It was very nice and a good deal for your money. The facilities were undergoing renovations which were a slight challenge, but I appreciate the commitment to the future.

An excellent hotel. Friendly, attentive, caring, and professional staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet with a wide variety of food choices. Several other excellent restaurants are also on site. The spa employees were excellent and very professional. A convenient place to stay if you want to be picked up for your sightseeing tours. Right next to the excellent Maya museum and the San Miguelito archeological site. Access to miles of breathtaking beach. Spacious and clean rooms. Overall an excellent place to stay and relax.

Our stay was the best we’ve had in a long time. The staff was attentive and sweet, registration was quick & easy as the check out. Food and restaurants were varied & delicious. And the turquoise ocean was unbelievable ! We’ll definitely return.

Property was clean, staff was very friendly.
However construction going on, AC was not cold and the food was subpar.
All inclusive drinks for room is not true, no alcohol in room just 2 beers.
It is not unlimited, if you need a refill (soda/water/anything) it’s $5 fee each refill within 24 hours.
Buffet was a D especially - Salon Maya.
Good thing there was room service which was ok.
Bars close by pool at 6.
Lobby at 12am.
I’ve been to Cancun a number of times at all inclusive resorts. Unfortunately, Will not be recommending.

I returned to this property based on my stay last year. Last year at check in I was sat in a comfortable lounge area for check in. I was given a lot of helpful information about the resort and the staff took care of check in for me. This year I was sat on the far side of the lobby behind a pillar… offered spa treatments and when I declined they were done with me. I was then left to stand in a long line to check in.
At check in I was told I was being offered a free room upgrade… what they didn’t tell me was this room was just outside the elevators, very noisy, and the construction on the property was happening all around the room. Not so much of an upgrade.
This year the time was considered off season… which is fine. But they don’t tell you in the app or check in that some restaurants will be closed randomly. Made it hard to plan meals. I was also never able to make a reservation on the app… it always told me all the restaurants were not available even though I attempted early in the morning and throughout the morning.
The men in the dark blue shirts at the rec pool are creepy. One of them told me I was going to get murdered while drinking alone at the resort. This was not funny to me as a solo female traveler. I moved to a different pool area and enjoyed the rest of my time spent at the pool.
Overall the property is very clean, the food is good. Just needs some minor improvements.

We enjoyed the facilities in the property. However, we did not like that at the check in we were told that as part of Expedia VIP benefits we get to have a personal breakfast with the hotel representatives where we will be shown all of the facilities of the hotel. In reality it was a time share sales pitch which lasted for 90 mins. We realized it even before the breakfast but the Caracol personnel was so pushy and they would not just let us go. They should not mislead people like that. As an Expedia Gold member we appreciated the room upgrade! That's was really good.

Easy access to all hotel services. Good food. Friendly staff. No problems booking reservations for dinner. Did not care much for the high pressure time share sales pitch that wasted 2.5 hours of our first morning, but after that it was a great place for a holiday.

The restaurant staffers and room service members are extremely helpful but the front desk clerks are not friendly as they should.

Entertainment was not good at all. I feel bad about saying it, very generic & bad. Food was okay. Did not like being hassled to buy into their vacation program. Spa fees were more than doubled than in US. It seemed they were tracking you down in hallways or pool trying to sell their spa treatments. How about making prices reasonable and people would book and maybe more than once. Therefore staff would be busy doing the treatments than trying to find customers. You go to a resort for rest and relaxation and pampering. But the resort was nice, easy access to airport, staff great and some really went over and beyond. The beach and water was beautiful.
2.0 / 10.0
Annoying sales people, bad food, bad service, no shades on pool or beach.
I was looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacations with my family. Avoid at all cost Wyndham Grand if you are looking for the same.
They have several annoying sales people in the lobby that harass you every time you pass by. They even call you to your room several times a day and knock constantly on your door to try to trick you into accepting a “free trip or heavily discounted” where they will try to force you into to signing a time share contract with abusive clauses. Do not fall for it.
Wyndham Grand Cancun is not full all inclusive. They have several techniques for making you difficult to consume food and beverages. First no food at the pool. The restaurants have limited tables, waitress and service hours. All the waitress have bad attitude and try to avoid you at all cost. Once you finally order, the portions are ridicule and the wait time is huge. You better order three dishes per person the first time. Even with the terrible service the waitress ask for a tip and get mad if its not over 10 usd. They expect you tip them on every meal.
Bring a beach umbrella with you. Wyndham expects you to pay them USD 97 per day for any beach umbrella or shade around the pool or on the beach.
Avoid Wyndham! On the way back to the airport the taxi driver said that all the people that he pickups from Wyndham has the same complains. He recommended us the Fiesta Americana Condesa or Dreams instead.

