About this cottage rental
Inside the property, the large lounge boasts a comfortable window seat from which both the busy Keswick town centre and beautiful mountain top views can be enjoyed. There is complimentary WIFI throughout, and smart TV, DVD player, and IPod docking station in the lounge.
The Kitchen diner also has a sofa, a flat screen TV and dining table for six which can be extended. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you would need for a perfect self-catering holiday; ceramic hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and lots of cupboard space.
The three bedrooms are all on the second floor. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, there is a second double bedroom with a small double bed, and a roomy twin bedroom. Bed linen and towels are provided.
The family bathroom is on the second floor with bath and shower mixer.
The property is double glazed and has gas fired central heating so is warm and cosy in the winter months. There is a private parking space to the rear of the property. Access is via a staircase (at the rear of the building) which leads to the entrance door on the first floor.

We went to the Keswick Recycling Centre to dispose of are paper & cardboard
Problem with outside Bins reported it to office.

An excellent property. The location was perfect being just off of the main shopping area and provided easy access to places of interest outside of the town. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge was spacious and comfortable. My only negative was the mattress which I found uncomfortable, otherwise the letting deserved a 5 star in every area.

While other reviewers have commented on the entrance in the rear courtyard, having previously rented another flat in this row we knew what to expect and were not put off. The flat itself is comfortable and the locaton could not be better for the views out of the windows and the convenience for shops, restaurants etc after a long day walking. Although after a sunny day it was uncomfortably hot in the front bedrooms.

This is the 2nd tie we have stayed, and we’re very happy with the experience. The location is great. The steps up to the apartment would mean I wouldn’t recommend it to someone with mobility issues.

Stay for 1 week and had no complaints. Very clean, tidy and fitted accommodation. Kitchen has everything you need with plenty of space to relax. Comfortable sleeping with handy black out blinds. Parking directly outside of the property and located within 2 minute walk of the high street. Would recommend

The interior of the property was very spacious and well equipped, and the location was good being minutes from the shops, bars and restaurants in Keswick, as well as being within walking distance of the lake. Other reviews have mentioned this - there are 15 quite steep exterior metal steps up to the property which is on the first floor, which should perhaps be made clearer in the description. Also, the entrance steps are in essentially in an alleyway which was full of rubbish from the restaurants on the ground floor - apparently the week we stayed there was a problem with the bin collections, but despite this, there was rubbish all over the alleyway which remained throughout the week - it didn't give a very good first impression of the property and wasn't great to come home to every evening. Once inside, however, we had no issues.

Large clean two story apartment above commercial stores in downtown Keswick. Easy access from highways and to all areas and scenic drives in the lake district. Includes one parking spot great central place to see all of the lake district.

This place is a cracker. Central, beautifully furnished, well stocked. Fabulous sofa with lots of living space. Very clean and a fantastic De Longhi coffee machine (uses ground coffee). Warm and welcoming. The only downside is not the apartment but the outside steps in the dark so leave the porch light on if you are going out at night.

Alban Rise is the best of many places is Keswick we have rented over the last decade and more. Comfortable, clean, very spacious, centrally located and with a generously sized dedicated parking bay. Worth noting that it is a 1st floor flat and the stairs from the car park contain one steep step that would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues

Enjoyed our stay at Alban Rise, would come again
Had a great time, great flat and location, very clean and comfy, only issue we had was the outside stairs leading to the flat, the top two stairs were high, and was caught out a couple of times.
