This Property is absolutely Gorgeous! We loved the home and location. I would check in with the management company if I were the owner. Master shower clogged and won’t drain which has caused wall damage. Our two guest rooms had dirty towels and ours were wet. Home is fabulous!!

Just a beautiful experience to stay at this private gated winery with our family. So peaceful to lounge by the pool in those hanging daybeds with lilacs, lavender and rosemary blooming all around you. The kitchen in this Villa was our favorite place to hang out with our friends and family. It was hard to leave the property to go to dinner because we enjoyed the outdoor dining as well. A very special treat was when the owner and host, Kelly showed up to stay in the apartment above the detached garage. She came by to invite us to a private tasting at the outdoor kitchen by the pool and it was amazing. She was lovely and the wine was delightful. We cannot wait to go back and experience the winery during the fall and winter! Thank you so much for a memorable trip to Kenwood.

We stayed here for my daughter’s 21st birthday and the house and property were spectacular. It’s a peaceful and beautiful house. We can’t wait to return for another visit!

This property was perfect for our family getaway. The property was stunning and had everything we needed for a great vacation. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed and the beds were all very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the rest of the property as well.

Beautiful setting and great location. Terrible support from call center (no personal assistance available). No tv, sound system or fireplace available. Sparse amenities. The service and amenities dont match the price.

This home is so comfortable and welcoming. The grounds are amazing and private. We enjoyed utilizing the well appointed chefs kitchen in the house. (pool kitchen is not for use). The chickens kept us fed with eggs, the grapefruit, lemons, limes, figs were ripe, and the vegetables in the garden helped with our salad. Very comfortable for 3 couples who like amazing views, poolside lounging and relaxing in a working vineyard.

We loved everything about this home and surrounding property. What was originally a birthday trip for my fiance turned into a very impromptu wedding. Just us, another couple and a minister. The grounds are so beautiful and mesmerizing! Fresh eggs from the chickens in the morning and an amazing chefs kitchen. The house is perfect to enjoy friends, family, food and wine! We hope to come back again! The owner Kelly was lovely and helped with anything we needed. Highly recommended.

Perfect Getaway
Such a wonderful getaway. Perfect for 3 couples. Loved the inside and out. It is a working vineyard so expect to see workers. No TV’s, no cell service …. Much needed break from it all. Great location to so many wine locations too!

This property absolutely exceeded my expectations. It was not only clean, gorgeous, and spacious, but it also had fresh fruit, fresh eggs laid by the chickens on the property, and seemingly endless places to relax. We LOVED our stay and I hope to stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Castle in Tuscany!
We had a great time at this beautiful house. I felt like we were living in a castle! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, including fruit trees, pool, bocce court, and beautiful sunset views. The interior of the house is gorgeous with high end finishes throughout. Wished we could have used the gas fire pit table outside and accessed the Sonos for music inside. Overall, I would give it a 10 out of 10!

Wine Country Retreat
This beautiful estate and vineyard offered the perfect hime base for our wine tasting experience. The house was absolutely immaculate with a chef's quality kitchen. There was plenty of space for all three couples to find privacy at this lovely sanctuary. I would highly recommend this home. Note that two of the bedrooms and bath are very large and the third is quite small. Not a problem for our group, but some may care. Fabulous home...

Beautiful Spot, Reminiscent of Tuscany, Needs a few updates
A beautiful spot as advertised. Grounds a very pretty and reminiscent of Tuscany. This was the tail end of the warm season (late October) and the pool and gardens seemed a bit weather beaten and lacking full attention and care. The little garden hadn't really been tended to in awhile, the bocce court had not been raked and the equipment seemed to be where the last users had left it. There were also a few little kid toys lying around. The kitchen, while pretty well equipped, was also missing some basic things like a citrus press or a garlic press. Also, the little sample toiletries that were left out seemed to be an afterthought and possibly not changed since the last guests were there. Also - there were window shades that were broken (downstairs master) as well as broken screen doors (also in downstairs master). The ceiling in the main master bedroom was full of daddy longlegs. There was also no closet space given in the master bedroom and instead a flimsy clothing rack was left out in the middle of the room. All this stuff is really fairly minor, but for the price one pays, it would have been nice to have a few of these little things managed a bit better and someone needs to walk around a fix shades and door screens.

A quiet weekend with family
Our goal was to have a nice retreat away from the hustle and bustle of our normal lives. The property is beautiful and it was very comfortable. We knew there was no TV before coming, and read about the spotty internet. What we didn’t account for was the “atmospheric river” that dumped tons of water on Sonoma while we were there. We were hoping to get the warm weather to enjoy the pool and bocchi - but sadly Mother Nature had other plans. We had some lovely meals after getting some groceries. And we played Uno, read books and relaxed.
My daughter felt uncomfortable with using the downstairs bathrooms as there were no window coverings, so we gave her the master suit upstairs so she could shower, etc. in privacy. With the anticipation that workers could drive up the road at any point, window coverings on the restroom windows would have been something recommended for those who prefer guaranteed privacy in the restroom.
The property itself is gorgeous. Great location. Great for family gatherings. I would like to return some time in the future when it’s warm to take advantage of some family pool time and bocchi and some more family cooking time.
Really had a great experience despite what Mother Nature dumped on us.

Food and wine
This property offers an excellent retreat after busy days of hiking, shopping, and of course wine tasting. The Kitchen is wonderful for cooking with generous supply of cooking utensils and dishes. We even enjoyed a few fresh eggs from the on property chickens. The out door dining space and pool deck are extremely comfortable for winding down after a busy day.

