The property was very clean and spacious for our big family. I liked that it was dog friendly as an option. There was a cute little fire pit. They provided bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards and games. Unfortunately the boogie boards were broken. The washer was broken also. The property was advertised to have a gym and a hot tub

This was the first time my family and I went to the Outer Banks. The house was spacious and had the necessary amenities so that we could be comfortable. The location was very convenient for our planned activities so we didn’t have to spend too long driving. Overall we had a wonderful time and the house was perfect for our needs!

We had to book last minute, considering the short notice the house was fine, location was only a short walk to beach, the block the house was on was busy and less than great curb appeal. House was clean however a bit dated. Felt like grandmas hand me downs. Beach chairs provided but they were practically unusable, should have brought ours. Boogie boards also supplied but all broken. The game room was dank and damp. Huge shower, however, curtains does not go all the way down to the floor so if you want to wash the the floor then take a shower there. Bringing our own sheets and blankets was fine we drove, guess we should have brought batteries too. Every remote was dead not that it mattered for two of the bedrooms tvs were so small kids ended up watching on tablets instead. Bottom line, it was fine. Clean, safe and not too far from beach. Just needs a bit of a refresh.

We loved our stay and the house was perfect for our 2 families! Lori is extremely accommodating and definitely went above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable and got to enjoy our entire trip! The house was clean and the layout of the rooms was perfect. Looking forward to visiting again!

Communication was great from the start. Host was accommodating with late arrival and early departure as all guests were coming from across the East Coast. Home was spacious with plenty of room to escape and relax. Washer/Dryer was a nice touch given the length of stay and unpredictable weather. Bikes provided gave yet another activity for the group to explore. Fenced in backyard and easy access was perfect for the dog on our trip. Middle distance between the Sound and the Ocean, keep that in mind – not walking distance, but very short drive. Extremely close to a Target if need any supplies. Reasonable price considering safe area and comparable properties. Would book again.

Halfway between the beach and the boat ramp in a safe and clean neighborhood.
Priced competitively when compared to similar properties in the area.

Enjoyed our stay here! Clean and spacious. The door off the primary bedroom going to the fenced in back yard was perfect for travel with our small dog! The game room with air hockey was a hit with our visiting grandchildren and children! Great family time! Easy walk to the sound side for the perfect sunset! We would stay again.

Got this place as a birthday present for my daughters 40th. My oldest daughter came in from Texas and she surprised me with my great grandson coming also. We saw the lighthouses, walked Manteo boardwalk, went to kitty hawk and lots of shops. Of course had to go to the beach and get shells. There is a public access to the right that was perfect for sunset pictures. So centrally located and an amazing price.

Communication with the owner was great - she was very accommodating with regard to early arrival and late departure, which we really appreciated! The home was nicely laid out - perfect for our family and particularly our kids when they wanted their own space. The game room in the basement was the best! And having a fenced backyard for our pup was perfect, with easy access down a set of stairs from the primary bedroom. I don't think the house can reasonably be considered "walking" distance to the beach if you have kids, as the street to cross to get to the beach is SUPER busy (and we were there at an off-time, so it would be even busier at peak times)!! That being said, if you don't have kids, it may be manageable - there is a crosswalk to cross the main street to Target and then you can follow the road to a beach access point. Regardless, it was a quick drive to get to the beach and an easy, close access point with maybe 4-5 parking spots that worked for us (there were access points a bit north with more parking, e.g., for busier times). Otherwise, the location of the house is fine - felt safe and was pretty quiet - it was a nice walk the other direction to the sound, too! If we were staying at OBX solely for the beach, I might prefer a spot closer with more easy access for the beach, but this home was perfect for driving/exploring OBX and coming back to sleep/relax!

Cute, beach home that was clean and made use of all the space very well! Property owner was communicative and accommodating as we were traveling with a little one! They even included a guest info book with fun things to do. 10/10 would stay again!

Our family enjoyed staying at the house for a quick weekend getaway. The place was clean and larger than we expected. We didn’t realize that linens were not provided, but we got a quick response message and were able to sort it out. It was very nice to have the fenced backyard for our dog. Would definitely recommend just don’t forget your own sheets!

This home is exactly as advertised and more. We traveled with our two dogs and the fenced in area was perfect. Beach access was a short drive. The house was very clean and had all the essential, including a Keurig. Lori was very responsive and helpful. The house was close to everything and we were so lucky to find this place that was dog friendly.

Let’s me first point out how nice the owners of the property were. They were very accommodating and even let us check in early. But traffic had a different idea. Secondly the house was huge you can fit a lot of people in this home and i hope anyone can see why we immediately picked this home. Definitely will go here again!!

There is a very busy highway, and I mean very busy that you would have to cross to get over to the other side to continue your walk to the beach. If memory serves me correctly the listing says you can walk to the beach. There was another reviewer who mentioned you have to drive. But no information was given in the rental about where you can park. So I had to ask the owner.
There was some difficulty with communicating with the owner who only wanted to communicate on this platform perhaps because that is what owners are told they need to do?
I asked for a cell phone number so we could text each other which would have saved some time since this platform wasn't working costing us extra time just to get the code.
Finally, once in the rental I found the owner's number on the printed material there and from there we were able to text each other without an issue. The problem is that the online platform is not consistent with connection, whereas texting is.
Please be prepared to bring filtered water because the municipal water in this location must have a lot of chlorine in it. It made me nauseous. We had stayed at a rental in Kitty Hawk with the same issue. My feeling is that owners of rentals really should get some kind of whole house water filter for guests. It would make the stay so much more enjoyable and healthier. Just washing my hair in this water made it so tacky. Not even a conditioner was much help. Just be prepared for that.
The house itself is very nice. Beautiful hardwood floors and the master bedroom has a beautiful light coming in from the coral curtains! Very calming! And the back door in the master bedroom goes directly to the fenced in yard which was very convenient especially late at night when our dogs wanted to go out.
I did see two weaks spots in the fence that should be repaired. You have to go down into the yard to see this. One area is on one corner where one of the pickets isn't there and tiles have been put there to "patch up" the bottom part. Then I noticed in another corner there is a gap between one of the fence supports and the edge of house. This gap would be large enough for a very small dog to get through, as would the openings between the pickets on the gate. So if you have a very tiny dog you need to watch out! Our smallest dog is 20 lb and she could not fit through those openings but it's always a good rule of thumb to be down in the yard with your dogs to keep an eye out.

We loved this place! Such a nice open layout and so very clean. The game room was really cool. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved having a fenced in yard for our dogs and it was nice to sit out on the front porch. The sound was some blocks away but it was a nice walk to a beautiful sunset. Definitely have to drive to the beach bc it’s hard to walk across the busy street. It’s super close to the food lion, duck donuts, and a yummy bagel place! Hosts were very helpful. Would stay again!

What a perfect beach property. Close to everything, including the beach and the best sunsets in OBX
Great stay with plenty of room to spread out or gather together.
