It’s a solid three star hotel. It’s clean enough and though the room is a bit small, it’s a bed to sleep in. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money this is the place.

The hotel bed was uncomfortable. I am 9 months pregnant so a good comfortable bed is an essential. I had worst night because of the terrible mattress that was placed on the bed upside down. So the mattress didnt feel stable and sank in when sleeping over it. I informed the staff the next morning about the mattress the next morning.

The girls working at the reception are amazing, always smiling and very kind. The hotel itself isn’t worth even a 2 star. The room I had smell badly cigarette and was outdated. Once you are in your room you travel back to 1960. Everything is old.

The area and easy walking to places i wanted to see was nice.. Room view over river and view of Cathedral was very nice.. Room itself was a bit dirty and had a musk smell that i airednout with window opened for a bit. No real decent parking except side street.. Breakfast was really good.. I cant give full stars cause of room condition and parking.. But all in all the stay was nice

The free parking is not really free, only a few a few places in front of the hotel are free and it is hard to find it. The underground parking costs 9 euros per night. The bathroom is not updated, the bathtub faucet is hard to adjusted.

Great location and pet friendly. Decent breakfast buffet. However, the rooms are small, outdated and not sufficiently cleaned. That was disappointing. Finally, parking is extremely limited: call ahead to reserve a spot!

Hotel is generally in a poor condition decoration wise. Paint scuffs and scratches everywhere. Carpet dirty. Toilet bowl badly stained. On the othwr hand, breakfast was brilliant and the location is very good.

Room was fairly dirty, with spider webs hanging in corners of room, dead bugs in brochure display case and dust along furniture in the room. Property is in need of remodel.

The very small car park outside the hotel was already full when we arrived so we were directed to a nearby underground car park. This was fun as we were in a mini bus so parking was done with baited breath! When we got to the hotel the lady on the check in desk was excellent, superb English and very helpful. Our room was a bit tired looking but functional, clean and with decent wifi. There was a desk for working, a small wardrobe and a bath too! The hotel location was very useful for us - 5 minutes walk to the cathedral and old town. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and although the menu was very limited and obviously not cooked to order it was decent food and filling although expensive for what it was. There wasn't anything else we could see within easy walking distance anyway. Once again, the lady working there was superb. Breakfast was surprisingly good - a wide range of food in a buffet style with a different, but also very helpful, lady assisting. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room too - I know it's a cheaper hotel but it was still nearly €80 a night, enough to afford a kettle so you can have a coffee when you wake up and in the evening without having to go downstairs.

Hotel is in need of a renovation. Has an overall feeling of not clean although the place obviously has cleaners in every day. Breakfast was fun, only an hour into breakfast service pretty much everything had gone and no staff around replacing anything. Did see one guy come out once with one french stick of bread then vanish never to be seen again. Although we booked two nights non refundable we decided to push on with our journey and lose the money.

The room at the hotel was surprisingly dirty. I did not felt safe either. My room had a connecting door to other room that was occupied by a loud person.

On arrival there is no parking facilities. Non English speaking hotel staff did not offer help with parking. The restaurant closed earlier than the 10o clock closing time and so nowhere to eat. My booking details clearly stated 'baby crib' in extras but we had to build this ourselves with no cot bed linen. Only 2 towels provided for a family of 4.

Pleasant and helpful staff. The only thing which I dislike about Ibis is the lack of tea or coffee making facilities in rooms. It is not very convenient to have to ask for a cup of boiled water. The bed in particular was very comfortable and obviously new. The bathroom provided just two bath towels and no hand towels. The car parking facilities are very limited outside the hotel and it was necessary to reverse into the main road to leave the car park though we were lucky to get a space at all. The hotel is a genuine short walk of about five minutes to the centre of Metz. Road works in the local area made leaving the town difficult