Birthday Weekend
The house is awesome. The pictures are a great representation of the property. The internet is an issue for simple day to day use. The location of the house needs to be considered when planning wine tours. The ride back and forth over the hill is not good when visiting the Napa side.

The villa is very nice, has the potential to be great!
The Pro's:
1. is in a very good location, especially if you are sticking to the Sonoma side of wine country. A bit far for Napa but it is doable. Very private large property!
2. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and has everything you could need for cooking and eating a meal at home.
3. Loved having the chickens and their eggs on property.
4. The house is good for couples (there were two couples in our party)
For the Con's:
1. The rental company says many times in the pre-arrival communications "we will notify you if you can have an early check in (4pm) or a late check out (10am)." Upon further investigation, the home does not allow early or late check in's at all so I wish they had just been forthcoming about that from the beginning.
2. The master bedroom: there are no curtains on most of the windows and both of the closets are locked. I feel like at this price point you should have access to a closet in the master bedroom. If you like to sleep in darkness, bring an eye mask.
3. The outdoor gardens were very messy around the pool. It seemed as though someone had done some pruning before we arrived buy never came to clean up. Ladders were left around the pool, etc. Again, at this price point it should be tidy upon arrival.
4. There is a beautiful outdoor kitchen, outdoor fire pit and pizza oven in the kitchen that are all off-limits. Feels a little "look but don't touch"
5. There is a Sonos system but we could not get it to work. Asked for assistance but they were not helpful.
6. The Wi-Fi is terrible. I could go on about this but do not plan to work while you are on the property, FaceTime, etc
7. The property is not completely "yours" or "private" - there are two people living above the barn, which is right next to the house/pool. While we rarely saw them, and never heard them, but the coming and going of their cars was a bit awkward.

Beautiful but not clean
We arrived and the property grounds were beautiful but we got there after at our check in time and the cleaning people were still there cleaning in a rush. We waited but when we came in property smelled and we found trash in trash cans from previous renter. Dirty powder room and beds in two rooms were not washed!! Sounds terrible but I actually smelled the pillows and called them. They did send the cleaning people back the next Day when I sent pictures of it and they took take care of of trash and wash the bedding. Needless to say this was an issue especially during Covid.
Otherwise we had a great time until last day when owner left us a note saying she is using the pool house with friends and asked that we come after she was done. She did invite us to a glass of wine after she is done with her guests. I called the property manager and asked that we don’t share the pool area or outdoor area with owner on our last day. The property manage called her and they ended up cancelling so we were able to use the pool on our last day.

Positives: The location is idyllic, the home is placed exactly where it should be. The landscape and home layout is exactly what we wanted.Negatives: To stay here you need to be ok with no cell service, no internet(or basically unusable internet). The AC was broken when we got here, wasn't resolved until half way through the stay. The house has a bit of a spider problem(part of being on an acreage, if you hate spiders maybe not).Turnkey, got things fixed and took care of us...a bit slow but did follow through.

This is a stunning house with an immense chef's kitchen and gorgeous views from each window. The three large bedrooms comfortably sleep three couples, and the primary bedroom is upstairs and has THREE balconies. We cooked two dinners in the kitchen and baked madeleines for breakfast, and found everything we needed down to a large kitchen mixer -- OK, we did bring our own madeleine pans.To complement the Tuscan architecture is the hillside landscape which features a vineyard, olive trees, a citrus grove, and a hillside of lavender, overlooking the pool. There are three goats on the property and a small henhouse. When we gathered the fresh eggs, they were still warm and were amazing at breakfast, especially with orange juice squeeze from oranges from outside of the living room window. The property has at least a half dozen outside seating areas -- one the edge of the vineyard, in the rose garden, in the citrus grove, at the pool, etc. So, it was a delight to grab a cup of coffee, and find a place to start the day.We were disappointed that the pool was too cold for swimming during our May stay (it's not heated), and so we ended up playing bocce ball on the court.

Quiet Sonoma Getaway
The central location was perfect for short excursions to Healdsburg, Yountville and other nearby destinations, but the property is ensconced against the hillside far from the main road. We were fortunate to meet the owner and she opened her new outdoor kitchen for a Locanda wine tasting - what a gracious host! The house and property are outstanding and are reminiscent of Tuscany. We had one of the most relaxing getaways in memory and would highly recommend Locanda Estates.

This is an idyllic property, nestled against the hills of wine country. The house is perfect for small get togethers -- the kitchen is oversized and great for groups to cook. The flow to the outside and the pool area is to die for. Its hard to capture the beauty in photos! There is also a charming garden that you can pick from and cunning animals that greet you as you walk around the property. The sheep and chickens make you feel at home! We loved every minute on the property. The downside: The internet & cell reception is grade-A awful. It's almost impossible to create a network this bad in Northern California. It's weird, since the owners are running nest cams on the property -- they must be hogging the bandwidth and leaving little to the guests. The outdoor kitchen along with many property amenities (large grill, pizza oven, outdoor fireplace) are off limits to guests. While much of it may be related to fire safety, there was definitely a "look but don't touch vibe". There was also a minor hiccup with a work crew showing up when we were there. To the owners credit, this was quickly and gracefully resolved. Also the early checkout (10am) feels chintzy given the price and robs you of another few hours in paradise.Really amazing location. Would be a 5 star but for the internet issue which lead to angry teenagers trying in vain to attend Zoom classes,
