Located in the beautiful and vibrant village of Otterburn in Northumberland, Percy Cottage is a two bedroom holiday home with style in abundance. With original, statement brick fireplaces and rich colour palettes, there is a luxury feel throughout the property. Sleeping up to four guests, Percy Cottage is a fantastic choice for family staycations and getaways with friends.
The Space:
Percy Cottage has a cosy living room with dark navy walls, a leather corner sofa and a log burner. The perfect place to enjoy a quiet night in, you turn on the flat screen TV to watch Freeview and snuggle up with your loved ones.
The kitchen diner features pale green walls and wood panelling to create a tranquil feel and fresh look. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, you’ll have everything you could need to prepare meals easily.
The cottage has two beautifully designed bedrooms. Both bedrooms feature king size beds and premium bed linens to ensure you have the best sleep possible.
Head to the family bathroom and you’ll find a quirky space with sloped ceilings, clashing print tiles and a skylight window. A WC, vanity unit and bath with overhead shower complete the room.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is free on site parking for one vehicle at the property.
The Neighborhood:
Percy Cottage is located in the quaint village of Otterburn in Northumberland. Located on the banks of the River Rede, it’s the perfect place to explore the Redesdale valley. You’ll find a number of pubs and restaurants throughout the village so you can enjoy delicious pub lunches and quiet evening meals. There are also a number of shops throughout the village including Otterburn Mill.
Otterburn is located in Northumberland National Park which is the least populated and least visited of all National Parks in England and Wales. It is also the most northerly and the most remote from large urban areas. During your visit, you may see native red squirrels, roe deer and a whole host of reptiles amongst many others!
Northumberland National Park also forms part of Europe’s largest area of protected night sky known as the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park. This is 572 square miles of protected sky where on a clear night, you can see millions of stars. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along one of the long distance moorland trails or cycle through the quiet wilderness. Horse ride through one of the many bridleways or get ready to sweat on a mountain bike blaze. Climb one of the challenging crags or paddle through a pristine river in a canoe. You won’t get bored of things to do!
Getting Around:
The closest train stations to Otterburn are Haydon Bridge and Hexham, which are roughly 17 miles away. A number of connecting routes can also be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier.
There are a number of bus routes through Otterburn. Hop on the 131 route which travels to Newcastle Airport and Newcastle Haymarket bus station.
