About this apartment rental
Stay in one of the most iconic properties in Eureka Springs! This large basement studio apartment is located right next door to the Crescent hotel and within a short walk to everything downtown. It is located in the lower level of the famous Doctor Ellis House, a space that was originally setup to be a bridal shop and hosts 11 crystal chandeliers. Built in 1886, the home has been completely renovated with historic charm, but the comfortable amenities you want. A quieter retreat, but still close to all the fun!
This rental is next door to the Crescent hotel. It was featured in Season 2, episode 13 of the Ghost Hunters TV show when the GH crew came to film the Crescent Hotel. The owners of the Ellis house at that time had put together the Ghost tours at the hotel that are now one of our top tourist activities in town. The house is within walking distance to White Street where Ermilio's Italian restaurant and the Sat Morning Farmer's Market is located. It is on the historic loop and 1 block from 2 separate trolley stations that can take you around town. To walk to the downtown shopping district, you can take a paved, wooded trail that is about a 10-15 minute walk downhill and uphill on the way back. It is slightly challenging to walk back, but not too strenuous.
PLEASE NOTE: This unit also has 2 small step-downs inside, one into the sleeping area and one into the living area. We have marked those for safety, but please be aware.
We live on the main floor of the house so you may hear us walking around upstairs.
Please send us an inquiry if you have a special request.
AdDITIONAL HOUSE RULES:
PETS: One dog is allowed in the unit, but there is an additional fee of $75 per trip. It must be crated when you are not present. Please do not place the crate by the stairs. Sound travels up and down the stairs very easily. NOT ALLOWED are dogs that are aggressive or that bark excessively. Please clean up after your pet in the yard.
FIREPLACE: The gas fireplace is off in the warmer months and will be turned on in the fall for use when it is cooler.

Was wonderful.

My husband and I came to Eureka Springs for a wedding and booked our 3 night stay here. It exceeded all our expectations! It was romantic and cozy and in the perfect location within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants! The owner responded immediately when we had trouble with the door code upon arrival and when we needed the pilot light lit to the fireplace. Everything was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. We slept so well! The leaves were beginning to turn and it was a beautiful time of year to visit. We enjoyed zip lining, exploring downtown, and ate at some wonderful restaurants including Rogue’s Manor, Local Flavor, and had a wonderful breakfast at the Spring on Main. Our only regret was not staying longer! We will definitely book here again when we return for another romantic getaway!

Lovely rental right next door to the Crescent hotel on the historic upper loop. Eureka Springs is a beautiful little town. I stayed in this VRBO three nights. There is a lot of space and light, and everything was clean and comfortable. I didn’t cook but it looked like the kitchen was well stocked. Coffee was provided (which was good, given there is no coffee in town until 8 am). I worked remotely for several days and wi-fi connection was good, as was desk setup (my colleagues loved the chandeliers in the background). I would have liked a few more recommendations and/or instructions provided, but I’m sure that will come with time. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
