The location can't be beat! The hotel is conveniently located close to the historic district and is only a mile away from Terminal Terrestre for easy day trips to Cajas National Park and Ingapirca. The staff, though can't speak English, made every attempt to help us out. Thanks Nelson and Christian!
We stayed for 3 nights, and there was no room cleaning provided (didn't feel sanitary as the used toilet paper sat in the bin for the length of our stay). We skipped a few showers as the water is cold. I wish water in the shower was hot.

This hostal is so lovely. The building is charming, our room was huge with a lovely balcony overlooking the pretty street below. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Shower was hot. Comfy bed. Quiet which was great for us as a couple.
No kitchen facilities, not even fridge, microwave, or just a kettle would be great. To be fair nothing advertised there would be and the place is sooo lovely I wouldn’t want to dwell too much on this. But would have been nice to be able to make a coffee ourselves in the morning.

This hostel is run by a very friendly and courteous owner. It is centrally located close to the main square and other sights. The building is charming and well looked after, with spacious rooms playfully distributed over the wooden floors. All very neat and clean.
Maybe (one of) the top hostel in current South America trip!

Excellent location. Milton and Cathy are perfect hosts.

This hotel is very friendly and the price for value is very high. The location could not be better for a visit to the Historical Center of Cuenca. My particular room is excellent for one person...probably too cramped for two. The bed is really comfy with quality bedding.
There are windows that open into the inner courtyard so sounds from there can come up if people are talking in the night down there etc. People arriving late, leaving early...but the pros outway the cons.

Love the location! Our 'room' was on 2 floors, each of us had a be on a separate floor and we more privacy than we would in a standard room with 2 beds.

Felt more than a hotel - but nevertheless I really liked it :-)

It was centrally located yet still quiet. The room I was given was huge. WiFi worked very well.
The hot water went out twice. Luckily, I noticed before I stepped into the shower. That said, the problem was sorted within minutes by the friendly and accommodating staff.

Found a much better place in the same street, ended up only staying the first night, and was immediately refunded.
The room was cold and very noisy, even if I insistently asked at the check-in time if the room was not very loud. On top of that, i woke up all bitten, from what i suspect was bed bugs.

Great little spot, I stayed in the top room. Has a atrium in the middle of the building that most rooms look out to. They provide a towel and soap. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner. Lots of hot water but shower is quite small. Good wifi. Close to everything and easy to walk around. Also a block off the tram so if you fly in take that to the central area. The hosts were very kind.
