We are part of a large family group that has been coming to Emerald Isle since the late 80s. We usually rent a big oceanfront duplex but need an extra house to accommodate everyone. This house is only about 1/3 of a mile from the beach and near both our other rental and the public access. The kitchen is well equipped, there's plenty of room to stretch out in the living area, and a nice outdoor seating area underneath.

We met family from across the country in Emerald Isle and The Salty Fox was perfect! Super clean, cute and convenient! They thought of everything and we didn’t need anything other than our luggage in the house. Our hosts were great and always available for any questions! Right down the road from the beach access, it’s an easy walk or golf cart ride! Great little restaurants and shops close by as well! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Emerald Isle!!

Our family had a great time staying in Emerald Isle. The house was conveniently located near the beach and supplied beach chairs and boogie boards. The use of the golf cart helped make a quick walk to the beach a short drive to the beach. There are many beach access points located near the house. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Modern updates throughout the house! There are many outdoor spaces to enjoy. Emerald Isle is an excellent place for your family to truly relax and enjoy the ocean!

We loved the location and the actual property for so many reasons! It was super clean, the king bed was amazing - best sleep on a vacation, front porch was so nice to sip and rock on the chairs in the morning and evening, good air flow for a summer beach house, all the things we needed to just live for a week there. House was super equipped. Most of all, the hosts were fantastic. Great communications and accommodations. Super responsive and understating when we accidentally broke a fridge container drawer. We have already referred this property to another friend. We would stay here again and only here.

It was my anniversary and my husband asked me to invite my homegirls and it’s all on him! Laughs, Grilling & Drinks, Cards, Dominoes & WALKS DIRECTLY TOBTHE WATER - THE BEST WEEKEND EVERRRR! Everything was provided in the home. Down to body wash & more than we needed kitchen amenities! Never had to leave home for anything! (Except some Advil the day after the #AnniversaryDrinks) - The cleaning Lady Tammy IS A DOLL! (we were running 10 mins behind leaving for checkout and she was patient and sweet to my family as we loaded up like we were old friends. THE BEST EMERALD ISLE #Baecation 💖💖💖

Great little house for our (not so young) girl’s trip. Super clean and a great location. Loved the outdoor shower with hot water. If going to beach with gear you should rent the golf cart. Would definitely stay here again.

What a great place with a super host. New kitchen is really nice. We had fun BBQing off the back deck. Decks were great for coffee in the morning and a cocktail at night. We rented the golf cart to explore the neighborhood. Short walk to the beach and several beach access points within walking distance made it fun to explore. This place is close to everything-restaurants, groceries, go-carts and miniature golf. Would absolutely go back here.

We were on the Island for Christmas visiting family and there were enough of us that we needed additional space. This property met our needs perfectly - comfortable, clean, and an easy walk (~1/3 mile) to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and low-key. We liked being just off Coast Guard road as it made for reduced traffic and easy travel to the grocery store and other areas of interest. If you have time, visit Fort Macon and the NC Aquarium. Communication with the host was great. Would stay again.

Loved our stay at Pappy’s Newhouse. We brought our bikes and found this house to be a quick bike ride to restaurants, ice cream shop, go karts, mini golf and seashell seeking at The Point. What a perfect last summer hurrah!

We had a wonderful time at this location. It was close to the beach -!using golf cart was perfect! We also brought our boat and had had such a good time exploring the ICW and local water ways. Neal was great and super accommodating- even bringing us new chairs and recommendations for restaurants and the marina we used. Highly recommend Pappa Newhouse!

The house was perfect for our family of 5 (including 3 teens). Appliances/fixtures were updated, layout was wonderful. I was a bit skeptical as we usually stay oceanfront further down the island but this house proved me wrong! The golfcart made getting to the beach a breeze. Being minutes away from Publix made shopping so easy. We were also less than 5 minutes away from most things that we wanted to do and never got caught in any island traffic. The neighborhood is perfect for a relaxing vacation. My teens loved walking around each night and I never worried about their safety. Neal was a wonderful host and made the entire process effortless. We will definitely be back!

Property is nicely renovated with new appliances/Kitchen/baths.. Nice bedrooms. Golf cart run to the beach is easy to bring all your chairs etc. Close enough to walk without carrying your beach stuff. You can also walk to a few restaurants.. My only two recommendations at this time to the owner is that they add a few normal/local channels to Roku(unless they are there and I just could not figure it out) and... Update the pillows on the beds a bit plus add a few more to the that big king master.. As with any rental I suggest you bring your own pillows...if you can!!! . Thanks again. Great stay...

Pet friendly, near beach, golf cart provided. Lay back and enjoy. I grew my beard as my main hobby this week. Easy ride or car trip to everything we needed. I really liked the host too. It’s hard to summarize— but maybe just laid back and perfect.
