Not A good neighborhood to vacation in. property is run down, poorly maintained and smelled like paint fumes and strong disinfectants. Had no choice but to stay but would've left if I could've gotten a refund upon arrival.

It was a nice location for stores and not too far from Virginia Beach however there was a minor leak coming from a door and there was paint on the furniture like someone was in a rush to get the job done. Overall it was a nice stay

Front Door – key left under mat (unsafe) and door in complete state of disrepair. Lock falling off, no real door handle. Had to prop a chair under the door at night to feel safe to sleep to keep door secure. Entire door in frame loose and molding around door in bad shape. Had to use one key to open and close door as no working door handle/knob.Heated oil air fresheners in every room – to hide what? Had to be unplugged as couldn’t breathe and unsafe for our petInside – not clean, sticky floors, all surfaces had grime and hand/fingerprints all over, things in cushions of furniture. The kitchen was deplorable and in such disrepair, we did not cook at all. Found dirty dishes hidden. Sink clogged. Most of the electric sockets did not work. Refrigerator missing handle. Dryer full of lintBack door and yard – unkempt and dirty, fencing had numerous holes, trash thrown about in several placesBathroom with loose towel racks and dirty bathtub. One bedroom – loose flooring and no remote to TVBeds actually comfortable and clean. Community relatively quiet and seemed safe.Host messaging about issues with parking and surprising us with notice our cars may we towed as host did not provide us with parking passes but told us where to park. Host messaging about personal packages coming to unit and then waking us to pick it up when it came. Communication on the rental was sparse and not clear at all, no house rules given or posted in unit. All around dreadful experience and stay, could we have gone elsewhere we would have.
