front of the fireplace or outside under the porches.
For this reason, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances an Italian house must have, including the wood burning kitchen range with its own oven.
Podere I Pereti is entirely surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Nonno Remo, besides having a building company, proudly produced Orcia red wine that was consumed by the family, together with vinsanto that was offered to the guests.
From the 150 olive trees, every November we filled our tanks with green gold olive oil.
Our father Alessandro in 2014 began a restoration project that lasted three years. Thanks to his passion for architecture, nature and his good taste in interior design, the house has finishing of the highest quality: travertine floors, upstairs parquet, floor heating and cooling system. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Three balconies overlook the Orcia valley giving it's residents a stunning view of the Tuscan sunrise.
FYI : Video Surveillance: – The Property has one external security camera placed on the main gate for security reason.

We couldn't have been happier with this stay! It checked all our boxes: private space with beautiful views that was still walkable to town (we felt very safe at all hours of the day & night), plenty of room to be together or chill on our own, ample parking, and bedrooms upstairs away from the common space (each with ensuite bathrooms!).
The back covered patio was *amazing*, gorgeous views, lots of lounge chairs, two tables we could pull together for big group meals...there were trikes for the kiddos and plenty of little nooks for them to create a myriad of imaginary games.
Our hosts were great communicators and we were all impressed with the cleanliness of the villa as well! A real gem.
San Quirico d'Orcia was the perfect small town, great trails for walking/running, had everything we needed at the COOP grocery market in town, a plethora of eating options, delicious gelato, and several stores for browsing and souvenirs!
As an aside, we had a fabulous time with Tours of Tuscany: Alexandra brought a cooking class to the villa and Niccolo also picked us up from there and drove us around for a Brunello Winery tour. This house was a perfect home base for getting a taste of Tuscany!
