About this house rental

This bright and sunny vacation home is perfect for hosting families and friends throughout the year. All furnishings new in 2022 and the location is a 1/4 mile to Sunapee Harbor. The house includes an open first floor (kitchen/dining room/living room) with a deck overlooking the back yard. Additionally, the totally renovated walk out basement has a large living room and game area so your group has plenty of space to spread out.

You'll have passes to the local town beach, which has concessions, a playground, basketball court and paddleboards amd kayaks to sign out for free. Picnic tables, lounge chairs and umbrellas are also available at no cost.

1/4 mile to Sunapee Harbor - evening band concerts, summer outdoor movies, dinner boat cruise, ice cream and local shops

5 miles to Mount Sunapee - ski in the winter and Adventure Park in the summer with a ropes course and mountain biking

10 miles to New London - shopping, restaurants, summer playhouse & Colby-Sawyer College

29 miles to Hanover - Dartmouth College, shops & restaurants

We had a wonderful stay while we were in town for my niece’s wedding! Beautiful and quiet location just perfect for our needs! Lots of room, fully stocked kitchen and ver comfortable. This is our second stay at this property and we love it! The house was pristine when we arrived and the check in process was easy. The house is only about 10 minutes from Mt. Sunapee - so it is a great choice for a ski weekend. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the basement game room was a huge hit with my kids! We will definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful stay at this pristine home in Lake Sunapee. Quarter mile walk to lake was perfect, but but the layout of the home was what made it fun! Enough space for all and and 3 bathrooms is rare! We’ll be back!

This house is absolutely amazing! We have been coming up to the lake for 15 years and this house has been the best so far! It was so clean, had everything we needed and amazing game room/ basement. Could not have asked for a better experience. Owner was so nice and great to work with! We can’t wait to be back!

Beautiful property! Gary was very responsive during the planning process. The listing was very accurate. The property was extremely clean and comfortable - equipped with everything we needed! Great location-close to many restaurants. He reached out to be sure we had everything we needed. We brough our surf boat - location was close to multiple public boat launches. Property was quiet/private. We played ping pong every night! I would highly recommend-we will be returning!

My husband and I, along with several other family members stayed at this beautiful Sunapee House for my daughter’s college graduation. The house was stunning, very clean, in a quiet, semi-secluded area. The set up was perfect for our party of 7. Checking in and out was a breeze. I received a text from Me. Gary the day of arrival welcoming us. I did have one question about our departure and he responded immediately with a very simple and gracious response. I highly recommend staying here. We had a wonderful time staying here- stayed for one week. It's very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Nightly pool and ping pong tournaments were so much fun. Conveniently located- we had the full New England experience. Owner was always readily available. We would absolutely stay here again.

This house was perfect for our family of five. Each kid enjoyed having their own room and loved playing ping pong and pool downstairs. We spent our days skiing. The house was a quick drive to the mountain. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and found the kitchen to be well stocked. The owner was very responsive, and even gave us restaurant recommendations. We would love to stay here again!

We spent a wonderful ski weekend at this home. The house itself is very cute - everything looks brand new - and the beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve had at a rental! The basement game room was a HUGE hit for my three kids (9, 11, 13) and provided hours of entertainment. The house is an easy 8 minute drive to the mountain, which was super convenient for skiing. The gas fireplace in the living room was a nice touch at the end of a long day on the slopes. The owner was friendly and responsive. We will definitely stay here again!

Upon arrival, the home looks small. But we knew from the pictures that there was space for all six of us with four bedrooms and an open area for gathering. This home was clean and clear of "stuff". So there was plenty of room for us to spread out. And the kitchen was well stocked with the right utensils to prepare meals. The furniture, (beds, couches etc.) was very comfortable. Everyone slept well after skiing all day. We did have a little trouble getting the key out of the frozen lock box. But Gary answered out text for help immediately and was able to get us in quickly. I would stay here again in a minute.

I rented this house in Sunapee for the Thanksgiving weekend and it was awesome! First, the house looked brand new, the open kitchen, big dining table and adjoining family room was ideal for our Thanksgiving meal while watching football! The big finished basement with ping pong/pool table provided hours of fun for my 20+ year old kids, and the location was perfect. We walked into Sunapee Harbor several times and were 10 minutes from Sunapee Mountain for wonderful hiking. The owner responded within minutes to any question I had. We highly recommend this place!

The home is a beautiful set up with a large open living and dining area, deck, three bedrooms and 2 baths and a huge lower level with a great room, bed/bath and laundry. Everything is new - furniture beds etc- and very clean. Will book again!

The house and accommodations were great....very clean, great location and many amenities. We had a great time checking out the area and loved Gary's recommendations for hikes and dinner...Salt Hill Pub Shanty and 74 Main. We played lots of ping pong, corn hole, and air hockey! Great weekend!

Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Loved the hilltop location surrounded by newer homes. Great area to take a quiet walk with easy access to the Sunapee Harbor. This was a short 5-night stay during the beginning of the area's seasonal shut down, so we were not able to take advantage of the additional amenities offered by the rental and area.

First and foremost Gary was wonderful to work with, communicating exceptionally well. VRBO wise - frankly - this house rates up in the top 10 percent of properties we have ever stayed at and the pictures don’t do this property justice. Everything was close to perfect. This (fairly new) and beautiful house was super, super clean. The kitchen was more than fully stocked and had everything we needed. The deck, just off the indoor dining area, afforded a simple and easy outdoor eating option. Strong WiFi signals enabled good outdoor internet connectivity and excellent streaming TV capabilities. With a reasonable ten minute walk to Sunapee harbor we had Ice cream often. Pay attention to Gary’s heads up, last leg directions, as our GPS directions were incorrect. Excellent stay and we expect to return someday!

Our visit to Sunapee staying at this home was so wonderful! The entry was easy, the home was spotless and inviting, with both lake/mt decor that suited the area, and each bedroom/bathroom felt pampering in its own way. All the kitchen amenities offered what we needed to avoid eating out for every meal and the basement provided a cool air setting during the heatwave. Our family of 5 was so comfortable — playing pool in the evenings, corn hole and grilling during the day, walking into the harbor area, and relaxing on the deck with complete privacy. We can’t wait to return to Sunapee next summer and look forward to renting from Gary again! Additionally, we received wonderful recommendations for the area’s offerings, as it was our first time here. The lake itself is beautiful and we thoroughly took advantage of the included pass to Dewey beach—close enough for a 5 min drive and quiet enough to feel like we were actually residents for the weekend:) The brochures about the area located on the kitchen counter were also really current and helpful to gauge our activities for the time we were there. Totally recommend the narrated 2pm boat tour out of the harbor (fun for ages 4-40+) and the aerial tour to the top of Mt Sunapee (also appropriate for all ages above!).

We had a great time! It was perfect for my husband, 2 teenage boys, and myself. We had plenty of space and the boys were able to enjoy the downstairs and have some privacy. The house was SO clean and simple. I loved that we had everything we needed and there was no clutter. We were able to make ourselves feel right at home immediately. The private beach is a short 5 minute drive and very clean. We enjoyed going down in the evenings for night swims....so relaxing!! Gary...thank you for answering any questions I had promptly and helping with local suggestions 😁