The resort was nice, clean and our room was comfortable. We were upgraded to ocean view from a lagoon view; however on the lagoon side , you get a beautiful sunset. They were doing construction so there was a lot of pounding & noise during the day if you wanted to be in your room. The spa charges more than double than the US. Did not go even though i had a $70 credit through Expedia, still too expensive. Then was constantly being asked around the pool and hallways if i was interested. I would think a better marketing plan would be, make it affordable and there would be more bookings and staff would be busy doing their job than harassing people for work. People go on vacation to relax & be pampered. I personally would have gone if it was a reasonable price, maybe even twice. The other thing we didn’t care for is being chased down hallways, even trying to get in elevator, to be hassled into booking a breakfast and 90 minute meeting to buy into their resort. I do not like being pressured into anything. How about providing info after a short little presentation & let people to decide what works for them. I'm the type if you pressure or try too hard.. it a hard NO! The nightly entertainment, not sure what to say about that .. the room and the entertainers, seriously dont want to be ugly but it was horrible. Martinis before almost got us through.
Again the resort was great, the beach and water was amazing. The staff was great, a couple of them really stood out.

I stayed at this Wyndham location for six days. Cannot say anything bad about this place. Reached there and was greeted warmfully. Customer service no 1. Food was awesome. Lea Vinci was good. La Paloma was also very good the breakfast was awesome the omelette counter and a wide variety of buffet.la vista has the good steak. I would recommend people who want to stay in Cancun.

The resort was very nice, clean and friendly staff. only thing I wish they had more music around the resort it was very quiet, had a lot of construction noise from the a.m. all the way until 7 PM Also, the food was lovely very tasteful, but room service was horrible. Each time I ordered room service. My food came overcooked basically burnt.

Overall very good.
The bars around the pools close at 4:00 pm they should extended to 6pm at least. The buffet should be better if they open for lunch too. And the Menus should have more variety. Taste is good dough.

It is great for the price. Staff is great. Just need new entertainment! Will be back next year.

They were doing construction and had a terrible noise. Service was ok. There were not too much options for eating.

Best thing in this resort is room service. They cleaned the room every day and the room view was amazing.
Customer service is very poor and not helpful at all except when they want you to purchase something or offer you package.
Breakfast and lunch is ok however for dinner we had to reserve for a restaurant every day and the waitress were not very nice except couple of them
The open buffet for dinner was like trash food
First time ever I ask the receptionist for conditioner and they say they don’t provide and the craziest that I saw the room service filling up the shampoo and body wash from unknown bottle. That means it’s cheap and unknown.
The sales people that they try to get you to purchase their packages are annoying every time they see you they keep asking you to purchase other stuff.
The location is very nice.
They are very poor in customer service and food quality and variety compared to other places I visited in Mexico.

My family and I wanted to give this resort a try, but we really didn't like the place.
2.0 / 10.0
Good: View, cleanliness, waitstaff (accommodating/friendly), activities staff, cleaning staff, Italian restaurant
Bad: Food options/rotation. No typical western breakfast options such as bacon/sausage. Burgers & hotdogs were very salty. Steak was mostly chewy and of low quality. Chicken and fish were dry and chewy.
Even worse:
-Watered down drinks tasting almost like sugar water and low quality alcohol. Attitude given for large group dining bookings (La Vista) when it was already booked and requested.
-Excursion booking: shady tactics to sell time shares to get "promotional rate" have to attend breakfast/presentation and asking intrusive questions like "are you single". Note don't even try to book anything with them, Expedia or other bookings are a lot cheaper too. Ex. they want $170 for Chichenitza, Expedia $45-60 plus 45 entrance fee is still less than 170, or if you even get their promotional rate of $100 minus the presentation/headache.
-Adding an additional person was quoted $140/night compared to $170 when i added the same person for an entire week. When I brought this up to them that I can literally get a whole other room, they said if I preferred I can do that instead (very accommodating).
Given the subpar food and drink quality, combined with cash grab tactics and deceptive practices post-booking, I would not recommend this resort to others. There are likely better options available in Cancun’s hotel zone that offer a more enjoyable and transparent experience.

Projeerty is good clean and tidy. Service was a little off may be because they were short of staff or low guest volume. So staff kind of were in a relax mood not interested in taking care of guest. we were forced to go get our own drink or food.
Not a minus but it's the time of the year where in low crowd might have forced this attitude.

Staff went above and beyond. Resort was great for the price. The superior lagoon room was great. The beach was fabulous. Unfortunately the food was HORRIBLE and I'm not a picky eater. The hamburgers and wings by the pool was a life saver compared to all restaurants, buffets etc.
