The shops and restaurants that draw so many people to the Rockridge neighborhood is a five-minute stroll from the house. Get your coffee and pasta at Market Hall, your pizza from Zachary’s, your ramen and cocktails from the Ramen Shop, and stock up at Trader Joe’s or Safeway, both nearby. Or hop on BART and be in San Francisco in 20 minutes. But you may just want to stay home and enjoy the light and life through the skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows, or sit out on the deck that overhangs Temescal Creek and soak in the abundance of wildlife swimming or flying by.
The house offers 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, an office, central living and dining rooms for gathering, a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast nook, and a washer/dryer for your laundry needs. The sofa bed in the livingroom accommodates two guests. There are two off-street parking spaces. Route 24 is close to the house for easy access to anywhere in the Bay Area, but the property is set back and down enough to be surprisingly quiet. There is illuminated, level access from the street to the front door (one step up to the front landing); inside there are a few steps connecting different parts of the house.
