My husband and I decided we wanted to go to Emerald Isle for a last minute getaway before the start of school began. We ran across this sweet, cute place on VRBO. From questions before booking, while there and then before we left the hosts ensured we had anything and everything needed to make our stay perfect. The room was very clean and stocked with drinks, snacks and even 4 freshly baked chocolate chip cookies upon arrival. The hosts do have a golf cart that is shared by all the guests, you just have to sign up for your time. We rented our own so we did not have to have theirs back at certain times but did use it the last day before leaving. With a golf cart it made it a perfect location to get to the beach. I would highly recommend staying with Carolyn and John if you and your spouse are looking for somewhere to go to get away together and relax because they will make sure that you will enjoy every moment and have your room ready for you to relax! We love the Emerald Isle area and would definitely stay at this location again if it was only my husband and I again, which we are already planning our next trip!!

One of the best getaways I’ve experienced. From the prompt response/warm greeting when I booked, the flexibility with accommodations, to the absolutely stunning/beautiful suite with special treats left to enjoy. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and stocked. We had plenty of towels, coffee, creamers, snacks, etc. Youname it, they had it there for you. I could’ve packed a lot lighter if I’d have realized what all they had an available. I’ve never stayed anywhere that provided all the goods. It was a very nice place for a couple to stay.

Very clean and nice place, they definitely put a lot of detail and it was appreciated. They had a golf cart that could be used but if you didn’t have a golf cart you had to walk because there was no parking otherwise. It was about 0.6 miles to the beach, fine for us but FYI. We thought they were very nice but constant messages weren’t needed. We turned our messages off to relax and saw their message after to dispose of our trash and put towels in a specific area. We thought this was strange as we’re paying a cleaning fee for them to clean after we left. We left it very clean and towels were together anyways.

The suite was lovely, and so are Jonathan and Carolyn! We spent 8 nights here on our honeymoon and loved it. The location is quiet and easily accessible, an easy walk to the beach, and the suite was larger than we expected from the pictures. The amenities like the bikes were a huge plus as well! Jonathan and Carolyn were super kind overall and very responsive to questions, and were above and beyond helpful when we were in a pinch with our rental car. Cannot recommend this place and these hosts enough, we would choose this for our honeymoon every time!

I wish I could give this property and its incredible owners more than 5 stars! We had the most relaxing stay and didn’t want to leave! The owners truly thought of everything you could have wanted or needed to feel at home in their home and were very available via the app or cell phone for any questions or needs. We had big expectations after reading all of the great reviews from previous guests and somehow Carolyn still managed to exceed them. As soon as we opened the door to the Flip Flop Suite we were blown away. The attention to every little detail was incredible Everything was picture perfect, clean and decor was amazing. Quiet and very much relaxing. We had delicious cookies awaiting us and departing lemon pound cake!! We can't thank the hosts enough for their beautiful home and hospitality that they have put a lot of thought and love into!

Walked into our room and it was like a spa. Soft music of waves. Pretty decor encouraging relaxation. Two possible negatives: deck chair lounges were pretty but not comfy for long stay sitting and inside stairs after stairs to deck were alot...but then again, great exercise! Hosts were very nice and room had everything you could think of including home made baked goods twice during our week's stay. Close to everything we needed, walking trail, grocery, restaurants, gas and beaches.
We liked the Western access beach with outside showers and restrooms and a plus of lifeguards. Host also offered beach chairs, beach bag, towels, use of bikes, golf cart and kayak. We had an amazing week!

From the moment we booked to the moment we left Carolyn and Jonathan were exceptional hosts. My husband said the look on my face said it all-magical!! Carolyn and Jonathan have thought of every detail to make the stay inviting, relaxing and peaceful. My husband & I needed a romantic getaway that was intimate, cozy, & away from all of the hustle & bustle of everyday life/people-and that was exactly what we got!! The hosts were amazing! They were very responsive, checked in on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed, & helped us plan certain places to visit or dine at. Carolyn and Jonathan are attentive hosts without being invasive. We enjoyed the beautiful space they have created. We enjoyed riding the bicycles out to The Point and taking hikes in the woods close by. We also enjoyed hanging out on the porch and seeing the little green frogs that liked to find shelter under the shells. :)

This is our fourth stay at the “Suites” of Emerald Isle. This time we stayed in the Suite Escape, and like the other suites, this one lacked nothing. We arrived only to find fresh fruit, cheese, wine and homemade cookies waiting for us 😀. The suite was well stocked with coffee, drinks, snacks and every utensil and dish needed to dine in. We love this spot because the beach, store, restaurant and bar are a short walk away. The hosts are wonderful and very responsive. You will be more than pleased staying here, until it’s time to leave. We will be back very soon!! 🤗

We have traveled the world together the last 40 years and stayed in some elegant vacation spots and we can state honestly that "Suite Escape" was the best! Our hosts (and property owners) Carolyn and Jonathan set the standard for hospitality. The property was absolutely spotless and their attention to detail was breathtaking. They manage three suites at the same location- quiet, spotless, affordable, attentive, friendly, responsive, kind, generous, and family oriented. As soon as you arrive, you feel like a part of their family. The room was lit with candles, ocean-wave music, ice cream and fresh baked cookies. The suite had everything you needed to include a snack and coffee bar. You could literally just show up with a pair of swimming shorts and they provide everything else. The price is far less than the services and hospitality rendered. This is a MUST stay if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, and stress-free stay at the beach. Highly highly recommended.

Little Piece of Heaven!
We absolutely LOVED this little place! My husband and I spent the weekend there for our 14th anniversary. We walked in and immediately felt pampered! They had ocean music playing on the TV, battery run candles all over the room, they had homemade cookies for us with cake and ice cream in the fridge for our anniversary! Also, I would like to say, this is literally the cleanest place I have ever stayed in! I usually feel very uneasy about if the sheets are clean etc. but I did not see one speck of dust in this whole place! They have thought of every little detail and have everything labeled. The hosts were amazing to work with and very responsive to messages. Sunday morning we slept in a bit, woke up and shortly after, got a message from the host that we had some freshly baked apple cinnamon streusel cake waiting for us on our patio! They were in little heart shapes, and so delicious! It totally hit the spot for our lazy Sunday morning! They have a shared golf cart that we enjoyed several times to go down to the beach or just drive around the small neighborhoods. We also enjoyed using their bicycles one evening as we rode around in the rain and had a blast. It was a great time for my husband and I to connect and relax! The whole suite gives off a “spa vibe”. Loved it, and we will definitely be back!

I cannot put into words to properly explain how incredibly special this location was for my husband and I! The owners thought of literally everything to make our kid free week perfect. This is not just a place to stay. Right at the door we felt like we were given an experience and a huge hug! The room was spotless and filled with all the comforts of home to include treats from the owners. We were conveniently located to restaurants and shopping and were able to take day trips to Beaufort, Morehead city and Atlantic Beach. If you are looking for a peaceful get away under the management of people who are genuinely invested to serve and support their guests, this is the place for you! We will be back!
